While the story is predictable & kind of cheesy, it's still really enjoyable, as Lucy McConnell does it well. I read Ronnie's story months ago and it was one of my favorites, so it was extra fun watching big, tough Troy finally fall. The whole family connectedness and getting glimpses of previous Snow Valley couples gives it extra appeal! Two thumbs up!
Cute, clean and predictable...I just could have used a little more tension/stolen moments. 😕 I usually fly through McConnell’s Billionaire Marriage Broker books, but this one didn’t grab me enough to inhale it. But it was great for the week of Christmas. I read whenever I could squeeze in a few moments.
This story is cheesy. It feels like it was ripped from a smattering of Hallmark movies. And I couldn't stop reading it!
Chloe and Troy are both likable characters, and they have great chemistry. I also loved Chloe's interactions with Troy's family—Chloe's time with Troy's father is the one place where this book goes a little deeper.
One thing I need to mention: there are quite a few typos in this book, and those typos did pull me out of the story. For example, Troy is once called Tory (I can see how that happened) and once Travis. A few times, the wrong word was used, and, well ... just look at the cover. Not only does the woman on the cover look nothing like the Chloe of the book, but fiancé is used instead of fiancée ...
Bottom line: There's absolutely nothing original about His Wedding Date Fake Fiancée ... but it's still an enjoyable read when you're looking for something clean, sweet, and fluffy to take your mind off whatever is happening in reality. 3-1/2 stars.
This is truly a sweet romance (or two) of two people not looking for love but finding that perfect match! It's just that fairytale moment!
Troy is a conflicted big brother that is so collectible sister Ronnie. He is also has his best friend Grady that so close they are like brothers. However when your best friend falls in love with your sister it gets pretty complicated. He starting to feel he lost them both, they are so into each other the rest of the world falls away. Makes Troy ready to shut the door both partners can't be out of commission. They are meeting a new business partner Chloe and she is a mechanic and a business woman. Partner so off limits. His sister wedding and he needs to bring a date of his family will match make......A take date, no plus one, no a fiance is. You can imagine, chaos, banter, sass, flirting and some touching moments. A clean romance no violence, no sex only hand holding, touching, cuddles and wow kisses. It for those that need a story with intimacy but not steam. Clean but not as my kids would say, not over the top bible thumping. Religion for answered prayers but they fit (single not drowning).

His Wedding Date Fake Fiancée: A Return to Snow Valley Romance By Lucy McConnell 4 stars Reviewed on behalf of 3 Degrees of Fiction Book Blog
Ok, so this story may have been a little predictable and maybe a little on the cheesy side but I thoroughly enjoyed it! It’s the kind of easy to read romance story which I love immersing myself in. The storyline was consistent and it flowed really well. I haven’t read anything by this author previously but this story has definitely given me a taster of how engaging this author’s stories are so I would love to read more. I really liked Chloe; she was a nice, genuine character to read about. I can often tell when I start reading a book whether I am going to connect with a character and I felt that with Chloe straight away. I will admit I thought Troy was pretty hot from the very first moment I started reading about him and I could feel the simmering sexual tension between the two of them! This was a really sweet romance story with a wonderful HEA and I would absolutely recommend it!
4 star review of His Wedding Date Fake Fiance: A Return To Snow Valley Romance by Lucy McConnell Chloe Winston is attracted to her business partner Troy Martin, but he does not see the woman beneath the surface of the oil and grime. The last thing Chloe needs to do is fall for Troy, as this could spell disaster for their business partnership. However, when Troy is backed into a corner by his mother, Chloe steps forward to acts as his “fake”fiancee for his sister’s wedding. Troy is blown away by the beautiful Chloe and begins to see her in an entirely different light. Chloe is determined not to fall for Troy but she finds that spending the holidays with the Martin clan is hard to resist. When passion ignites will Troy and Chloe burst into flames or crash and burn? Although this story is a tad predictable, it did not detract from my enjoyment whilst reading. I enjoyed Lucy McConnell’s writing style and felt as though I was a part of the magic of the holiday season and Snow Valley.
His Wedding Date Fake Fiancée: A Return to Snow Valley Romance was a sweet read with a wonderful HEA it was one of those books that leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Troy and Chole are business partners and best friends so when Troy desperately needs a date for his sisters wedding Chole is the first person he thinks off after all they are friends it’s hardly stretching the imagination for his family to think their relationship could be more than just friends and business partners...... Mixing business with pleasure is not always the best policy and when friendships are involved could it be a recipe for disaster well I guess you need to read the book to find out how this couple handle family and fake relationships. A cute fun read with characters you can’t help loving and what can I say about the setting for this romance apart from I want to live in Snow Valley. I would recommend this book to lovers of sweet romance with lots of friendly witty banter.
A cute read with a wonderful HEA! Was a little slow to start but picked up a few chapters in.
This romance read centered around Troy and Chloe who are business partners. Troy needs a date to his sister’s wedding and ends up soliciting Chloe’s help, keeping his lie going to his family about having a girlfriend.
But real sparks fly between the two during their week long trip back to Troy’s home town. Both start catching feelings for one another and when the lie finally becomes too much to bare, it all comes crashing down in front of Troy’s entire family at his sister’s wedding.
Thankfully, these two love birds finally share their honest and true feelings with one another and their lie becomes the truth!

