The Scientist and The Seal, how much their lives entwined so quickly. Riya Patel is not only lovely but brilliant, one of the Echelons foremost Scientists. Lt. Grey Tyler, Navy Seal with the Black Dawn Team. When these two get together, the fires definitely burn, but can their passions keep them together or will it pull them apart? Riya knows technically what Grey does, but when he is on his mission she literally falls to pieces until he is back. Grey cannot wait to see Riya again, as soon as he debriefs he needs to be with her. But what happens when this Alpha male finds out that Riya will be asset number one on his next mission, a deadly mission for all involved. Riya stands her ground, no matter how scary the mission is, she is the only one knowledgeable enough to get it done right and quickly. But what happens when her life becomes endangered and she puts others first?
An incredible story with both passion and intrigue, with incredible characters that pull you into the story and won’t let go. Awesome Read, fantastic journey from beginning to end!

I absolutely loved, loved Gray and Rita. She was so unique. The no-nonsense, truth that always came out of her mouth was refreshing. Her and Gray had that instant spark and didn't fight it. Like all of Ms. O'Leary's stories, there was a lot of action, a lot of love, hot sex and plenty family. This series just gets better and better.

Gray was a top leader of the SEAL Team. One they called on for the most dangerous and secret missions. A leader respected and liked by his team. Most of the team had settled with wives and were making families. Gray didn't want to leave anyone to worry about him on missions. That was before he met Ryia. She was tiny compared to him. She was a brilliant scientist but shy in new situations. And she was hot. He wanted her. Now to go about getting her.

Oh man, that guy was so darn gorgeous. She just went into silent-bubble mode when she met him. He had this voice that just added to the whole alpha thing. While she wasn't very experienced this was one time she was going to try to change that.

I loved each of their characters. The rest of the team is great as well and their women strong and independent. As they got to know each other, her little quirks endeared her to him as much as she turned him on. Tagging along on their journey into love was fun, hot, and dangerous. Poor Gray. He is super protective of her in normal situations. When she is called on the do the impossible--dangerously impossible--for her country Gray is adamant she won't go. But he doesn't get to make her decisions. There are even more surprises in store for this mission you won't want to miss.

You won't be able to keep from falling for these two. You'll root for them, worry about them, and cheer for things to work out. If you've read the previous books in the series you get to visit with old friends. If you haven't read them, it won't matter as each book stands alone. You might just want to check up on some of the other team members and their ladies once you meet them: just a warning.

Captivating Military Romance💚💙
Loved the way this started out, Gray and Riya's instant attraction. Gray being all gentlemanly, not nice mind you, lol, taking it slowly with Riya, really getting to know each other. Just sigh worthy chivalry, which seemed much like foreplay, with a slow buildup to some off the charts lovemaking. I thought for a second, wow, this read may be a bit more mellow, I was wrong!!
Gray just knew he loved her, didn't realize exactly how brilliant Riya truly was, until they get put on a mission together, a big ol red flag for him to risk a civilian's, let alone, HIS woman's life. Then it was all action, tears and tenseness trying to save lives, ergo, risking your own in said process.
Their journey was awesome, woven with realities to captivate your heart. The characters are each kicka$$ heroes, their own specialties to bring to the table, with humbling human elements to make it a page turner all the way to that much desired & needed (by me anyway) HEA.
Can stand alone, but oh, so much better to get to know ALL the Seals and their incredible partners.

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

A sweet, enticing, exciting romantic suspense that left my heart melted and my heart racing!

I adore Caitlyn O'Leary's SEAL heroes. They are all alpha, protective, caring, handsome and they just win me over every time. And Gray was no different. He made me smile and sigh from the get go. Charming, sweet, and ULTRA caring and protective, he enchanted and delighted me with the incredible way he wooed Riya. Now Riya, she was a helluva heroine too! SUPER intelligent, beautiful and with a personality that I liked, it was impossible to not like her. I liked how sweet and slow building this romance was. It was soft and gentle but the love was fierce and loyal. There was also juuuuuuust the right amount of suspense and action to keep the blood racing in my veins and to keep things interesting. Miss O'Leary did a fantastic job and I am looking forward to whatever book comes next!

Her Captivated Hero gets a PERFECTLY ENTICING FOUR SHOOTING STARS!

