It's a nice book that is geared towards color gardening. This makes sense as Ms Bowman is a landscape architect in New Hope, PA. The problem is that since it was written in 1999 it is rather old and the colours are basically white red (pink) and of course the beloved blue. The other varieties like the multicolour LA Dreaming or Everlasting

But she does break down the whitest of whites, the creams, and the blue-est of blues which is what most really want. I found the horticultural information fine and very helpful.