Chloe Winston is attracted to her business parter Troy Martin but Troy doesn’t feel the same way. Falling for Troy or having a relationship with him that isn’t just business would be disastrous to their business. But when Troy’s mother is getting on at him to settle down Chloe becomes his fake fiancée for his sisters wedding.
Troy starts seeing Chloe in a different light and things that she is beautiful, Chloe however is trying to resist her attraction but spending the holidays with his family makes him even harder to resist.
The story is slow at starting and takes a few chapters to get going and although the story was predictable it was still an enjoyable read. I enjoyed the authors writing style and it feels like your right in the magic of holiday season and snow valley.
When you go into business with your best friend, you hope that you will remain friends. When he becomes engaged to your sister, you wish them all the best and feel a little like an outsider. When your mother asks you who are you bringing to the wedding, you name the first person who pops into your head. That person happens to be your new business partner, sitting beside you. Biggest mistake or happy circumstance? Chloe Winston is so much more than Troy was looking for in a business relationship. She is beautiful. smart, and can handle a wrench. She didn`t expect to be attracted to Troy. When he asks her to pretend to be his hidden fiance, her sense of adventure plays well. We`ve seen this trope written many ways. This is one of the most delightful I have ever read. Romantic and fun.
Chloe is best friends and partners with Troy in the trucking business they own. She would like their relationship to become much more but he has never shown any interest in her and she doesn’t want to destroy their friendship and partnership.
Troy’s sister is getting married and he needs a fiancée to stop the pressure he is receiving from his mother and who better then his best friend. He starts to see her as a woman and not his business partner however things become complicated when the fake relationship is starting to feel all too real.
This is a sweet and romantic friends to lovers story that will warm your heart. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
A great, contemporary Christian fiction story. Troy needed a partner to help fund his expansion. Chloe was looking for the right opportunity to invest. Months later, he needs a date for his sister's wedding. Each other's comments, made from insecurities, prompted more insecurities. Yet, the teasing and flirting between the two was quite heartwarming. This title comes to a magnificent end.
When Troy and Chloe decided to fake a relationship to get his family off his back they didn't know what it would turn into. Heading to Troy's sisters wedding opened up feelings that Chloe and Troy didn't know they had after working together for the last 10 months.
This was a cute and fun story! I enjoyed it and thought the author did a great job with the storyline and keeping the story flowing. I would recommend this book.
This book took us back to Snow Valley, which I’m pretty sure is one of my favorite fictional locations. I love how she makes the family and friends real and the situations so real but not over the top filled with drama. I loved watching Troy’s opinion of marriage change, and how he realized that with the right person you could want all you never thought you needed.
I feel like this book is best described as being full of life. There were times my heart hurt for the MCs. Other times, I was laughing at their antics. And the connection between the two was strong, even though they fight it through much of the book. I can't stand pushy, marriage-happy moms, but other than that, I loved the story. If you enjoy sweet, clean romance with an underlying inspirational theme, then give this book a try.
I love fake relationship stories. Not sure that it is a great foundation for building a relationship for real but I still enjoy reading the trope. And I don't think that making out is a good basis for a relationship either. But, remember this story for what it is - fluff romance. It is feel good stuff. Very Hallmark-esque. Sweet, cute and predictable. If you like Hallmark romance then this will be enjoyable.
Sex: making out Language: no Violence: sibling wrestling
This plot of this fake fiancee story was fairly predictable but it was well-written. I enjoyed reading the love story of Chloe and Troy (brother to Ronnie whose story I read in another Snow Valley book). I've loved this series of Snow Valley books for their portrayal of tightly knit families and community. Add to it that this sweet romance book features some epic kisses and you've got a winner!
I really like this author, but the editing is still sometimes a struggle. Cute Christmas story though!! I definitely enjoyed the characters and the setting. I want to live in Snow Valley!
Content: Clean Language: Clean Religious: Not really. Talk of prayer and how prayer works...
His Wedding Date Fake Fiance All he wanted was for his mom to stop worrying about his bachelor status. She jumped from the idea of a girlfriend to a fiancee in record time. Chloe is the easiest choice. What fun it is to watch these two juggle acting engaged and real feelings. ❣️
I had a free copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Chloe Winston is a business partner with Troy Martin and agrees to attend his sister’s wedding as his fake finace. She’s been trying to avoid falling for him, and he has not been interested in dating, but things change with the trip to the wedding. A heartwarming Christmas story.
Sometimes you just should not walk past the moment of attraction. All the time they wasted. But a chance wedding do and a fake engagement can do wonders for a wonderful romance
Story was cute but the book had many misspellings and I think the writer forgot who she was writing about. The main character had 4 different names at one point. This book should be edited and rewritten.
A nice Christmas romance? Troy and Chloe decide to make believe they are engaged when he brings her to his sister's wedding. Chloe loves his family and hates lying to them. Will they be able to keep their lie. Cute read.
A mixture of While You Were Sleeping and Sweet Home Alabama
Lucy McConnell has characters that seem to leap of the page. The families are real and warm. I loved the final chapter as it reminded me a bit of Sweet Home Alabama. Returning to Snow Valley was a huge plus.
Excellent book that will keep you entertained from beginning to end. There is so much going on you barely take a breath. Delightful sweet clean romance.