Omg where do I begin with this book. It was absolutely Wonderful And Amazing and boy did it keep you on your feet and have you on the edge of your seat. Riya is a scientist and works for the government but when she is out with the girls for night Grey and the other team are sitting back watching them and things go wrong and he ends up sitting and talking to Riya and finds himself wanting to get to know her a whole lot more. He knows he has to take it slow and not scare her away, but Riya finds herself truly wanting Grey more and more but when the government needs Riya's help with a mission that could cost her life but Grey is scared of the what ifs that can happen .
I have to say this is absolutely my favorite book by Caitlyn because it really sucks you in from page one and it keeps you hooked with Grey and Riya attraction for each other and I needed tissues towards the end of it. I'm just so blown away from it. Kuddles to another Amazing Book And Just Loved It.

Caitly O'Leary has done it again. Gray and Riya's story is hot, sweet, intense and instant. I love how Riya is a no nonsense woman and how Gray just wants to go slow and get to know her better. But there are bad things going on and Riya being a top notch scientist, her services are needed. When the bad guys close in, will Gray be able to safe her? Action packed, this story will keep you turning the pages and then make you want to go back and read it again!!!

When Gray meets Riya at a bachelorette party that he is helping to guard, he is immediately attracted to her. Riya has always felt separated from people. It takes her long while to be able to mix with crowds, but when she sees Gray coming towards them, she definitely knows what she wants. When Riya’s scientific experience puts her in danger, Gray is devastated. This is a fast paced story that keeps you turning pages to find out what comes next. I adored Einstein the cat!

I've always enjoyed the books Ms O'Leary writes and this was no exception. Theres plenty of romance and action, the books pretty long as i just dived into it, and when I thought it was going to be rounding off, bam the joint mission starts... Boy i was a happy reader to know that i could still enjoy being with this couple. There was a great balance in the romance and action / story arc for me, which is great as I've found that as the years have progressed I'm becoming a reader that requires more than lots of sexy times in my reading material. So I know that I will be back for another team members story 😊📖❤️

This is book 6 in the Black Dawn series and I would absolutely recommend that you read the previous book before reading this one so you understand the character connections as well as the backgrounds of the team. This one is about Gray Tyler and Riya Patel. Gray and Riya meet at a bachelorette party for one of his team mates women. He can't help but notice her and be completely captivated from the start. Riya is a not only a beautiful woman but a brilliant scientist who has a hard time turning her brain off. But from the moment she meets Gray, she wants to spend as much time with him as possible. And to learn everything about him she can. But when her expertise is needed to help fight a deadly virus Gray has to learn to stand back and let his woman do what she feels is right while still trying to keep her safe and out of harm's way.

I absolutely loved this book!! Gray is such a sweet and lovable man with the protective tendencies you would expect from an alpha male, but he is also hot as all get out! From start to finish I had a hard time putting this book down! Gray swept me up from the start and Riya just made everything even better. She is definitely one of those smart people that you (or just me LOL) have a hard time following but they are so nice that you can't help but like them. Especially with some of the things she does. I don't want to give it away but just remember babysitting! I hard core laughed at that point. She is also someone who believes in helping people who need it and helping her country, regardless of what that may mean for herself. They are absolutely perfect for each other and I loved every minute of it!! This book just reminded me of why I love this series so much!

Gray falls hard and fast for the quirky scientist!

Gray meets Riya and he's immediately captivated by her beauty and her fearless - and effective - defense of her friends. Their whirlwind romance is fueled by their matching intellects, and I have to say, it was beyond refreshing to see how these two demonstrated that smart equals sexy every time.

Their relationship is barely off the ground, however, before Riya's unique expertise is required to counteract a DNA-specific bio-weapon and Gray's team is also assigned to the same mission. Gray's default caveman/protector setting doesn't win him any points with Riya, but she doesn't let it get in her way as she determinedly accepts the risks involved because she knows she can make a difference.

The mission is filled with edge-of-your-seat action, sprinkled with humor and heart as Riya learns to work with Gray and his dedicated SEAL team. I loved the way the other men - all married now - try to help Gray navigate these new feelings and find the right balance with Riya. Gray is a brilliant leader, yet still a hard-headed alpha when the woman he loves is threatened. He was a perfect hero for this story, and Riya is probably the most heroic female main character I've read about in a very long time. This is an excellent addition to the Black Dawn series, and I highly recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

What a heart stopping read. I couldn't put this book down.

Lieutenant Gray Tyler has watched while others in his unit have met and fallen in love. He didn't think that would ever be him. However one night out with the guys changes all of this for him. He meets a woman that interests him like no other. One of many reasons he likes Riya is that she is also working in a highly classified type of job so she gets it when he is unable to tell her about his missions.

I loved reading the first part of the book where they are falling in love. The special moments these two share and the getting to know you stage. I loved when Riya meets Gray's friends for the first time and we see the protectiveness that Grey has that makes him realize just how deep he is with this woman.

