I loved Chase and Harper's story more than I expected! Chase was a great protective wolf, and Harper wasn't afraid to fight for her mate as well. Their story contained plenty of instalove, but that's why I love this genre ♡
On a night on his pack lands Chase finds a man almost death, attacked by something. He brings him to the hospital and the next day he meets the daughter of this man, his mate although she is a human.
The story which follows involves funny, hot and action moments. Harper and Chase are mates, but have to fight the evil fairy. Throw in an alpha father who wants to control Chase and a farm on Harper her site and you have a great read.
Verified ARC Reader Sweet with some mystery and action
Just the right length for a quick evening read this shifter romance is fun and quirky Bushes rustling can be bad or good depending on who you are and if you have either apples or steel with you . This is a great short read that peaks your interest from the first. Everyone loves a wolf shifter, and a bit of fae magic and the story explodes, not literally, but my imagination took off. The suspense was just enough to keep the pages turning and the romance sweet and spicy. I couldn't really estimate age of characters but once you were in the story didn't really matter because the characters really are great.

I loved watching the story unfold between Chase and Harper. Chase, of course, knew who Harper was to him but it was Harper that really made the story interesting as she knew nothing about shifters. She also couldn't figure out why she trusted him as she did. Such a good story!
I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
Wow! How do you get rid of a Fairy circle? Also what comes out of one? Good story and exciting too. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.

Life these days is often hectic and fast paced, and many of us don’t always have enough time to sit down with a good book. Which is why the idea behind Midnight Wish, the first story in The Protectors Quick Bites by Keira Blackwood and Eva Knight is a fascinating concept… one that, frankly, I’m surprised we haven’t seen more of. One story taken down to its basics yet not loosing one bit of the excitement, the danger, the sexy times and definitely that fated mate feeling that any Shifter Romance reader needs in their life. I like it – and I’m curious to see where these talented authors take this series in the coming months.
Because it is a short story… this review has to be equally short for I try to not give away spoilers. Chase happened to be in the right place at the exact moment he needed to be there to give aid to a man who would turn out to be his mate’s father. Even if Harper wasn’t completely impressed with his actions upon their first meeting. And so begins a story that brings a new to me villain to the forefront, one adorable and brave boar, and two people who are what the other needs, even if they have to get through a few rough spots at first.
Midnight Wish is fast paced, an intriguing mystery and a very sexy Shifter Romance. I had a blast with this first “quick bite” and I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for more. If you love Shifters then I’d highly recommend checking this series out — I think you’ll find another series to follow, just like I did.

Chase didn't want to get the work his father had gotten him, but he knew he had to do it, for his clan. But, when he found his neighbor hurt in the forest, he took him to the hospital. He had to save his life, although he disappointed (again) his father. And there he met his mate, Harper. He wanted to knew her, to spend their lives together.
Harper was rude to Chase when they met, but she felt bad afterwards. He was a nice man who had helped her father. She discovered he was a shifter when she found him hurt in the forest, attacked by a monster, and he changed in front of her. She took him home, cured him (although he didn't need her help, only time to recover) and they spent the night together.
They worked together in the farm and he took her home to search 'their' monster on their library. They found the monster, but Chase decided, with his father, that Harper shouldn't be near the monster. They argued. She was furious with him, but she understood why he didn't want her there. He wanted to protect her, and she wanted to protect him. So, when she found important information, she went to him, and together they defeated the monsters.
I loved Chase and Harper, before they met and when they were together. I loved their family.
I loved that Harper didn't let Chase's father intimidate her.
I thought I knew who was the 'villain', but I was mistaken and I liked it.
I recommend it.
I received a complimentary ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.
Chase Lennox is a wolf shifter. The only son of the alpha, he chafes under his fathers demands and expectations. He escapes to the edge of pack land and finds his rancher neighbor, seriously injured. Harper and her father are just holding their family ranch together. Market changes and her mother's illness and death, forced them to let all the hands go. They are just hanging on. Then her father is injured. She is drawn to the "all American boy" who saved him. Chase suspects Harper is his mate. A fight with his father has him heading once again to the edge of her property. He encounters something other worldly that almost takes his life. Harper arrives just in time to save him and learn his secret. Harper has just had her reality blown. She is a ranchers daughter and her gut says she can trust Chase. The rest of her is fighting to keep her hands off of him. Chase has other ideas that the rest of her likes. They team up to solve the mystery. A fun, fast paced, steamy, romance with a horror twist and a wild sow named Riblet who has Harper's back and wants Chases backside. A nice epilogue to wrap up their story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I really like the story and have added it to my wish list.
Chase reluctantly takes the long way home and finds the owner of the neighboring ranch badly injured. While out for a run Werewolf Chase is summoned back to the house to see the Tribunal he reluctantly returns but in a bout of defiance he takes to long way back. He follows the perimeter but just after he passes an ages tree he catches the scent of blood with some other nasty odor mixed in and decides to investigate. What he finds is a badly injures man who he recognizes as the owner of the ranch on the other side of the nearest boundary and with no phone he picks him up to carry him down to get help. Harper wonders where her father is until she gets a call from the local hospital informing her that her father has been brought in and that she should com to the hospital. Chase is sitting by the injured man when a woman walks in and looking up he knows she is meant to be his. A paranormal shifter romance to relax and enjoy.

