Emmett Moreley has been a Texas Ranger for the past three years, after moving out west to make a name for himself. HIs latest assignment is to apprehend the Beckett Gang, the outlaws responsible for robbing trains throughout the state of Texas. Ready for his big chance to prove he's capable of running his own posse, Emmett receives a tip that the gang plans to rob a train near Rockwood Springs. He sets a trap, preparing to make his arrest. But when things go wrong, he is left chagrined, with only a strikingly beautiful woman with amnesia as a clue as to where the bandits will strike next. Naomi Rutherford doesn't know who she is or where she came from. When she wakes up on a train with no memories of her life or why she is there, she is confused and scared. To make matters worse, an annoying Texas Ranger is accusing her of being in a train robbery gang. Refusing to believe she doesn't know anything, he forces her to go with him as he continues to track down the outlaws. Emmett and Naomi try to fight the attraction between them, but the more time they spend together, the deeper their connections grows. What will happen when Naomi remembers her past? Will it reveal her to be the angel they both hope, or the devil they both fear? LOVE AND THE LAW

I enjoyed this story that is part of a new series, A Texas Lawkeeper Romance, by a group of talented authors. Each story in the series will read as a stand-alone and can be read in any order. The stories will all feature law enforcement heroes and the women who love them. The stories are sweet, clean based stories where the lawman finds his woman. Each will read as a stand-alone book. While this story has Christian elements, it is not preachy.

What a great addition to the Lawkeeper series and with this one not everything is as it seems. Sometimes things are black or white, and the gray area in between must be taken into consideration. For Naomi, she will be caught in the middle between a rock and a hard place. For Ranger Emmett Moreley, he has been tasked with bringing in the Beckett Gang, and he plans on succeeding where others have failed.

“The Becket Gang has been tenacious in their evasiveness. It’s our job to change that.”

The plot will bring Emmett and Naomi face to face on a train, one that is robbed, and she is left holding the bag—literally. Now, Naomi is considered part of the gang, and in an explosion, she has lost her memory. Emmett deals in facts, and won’t let a pretty face sway him. Is Naomi part of this outlaw gang? Is she a victim of circumstances? Will the truth come to light?

“Another fact I’ve come to realize being out here in the West all these years, the definition of what defines the law isn’t measured by arbitrary rules set by man, but rather what God would want us to do according to our faith. If someone ended up trying to do the right thing, even if they didn’t start out that way, why punish them for the beginning when what matters is what they did in the end.”

The story does show that everyone is entitled to seek forgiveness from God. Naomi finds God during trying times, and she will endure hardship, but find comfort too. Emmett and Naomi meeting was no accident, but fate and the hand of God.

I am always excited when I see a new book by Jenna Brandt and with this being part of the Texas Ranger Lawkeeper series made it even better! When Texas Ranger Emmett Moreley is on the trail of a gang of outlaws. They have been robbing trains and when he finally thinks he can nab them, he sets a trap that does not go right at all! What he is left with is Naomi Rutherford, who is holding the goods and cannot remember who she is after an explosion! Well of course our hero thinks she is involved somehow but trying to get the truth may take a long time.
As he will not let her out of his sight, she has to trail along as he continues to try to find the bandits. But as fate often has it, they become attracted in the time they spend together.
Will Emmett ever believe her and will she get her memory back? A sweet novella that will have you turning the pages as fast as you can. Thank you Jenna!

This was a great story. I loved the action of the story and how determined Emmett was to get to the truth of a matter. Naomi appeared to be a pawn in a train robbery, but "conveniently" lost her memory after an explosion. The immediate attraction is noted between Naomi and Emmett when the first meet after the explosion on the train. Emmett is having a hard time believing Naomi, yet is fighting the attraction he has for her. Naomi can't shake the feeling that she is living a life that she didn't expect to be living. I like how even with the doubt that Emmett has for Naomi, he was still willing to talk about a relationship with God with Naomi. The conclusion of the story was not what I expected, but was very satisfying. I had received a copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Another good story!
This book has an interesting take on what could possibly have happened amongst the Bounty Hunters of yester-year. It shows how greed could have ruled their actions regardless of whether someone was brought in alive or dead. It also paints an interesting picture of the value of life for these people.
The main story is well written and shows clearly how love and trust can bring two people together. I really loved how they worked out their problems and were able to do so quickly and efficiently and then get on with their lives.
I am enjoying this series and if you also enjoy a well written, clean romance written about basically good people, then this is the book for you.
I received an Advance Reader Copy and my review above is voluntary and unbiased.

This book returns to the area around Rockwood Springs and we again get to see characters from Lawfully Loved and Lawfully Wanted.
Texas Ranger Emmett is leading a posse after the Beckett Gang. The train is attacked. Naomi wakes up with amnesia. Emmett believes she's involved with the gang so he takes her prisoner and keeps her with them in the hopes her lies will slip.
How is Naomi involved? Will she recover her memories?
This was my least favourite of the 3 Lawkeeper books by Jenna Brandt. It was ok but nothing special, to me. I much preferred Lawfully Loved. That said, this book was a clean read and worth reading.

Emmet, a Lawman, finds himself in a train that is about to be robbed. He discovers Naomi, a beautiful girl who was rumored to be a part of the gang he’s looking for. After an explosion on the train Naomi has lost her memory. Is she really part of the gang or is there an other story behind her being on the train? And can there really something grow from their attraction for each other?
Again a great, entertaining story with the love and adventure what you always expect in the historical stories of this author.
I really enjoy all the books in this series Lawkeepers series.

Life for a woman in the old west is not easy. Especially being single with the only close relative being a bounty hunter and talking her into corrupting her morals to catch criminals. The hunt she is on gets her hurt and imprisoned. She does everything to redeem herself but she wonders if it will be enough to catch the attention of the ranger she has fallen for. I received a complimentary copy and I am giving a review voluntarily.

I have been enjoying the whole series, and this one was no exception.
A Texas Ranger and woman who doesn't remember her past meet in this lovely Western tale.
The plot was good, and I loved Emmett and Naomi! I liked the faith aspects too.
Overall, I would recommend this to all lovers of clean, historical romances.

I received a copy of this novel from the publisher. This has not affected my review, which is my honest and unbiased opinion.

When an accident during a train robbery happens, Naomi loses her memory of anything prior to that incident. When she is arrested for being a part of the train robbery, things get a little mixed up for the Texas Ranger who arrested her. He had to make sure she did not get away so he kept her by his side 24/7.

Lawfully Forgiven is an exciting historical romance. Texas Rangers and bounty hunters are tracking a gang of train robbers. The robbers may have a woman with them. When Ranger Emmett Moreley finds Naomi she has lost her memory. Is she one of the gang? You will have to read this excellent book to discover how this all ends.

I’m a native Texan so I had to love Texas Ranger Emmett. Naomi enters the scene with an aura of mystery. Who is she? Does she really have amnesia? What is her background? As usual, Jenna Brandt gets us involved with the characters and storyline. So many questions and so many lies, the answers are not easy to find. I enjoyed this book.