The second part of the book is where the action takes place, Riya is tasked to work with Grey's unit to stop a terrible act from happening and it tests Grey like no other. The action was intense, the conversations had you on your seat, it was a wild ride!!

One other aspect of this book that I really liked was there were times that Gray was going off the deep end in terms of his caveman like tendencies. I absolutely adored when his teammates stepped in to help Riya out when Gray was loosing his cool and needed time to pull himself together. I loved that he was there for Gray but he was also there for Gray's woman when Gray was being overbearing.

I highly recommend this book!

Black Dawn are back with a flash bang!

Gray is charming, with an easy smile and a way that puts all those around him, especially females of all ages, at ease. When he meets the scarily smart, sweet and supremely klutzy Riya prior to a team wedding, he never expected her to make such an impact on him or his heart.

Riya can quite facts, figures and all manner of science, all day every day. But grasping the nuances of social interactions? That's flummoxing to her. She loves her small, tight knit group of friends from the research labs where she works. They have stopped making her feel such a pariah, always on the outside and looking in. Gray was an entanglement she really did not see coming. But now that she has him she doesn't want to lose him. Thankfully he feels the same but a certain despot in the Middle East apparently didn't get the memo!

It would have been oh so easy to go down the old Asian super-brain, closeted female route but Riya is anything but typical. Her family adore her, even when they don't fully understand her mind. She also breaks the Autism stigma too. As the auntie of 5 kids, all on the spectrum somewhere, I really loved how well her characters idiosyncrasies where handled.

This was quite a slow burner in the smexiness stakes but oh my, once it got going! Riya is a kick-ass Brainiac heroine who wears her heart as well as her nerd card on her sleeve! Brilliant couple!

Her Captivated Hero by Caitlyn O'Leary grabs your attention and doesn't let go. Navy SEAL Gray Tyler is head of his Black Ops Team Black Dawn. He meets Riya Patel at a bridal shower for the intended bride of one of his teammates, (after she tasers a handsy guy for not backing off when asked!), he demands the taser, and is immediately drawn to her fiestyness. Riya is this tiny, beautiful, brilliant dark haired beauty that knocks Gray for a loop! She's a scientist with two degrees in molecular science, and chemistry. She works with a group that often does government assignments. Gray is very protective, and as Gray and Ryia become closer, Ryia is revealed to be a little quirky. She's very methodical, and does not always pick up on social signals. Gray learns that she has high functioning Asperger's, and while little mundane things might trip her up, she has a brilliant mind. This makes no difference to Gray, as he has fallen head over heels in love with her.
A deadly toxic virus is produced for specific targets, and Ryia, with her expertise, is brought in by the Government to find an antidote. Gray is furious and afraid for Ryia being put in danger. Gray's team is sent with Ryia to provide backup and protection. But she alone can work to develop the antidote. On the mission, anything that can go wrong, does! This is another one Caitlyn's Alpha heroes, and the strong beautiful women they love. Don't miss her Captivated Hero!

“One of the best stories I have read this year!”

Her Captivated Hero takes the reader on a roller-coaster ride of emotions; gut-wrenching tragedy, heart-warming innocence, and the reality of human imperfection have been outlined in this extraordinary story that conveys the grit and resilience of the exceptional people that grace the pages of each and every Caitlyn O’Leary book.

Her Captivated Hero simply has everything; action, suspense, sassy dialogue, fun and heartbreak; could any reader really ask for more? And then there’s Ms O’Leary’s innate ability to bring sensitive medical conditions to the forefront and ensure that readers have a better understanding of the misconceptions that plague people with differences, even when they don’t deter from their ability to function in everyday life.

I was in awe of Riya and her brilliance. A genuine young woman who was honestly confused that the public knowledge of her affliction would cause such anger in the man she loves. But remembering that all Ms O’Leary’s heroes are alpha protectors makes Gray’s need to shield his woman plausible. This story will pull at the heartstrings, make you cry, and have you holding your breath waiting for the final outcome.

Thank you Ms O’Leary for a brilliant book that I couldn’t put down till the last page was turned.

Fantastic!

This book is sooo good! I absolutely love Riya and Gray is the perfect match for her!

This story is exciting and intense. I love Riya’s quirkiness and her subdued sense of humor that comes out when you least expect it. I also love her OCD tendencies, especially with the wrapping paper.

Riya is a sweet but highly intelligent young lady that keeps Gray on his toes with her intense logic and loveable genuineness. I never expected Biochemistry: 101 to be so exciting and interesting. I love Gray’s powerful personality that is just as intense as it is commanding in all things. He is totally captivated and intrigued in everything that is Riya with her sweetness and unique abilities.