As soon as wolf-shifter Chase sees neighbour Harper he knows she is his mate even though it is via tragic events. With her eyes that are as blue as the sky and determination in spades, her family's ranch might teeter on the brink of failure but she is still fighting to save everything and everyone that she holds dear. She sees the real Chase - not just a man nor a wolf but what lies beneath and yet still she doesn't run. Can they solve the mystery and have the future together that they deserve?
I enjoyed this novella-length book which had a dark supernatural mystery, a wolf shifter pack and fated mates who were able to work together to defeat the evil that was threatening them all. I loved the way that their relationship quickly morphed into a partnership when it became obvious that they had to work together in order to defeat the evil. Quick and easy to read with some sexual content.
A quick read with all the goodies of a full-length story. That's right. I enjoy having a short read around for those times I just want to read but don't have time to get involved in a full-length book. As usual, the authors have given us romance, intrigue, danger, and a page-turning story all in a short read.
He's a bit of a rebel as the alpha's son. She's strong and takes on way to much to try to keep the family farm going. When evil magic takes a foothold can they work together to save themselves and the farm? What will his father say when this pack's alpha sifter son shows up with a forbidden human female?
With her resentment for him, explaining the mate connection isn't going to be easy. First, they have to stay alive.
One day, Chase, a wolf-shifter comes across his severely injured neighbor on packland. The injuries are strange, but to save the man he has to take him to hospital. He recognizes the neighbor's daughter, Harper, as his mate and when he dreams about her on his way home he is attacked by a strange creature. Harper hears the fight and comes to the rescue. Together they try to figure out what the creature is and how to fight it. A love story with a twist into a surreal paranormal activity, a fight to protect man and wolf equally. Well-written and entertaining, with the right mix of romance and thrill. A good short story for a few quiet hours. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout an am voluntarily leaving a review.
Chase doesn't want to meet with the Tribunal, all he wants to do is be in nature and not bound by rules, rules he has to follow as son of the Alpha.
On one of those runs, he finds his human neighbor bleeding and rushes him to the hospital, where he comes face to face with his feisty daughter, face to face with his fated mate.
Harper sees this hot as all get out sitting by her injured father and what does she do, she snaps at him instead of thanking him. But she'll thank him later, for sure she'll thank him later if she has anything to do with it. Ever heard of love at first sight?
First they have to get rid of those nasties attacking men in the woods.
This is a great fast paced story, lots of intrigue and mystery, great passion too.
This is a quick short shifter romance. Chase’s father is the alpha of their pack. He has plans for his son and it doesn’t matter how his son feels about it. While out trying to get some peace, Chase finds his neighbor has been attacked. He makes sure he gets help. When the neighbor’s daughter, Harper comes to the hospital to check on her father Chase sees her and knows she is his mate. There is something in the woods and they need to figure out what it is. This book was a great read. It has danger, romance, paranormal creatures, and more. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books in the series. Chase and Harper have a great story. Just because she is human doesn’t mean she can’t hold her own. Great job ladies.
Chase meets Harper while he is sitting in the hospital after saving her father. He knows she is his fated mate. Harper is drawn to him but doesn't understand why. She doesn't have time to dwell on the connection since she has to worry about keeping her family farm going. Chase has commitments with his pack that can't be ignored. As the story progress, there is steam, other worldly danger, love and family. I enjoyed reading about the unique danger to them, how they dealt with the circumstances around them and how they fell in love.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
We start out this story by meeting Chase. Who is he and where does he stand in the pack? Who is Ethan and why does he track down Chase? Who is Mitch Wainwright? Where is he found and by whom? What phonecall does Harper get? What happens when she meets Chase? Who is the woman in the read dress? Wow! I did not expect what I learned about the woman in the red dress. Who is Dylan? I so did NOT expect the ending that happened!

