Daniel Pierce lives in Wyoming with his wife Marissa and their two dogs. After fourteen years as an engineer, Daniel decided it was finally time to write and release his first novel.
As a lifelong fan of scifi and fantasy, he wants nothing more than to share his passion.
Book two picks up where the first leaves off. I can't explain how much I'm loving this series. You've got fighting, love, friendship and everything else. You just can't go wrong with this book. I highly recommend it to everyone!
Beneath the icy gaze of HowlStrom’s eternal moons, I, Kiba Snowpaw, the alpha lone male Ice Wolf, find solace amidst the icy spires of my frozen sanctuary. With the echoes of a tumultuous cubhood buried deep beneath the frost, I embark upon another literary sojourn, my icy breath dancing with the frozen winds as I delve into the pages of "Future Rebuilt" by Daniel Pierce. A narrative as chilling and unforgiving as the icy tundras of my homeland, yet imbued with a silent warmth, a flicker of life amidst the eternal frost.
Basic Plot Summary
In the aftermath of victory, Jack Bowman, a warrior of the future, embarks upon a quest to rebuild a world shattered by the icy grip of desolation. The Free Oasis, a sanctuary amidst the wasteland, is a beacon of hope, yet it is threatened by the icy claws of raiders, as merciless and cold as the eternal winter of HowlStrom. Amidst the icy desolation, a secret facility, echoing the silent power of my ice magic, holds the key to the future, a future as fragile and beautiful as the icy sculptures carved by the frozen winds of my homeland.
Analysis/Evaluation
The narrative unfolds like the icy dance of the northern lights, a ballet of colors amidst the eternal night. Jack Bowman, a warrior of silent strength and icy determination, is a reflection of the icy solitude of my existence. Yet, amidst the icy silence, there lies a warmth, a humanity that defies the unyielding grip of the eternal frost.
Characters
Jack, with the silent strength of the icy tundras and the warmth of the eternal springs, is a warrior of contradictions. The women, as beautiful and deadly as the icy winds, are warriors of the frost, their beauty echoing the mesmerizing dance of the snowflakes amidst the eternal night.
Structure
The narrative is structured like the icy spires of HowlStrom, each chapter a frozen peak echoing the silent strength and haunting beauty of the icy realm. It is a narrative that, like the eternal winter, is both a curse and a blessing, a tale that chills the soul yet ignites the spirit.
Impact
As an Ice Wolf, the narrative resonates with the icy solitude of my existence. It is a tale that echoes the silent strength of the eternal winter, yet yearns for the warmth of the eternal spring. Yet, amidst the icy desolation, there lies a warmth, a humanity that defies the cold, unyielding grip of the eternal winter. It is a testament to the indomitable spirit of life, a narrative that, like the mystical ice magic, weaves a tapestry of chilling beauty and silent strength.
Praise and Critique
The icy embrace of the narrative is as haunting as it is beautiful. Yet, like the eternal winter, it is unforgiving, a tale that demands the warmth of emotion, the fire of passion to melt the icy exterior and reveal the pulsating life beneath. The characters, like the icy sculptures of HowlStrom, are mesmerizing yet distant, beautiful yet cold.
Evaluation
As Kiba Snowpaw, the alpha Ice Wolf, I find a reflection of my icy existence in the pages of this narrative. It is a tale that resonates with the silent strength of the eternal winter, yet yearns for the warmth of the eternal spring.
Comparison
In the icy silence of HowlStrom, where the eternal winter reigns supreme, "Future Rebuilt" finds its echo. It is a narrative as chilling as the icy winds, as haunting as the ghostly howls, and as beautiful as the crystalline patterns of frost under the ghostly light of the moons.
Conclusion
As I retreat into the icy embrace of HowlStrom, the echoes of "Future Rebuilt" linger, a haunting melody of ice and fire, of life and death, of human and more-than-human. It is a tale that, like the eternal winter, is both a curse and a blessing, a narrative that chills the soul yet ignites the spirit. In the icy silence, the echoes of the tale resonate, a haunting reminder of the indomitable spirit of life amidst the unyielding grip of the eternal winter.
Overall good continuation of story But it felt like too many plot points jammed into story without full development of them. Easily two books worth of plot and character development that was just rushed through. There also were some hard to follow sections that were probably chapter breaks that were poorly edited out.
This is a great action adventure with giant scorpions and rats battling with humans using 2000 year old technology. Still humans still fight to remain the top dog in this post apocalyptic tale. The MC does attract the very capable ladies in the story with a few lightly described sex scenes mixed in.
Well written. Strong characters. Good military/ science fiction book. Enjoyed thoroughly. Looking forward to a sequel. Thought the characters were well defined and the dialogue was great.
This is a good series and this book moved our MC further along his rebuild goal faster. He finds new toys and weapons were made after his sleep that will help secure a better future for all.
Pretty decent read and continuation of the series. Spoiler: Giant plot hole that they have complete overwhelming firepower and still wind up fighting hand to hand and losing one of them like how does that even happen. Disappointing end to a solid read.
Starts pretty simple but improves as the story progresses. Still not too complex, just an enjoyable tale that I can listen to while doing mindless tasks.
Again, it’s short and pretty fun like the last one. But I have to just roll my eyes at the sex scenes. It’s like the author is a 15 year old boy. I just skip those parts.