Gray gets all gooey when he is around Riya and is completely focused on her at all times. Gray’s larger-than-life effect on Riya tends to cause her to zone out on her surroundings when she is thinking of him, which is often. The fantastic cast of characters in this story are all supportive and accepting of Gray’s surrender to the heartfelt and intense relationship growing between he and Riya, even Einstein. I love Einstein, he is the epitome of arrogance with a touch of playfulness.

A story full of high-end action, with twists and turns that keep you reading and chemistry that is hot and wild, you don’t want to miss this amazing story!

Excellent job! I loved it!

ONE HEART STOPPING READ!!!
Wow! Talk about spinning. This is such a thrilling rollercoaster ride with a plethora of emotions to sort through as you follow along to see what happens next. You're not going to believe how this installment plays out. All the twists and turns, ups and downs, ins and outs, along with a few unexpected circumstances that brings this little gem roaring to life brilliantly. This is one action packed, hard hitting, fast paced, nailbiting, spine tingling, heart pounding, pulse racing, page turning, explosive tales that captures your attention from start to finish. Caitlyn throws caution to the wind. No holds barred, no pulling punches and take no prisoners attitude really pulls this bad boy together perfectly. No ifs, ands or buts about it. The drama, danger, fear, determination and suspense builds throughout while tension spirals as the story unfolds. The characters are written with such realism it really pulls this bad boy together flawlessly. The scenes are so vividly detailed it's easy to picture each scenario as they play off one another in perfect balance. This is one series you will not want to miss. You might as well grab the entire series because you will not stop until you read it in its entirety. Fantastic job Caitlyn, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.

This is the 6th book in the series. Book 5 was in another smaller series, but if you get the book, it adds in about another 1/3rd of a story which is good.

The heroine is a scientist which we’ve met a tiny bit before in some of the books. She knows what she’s doing when it comes to science, but when it comes to relationships, with anyone, she’s not that smart. However, she has people around her who have accepted her and support her including our hero who has started to date her. However, a mission throws them together…or will it?

Our hero knows who he is and who he cares for. When, after a few dates, his relationship with the heroine turns serious and he knows she can handle his job which is huge for him. However, she’s brought in by the higher ups, he cannot talk anyone into leaving the heroine behind where she’s safe and it kills him.

The plot is great with the way they described the heroine with her abilities and skills as many people don’t realize how “normal” people like her can be in some areas but not so much in others. Anyhow, when she’s brought in as a professional and has to team up with the hero and his teammate SEALs, she knows she can and will do this, they just have to keep her safe from harm.

This is the 6th from this series, and you do not see some of the twists that happen which is great.

This book opens with a bit of a bang, as Gray, Dex and Griff intercept a drunk guy with a gun and prevent him from actually shooting anyone. From there things get even more interesting as Dex's wife Kenna faces off with a guy on the dance floor and Riya stuns him. This is when Gray finally meets Riya, the woman he has been captivated by all evening.

A dance, a drink away from the party, and a kiss that ends up with an invitation to be her date for the wedding.

From the wedding, these two take it slow, getting to know each other and dating.

Riya gets to know the wives a bit more at a barbeque and that helps a bit when the guys are called up. As does her being called to DC to consult on a viral compound.
Her and Gray's interactions with Einstein are some typical cat moves and had me giggling.

I loved the teasing the team gives Gray before the first mission. But there is an even bigger mission to come. That's the one that will make or break Riya and Gray's relationship, since she's the one with the knowledge and expertise to create an antidote if needed.

Sweet, romantic, emotional, scary, and plenty of action and lots of sizzle will have you turning the pages until the book is done.

I loved this story by Caitlyn O'Leary. Gray has been a staple throughout this series so I loved that Ms. O'Leary decided it was his turn. And she gave him a perfect mate in Riya. Riya was quirky but so cute with it. She isn't used to being around people in social settings but with Gray and his friends she need not worry. I love that they appreciated her quirks and all. I love that they did not think any differently about her intelligence or foibles. I love that they respected the heck out of her. And when Gray fell down, his friends called him on it and protected Riya as best they could. I love that Riya forced Gray to be truthful just by being herself. The romance between Gray and Riya was so sweet. You could tell that Riya meant something to Gray from the get go. I loved that Gray made sure she knew that even if she didn't quite know how to process it. This action was intense and well written. I adored seeing these men in action and loved the care they took and the emotional toll it took on them. They did not hide it either which I adored seeing in these strong men. This story is an emotional roller coaster. I think it has become one of my favorites in this series and is sure to be read time and time again.