Another great story from Keira Blackwood she is a master of the shifter genre and this book is no exception
Chase is sitting beside the hospital bed of his severely injured neighbour after he found him and brought him to the hospital when the unexpected happens he meets his mate. Harper is his neighbours daughter and she has come to the hospital to be with him she can't understand the attraction she feels to Chase the man that saved her father. Now not only does Chase have to carry out his obligations to his clan he has to woo his mate and keep her safe from whatever is attacking people in their town
I love Keira Blackwood’s stories but this is my 1st read and review for Eva Knight and this is a fantastic quick read. Chase is the alpha’s son he’s a bit of a Rebel and one night he finds a man close to death and takes him to the hospital, the next day he meets the man’s daughter she is human and his mate and that will cause some trouble. Harper lives on a farm with her dad she’s a strong resilient woman who is trying everything she can to help her dad save the farm. A fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
First let me state, I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
This is a gr8 story. Chase finds his mate in his neighbors daughter, Harper, when he finds her father hurt when he’s out running. Problem is, is that Harper is human, thereby making her forbidden to him. He watches over her in wolf form, & he discovers an evil being. Now he has to save his pack, protect his mate, and find a way to claim her. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs Up.
I really enjoyed this shifter romance. It was well written and the story and characters were well developed. I liked the strong alphas personality and the individual relationship dynamics. The story had plenty of twists and turns as well as action, suspense, intrigue, emotion, hot chemistry and tomance. If you enjoy shifter romances then I’d highly recommend this book!! I look forward to future books in this series!!

Midnight Wish by Keira Blackwood is book 1 of her new series Protectors Quick Bites. This is a quick read with an amazing female heroine and the awesome alpha wolf shifter she falls in love with. Together they must find away to protect the humans and shifters alike from some evil fey. Once you start reading you won't be able to put it down. I received an ARC from the author. This is my voluntary honest review.
I liked how even though Chase knows Harper is his mate straight away he doesn't act on it and keeps his cool and Harper is one strong and determined woman. Unknown to both Chase and Harper someone or somethings have taken up residence in the surrounding forest so while they are getting to know each other the uninvited guests need to be dealt with. The story isn't rushed and feels well rounded so even though it is a quick read you don't feel like anything has been missed.
A shifter romance that won’t take long to read. The two main characters have been neighbors for years but never met. But when Chase finds his neighbor injured and saves his life when he rushes him to the hospital he will meet a young woman that will take his breath away. A sweet romance with an unknown danger that could destroy or kill them. And don’t forget about Riblet, a boar with some serious personality.
It was an interesting plot concept and I get it was meant to be a Short Story, but... a lot happened with very little context and then the monster came out of nowheresville to cause havoc. The blurb was VERY misleading and had little to do with what ACTUALLY happened in the book. Also the title takes more than a minute to make sense. If it’s to do with the monster then there should be an At Midnight rule for appearances or SOMETHING.
Good short story. I enjoyed reading this book. The story was really cool. Main character is a wolf shifter whose father is the alpha. When he meets his neighbor he right away realizes she's his mate. Even though she's human. They both have run-ins with a female sort of nasty creature. The creature is pretty cool, creepy, scary cool. I've never heard about something like this before and it was way cool. Enjoy!!
Very enjoyable and entertaining read. I liked see Chase and Harper relationship evolve. Also I like Harper feisty and no nonsense personality. Overall a good read and a great start for a new series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
