This writing style was just juvenile. While the writer attempted to add some angst, it was over within the next chapter. Really wanted to like this book, but felt I was forcing myself to finish it in the end.

The cover says it all 😪.

The book is written as if a 12-year old wrote it and everything is extremely rushed.

2.5 stars I wanted to like this book. The medical parts were spot on and if I had stopped reading at 75%, I would have happily given it a 3.5 stars.

Though set in New England, USA, Ms. Daniels seemed to confuse it England, Great Britain. The weather, the use of “Mummy”, and “frocks”, the lack of Thanksgiving being mentioned at November. All things that don’t really matter but also do. A named hospital in FL that is (in reality) nowhere near a beach. A gala and presentation put together within a week’s time? Never happens, or at least rarely happens.

It all added up to a plot that was so weak it made my head hurt. It made my heart hurt too since there was so much potential there but the author seemed it phone it in.

Mundane and Predictable Tripe

Not sure why I even had the book. Si nice it was on my kindle I figured why not. Poor writing that was pedestrian, predictable, and even worse cries out for editing. Lines like .. “Alicia laid her purse on the table it had been hanging on her right shoulder” ... simple ... Alicia laid her person on the table. The rest was inane. Writing like this permeated the story...at least the part I read. Eventually skipped ahead and sadly the ending was so predictable it made skipping ahead the right call. It was a waste of time. Most tenth graders could write better story first week of English class.

An amazing well written sweet clean romance.  Its full of loss, fears, insecurities, lots of drama, instant connection, secrets, sadness, and love. I really enjoyed reading how these two driven doctors learn to trust each other releasing their insecurities and learn to trust after a not so good meeting and neither looking for love. The characters are strong, likeable and well developed as you laugh thru their miscommunications and circumstances that keep bringing them together and watch love grow as they get to a great HEA. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC.

Dobi Daniels has the background knowledge to make a medical series believable & has a wonderful ability to make them personable. The plot caught me quickly & kept my attention throughout the rest of the story.
First impressions didn't give Alecia an accurate view of who Blake really was. Then after they got to know each other, they still fell into the trap of judging the person by outward signs instead of giving them a chance to explain what they thought they saw.
Bottom line: this was a wonderful story which is a part of a very interesting series which left me wishing there were more.

A Needed Read!!

In a time where discourse is rampant, this book is such a breath of fresh air!! The characters go through the classic plot of misunderstanding, attraction, noticing of differences and Love conquers all, but the setting makes this book extra special. The medical community is already prestigious, but to find love within this intellectual hierarchy was nice to see. Someone is always ready to accept you and any baggage you may carry, just keep yourself open.

I love a good, clean billionaire romance. Ms. Daniels has succeeded in delivering a love story between Alicia and Blake, both doing their residency at the same hospital. There is an unexpected twist that threw me totally for a loop, but it only added to the story. I enjoy Ms. Daniels' writing and look forward to reading more of her work in the future.

Good story

A story that shows how errors can be turned around & become something good. The girl is in medical training & guardian of her niece. She felt betrayed when she was maneuvered out of the presentation that could win the dollars she needed for her niece's medical treatment. Yet a prayer was answered & another chances.

Wow!!!! This is such an amazing love story that I had to read it all without putting it down. It tells the stories of two people full of loss and not looking for a relationship and whose first meeting was not a good one.
However circumstances keep bringing them together and feelings change.

A very interesting story of the trials a young child with cystic fibrosis experiences and the costly treatment regimes the families experience. Two young residents find love makes life's challenges easier.

I enjoyed reading this book. Working in the medical field myself, I enjoyed that it had accurate medical terminology but not so much that the layperson would be lost or uninterested. Great balance!!

I received a free/reduced price copy of this book with no obligation to post a review

Well written story of two people who are not looking for love but are drawn together. Very sweet romance. Some medical terms over whelming but then again they are in real life also. Don't miss this.

I love this series.

I really enjoy this series of stories. I've always been a fan of medical romances. I especially enjoy them when the medical information is accurate. This is a sweet, clean romance.

Book Review.

The story and characters have depth. The author does not drag out the chemistry between the leads. It's a tender, meaningful, sweet and well written book.

Feel Good Short Read

This was a short, somewhat jumpy at times (it felt like it was rushed), feel good romance with what felt like religious undertones (just slight)

This is not a steamy book, more like cutesy romance with a kiss. Characters were kinda surface level and the romance wasn't developed. The concept was good and done before (I just read a book with the same plot twist), the execution however wasn't stellar. Another thing that bothered me was that the main female character is a hypocrite (getting mad at the MMC saying "You hurt me, Blake. You should have come to me first instead of assuming.”, when she did the same thing at the beginning of the book. and most of their issues could have been solved by simple communication. Not the worst read, not the best. He falls first.

The plot sounded interesting the execution was not. There were too many inconsistencies:
- the heroine loves her niece/daughter, but hardly spends any time with her; I would expect her to spend every free minute with her beloved child especially since she is seriously ill.
- the hero organizes a concert with the famous Boston Symphony Orchestra within a day, hardly believable that they are available on short notice to play at buyer's option and that the Concert Hall ist available as well.
- organizing a benefit event within a week
-his parents not present at said charity gala
- walking around in shorts in November
-......
The book read like a teenager's fantasy.

Clean romance. Not my favourite.

– Dual pov
– Assuming both celibate
– Both residents at same hospital
– No cheating or OW/OM drama (although the H has a friend that was in love with his dead twin and from his pov she's happy for him but from h's pov she seems like she's causing trouble)
– HEA ending

Leuk einde!

Being a former physician, Ms Daniels uses her medical experience to expertly use medical terminologies and conditions in the context of the story.

This is the usual enemies to lovers story. However, it also shows how much a person can sacrifice for others. Alicia has a lot of responsibilities as a medical doctor and a guardian to her niece. But she wasn’t ready to meet Blake who would help her in sharing burdens.

However, there are some unnecessary parts such as Alicia seeing Blake with another woman, being jealous and coming to conclusion without talking to Blake. Then later, Blake seeing Alicia with his friend and assuming they are together. It seems childish for both of them to behave similarly, without talking to each other.

Then there’s the twist about Alicia’s niece which is surprising and was well taken by Blake. It also seemed too easy for Blake’s family in accepting Alicia without any question.

But overall, it’s more about family and love, and that’s what I like about it.

Usually when I get a box set from one author I don't read all of them at once, it has the tendency to get old. However I didn't find that with this set. Each story has unique characters with a whole different set of troubles, issues, work arounds and stolen hearts. Yes it's clean and sweet but it's also all around good reading. I love that by the end of the set you feel a kinship with each of the couples. There isn’t any preaching but these couples do not deny their belief in God. I really enjoyed each one.

Her Billionaire Internist – He had been burned by a woman and it ended tragically. She had been hurt and had to make some life altering decisions at a young age. Neither wanted love so when it hit neither was prepared. Life has more in store for them than they ever imagined and it time to explore it together.

Medical love drama

I am not familiar with medical terms at all, nor am I used to watching medical shows or reading medical fiction books. So from a complete layman’s viewpoint I was a little lost during all the patient analysis discussions and presentation prep. That being said it really seemed like the author knew what they were talking about. There also weren’t any ‘medical miracles’ happening so the story was more believable.
The romance part of the book was fun and interesting. I loved the meet-cute! It was really funny. The little girl was cute but I would have liked to see more of her in the story. Overall I give the book 3-1/2 stars because I learned that medical stories makes my mind wander when it gets technical. Other than that, the story was entertaining.