Totally Captivating Adventure & Romance!!

Gray is leader of the SEALs in the Black Dawn team. Riya Patel has multiple doctorates and specializes in arenavirus molecular and cell biology. When these two connect at a bachelorette party sparks fly (perhaps that was a stun gun). Riya is super intelligent, and had a sheltered/structured upbringing. Gray is more than clever enough to “keep up” and gentleman and charismatic enough to woo her with just the right mix of passion and care.

A notable humor point, and recurring theme is her introduction to The Princess Bride movie.

When a new virus is discovered that “targets” its victims specifically, both are sent on the same mission. When the stakes are so high can these two survive to continue their romance?

Splendid writing, amazing character depths, a tantalizing relationship and the inherent danger of both their jobs combine to create a stellar read!! I highly recommend all the Black Dawn stories!!

Gray is really an alpha male, worrying about everything for his partner. Riya is a spitfire, a double Doctorate in biochemistry and something just as brainy. They fit each other perfectly, even though they see the world differently.

When they first meet, sparks fly and Gray wants to get to know Riya. He dates her, and has meaningful discussions, not just get into the sack for him, she means a lot to him. He is very considerate, thoughtful, respectful, a born protector. There is the suspense that you come to expect from Ms. O'Leary, definitely a page turner, and wonderful to have all the other characters in this book as well. I loved the chapter where Miranda and Gray had about something she said to one of her friends, this is when Gray realizes what his true feelings are. When the chapters start in this book, I noticed that the tension is right there in your face, there is no build up from the previous chapter, and it's awesome.

Any book by Ms. O'Leary is a definite one click for me. I love her books and can't wait for the next one.

Her Captivated Hero

OMG! What an intriguing story! This is about Gray and Riya. Rita is a genius in her own right and Gray is smitten with her from the gitgo. The story is about how they come together - Riya used a stun gun on a guy at a bar and Gray takes the gun from her. Then - as they say - the rest is history. I love how Caitlyn found a way to get a known diagnosis written in to this story. When a deadly toxin is released in a foreign country, Riya feels it is her duty to find the cure and Gray is beside himself when she is part of his mission. At the end, she is subjected to the toxin and Gray is devastated. This part brought a few years to my eyes. I am so happy that Riya pulled through from the deadly toxin. The ending is sweet and funny. Gray didn't even get to propose before she said yes. I am so happy these two found their happily ever after! FANTASTIC job Caitlyn! I would highly recommend this book.

If you start this book at bedtime, you likely won't get much sleep because it is hard to put it down. I am a big Caitlyn O 'Leary fan - I have read most of her books and own many of them since they fall in my re-read group. This is another great read and as expected both male and female leads are strong, independent and genuine heroes. The book was fast paced and the last few chapters had my heart pounding and I was turning the pages as fast as I could read the words. I am no expert, but I thought the portrayal of Asperger's was handled very well and it added an unexpected element to the story. I definitely recommend this book as well as the others in this series and the related Midnight Delta series. As with all her books, you may enjoy the book more if you have read the others in the series, but they each work as stand -alone stories. I got this book as an ARC for a voluntary honest review.

I love Caitlyn O'Leary books and wait for each with bated breath and I wasn't disappointed in this latest addition to the Black Dawn Seal Team.

This is Grey's story (yes we finally get the team leaders story) we have met him throughout this entire series and it was wonderful that he finally got his own story. He has found his mate in Riya yes she may not be perfect but who wants to give labels and didn't Grey react when his team did but she is brilliant it is only in social situations she struggles When she is needed in her role as a virologist and it puts her in danger Grey nearly has a melt down. I love how earlier he though his men needed new psych evaluation once they fell and love and then he went and started behaving in exactly the same way. This book had it all suspense drama and romance While it can be read as a stand alone do yourself a favour read the entire series in fact read all Caitlyn books you won't be disappointed

HER CAPTIVATED HERO Black Dawn Book 6 By Caitlyn O'Leary
This is such a good story! Gray Tyler is a Navy Seal Lieutenant, he and Dr. Riya Patel meet at the bachelorette party of one of her friends and the fiance of one of Gray's fellow seals. He is smitten right at 1st sight as is she. Riya is one of the top Doctors in the world and she is brought in confidentially to help the Seal Team to isolate a toxin. Gray is floored when the realization that Riya is going to work on this job. This story has suspense, intrigue, humor, and Gray and Riya have great chemistry. I definitely give this book 5 stars and look forward to the next installation!
Caitlyn O'Leary is renown for her tough, sexy military men who are protective, macho and totally smitten with the strong women heroines in their lives.
