Zorban spent most of his adult life looking for his soul mate, just to have her ripped from his life the day he found her. After years of looking for someone else, he gave up and moved away, figuring exploring a new planet and meeting new people would bring back some of the joy he had lost that fatidic night, back. When he met Leah, at his best friend’s wedding celebration, his whole body reacted to her. He knew she wasn’t his soul mate, but she made him feel alive again and he wasn’t willing to let her walk out of his life without exploring the sizzling passion that burned between them. Leah had always been a loner. She had never been good around people and people didn’t seem to understand her. This and the fact she had lived almost all her life surrounded by the eternal ice heights of Alaska had won her the nickname of Ice Princess. When she started to sculpt on ice, she decided the moniker was quite appropriate. Living several miles away from the nearest town, away from people, she only went to town to deliver her ice sculptures. On one of those trips, she met Zorban, a very attractive man that shook the ground beneath her feet. Unable to explain her feelings towards a stranger, she tried to stay away from him. But destiny decided against it, and soon she found herself in Zorban’s arms, where their scorching passion melted away the ice around her heart.

🔷️On the Alien Planet of Thalia, King Hurick and Queen Mayala were waiting for Prince Zorban there son to find his Soul Mate. You see mated male can not sit the Thalian throne. It's been a decade since Prince Zorban left Thalin to make a life on Earth away from all the drama his Uncle Jharb made trying to steal the throne. Heading to a wedding in Anchorage, Alaska where his past and future would collide.
🔷️Leah has made a long journey to Anchorage to deliver an ice sculpture for a wedding and ended up helping the desperate bride. She always hid what came natural to her but before she knows it she is running into a man she couldn't deny.
An unusual alien adventure! I love the premise of this story! It’s different enough from the alien stories I usually read to draw my attention immediately. For some reason, the mating attraction seemed not to work so well on a different planet, causing a great deal of confusion for our H/h. I think Leah’s innate talents are fascinating, but would have liked to see how those abilities usually manifested in the average Thalian. The long-lived, evil enemy to the Royal family of Thalia must be vanquished before Zorban can safely return to his home planet. Will he succeed? I think you’ll enjoy this book as much as I did.
First book I read from the author. Nice romance. I loved it.
Zorban is the prince of his planet, heir to his father. He had to follow the traditions of his people to find his future mate, just like his ancestors did before him, although he didn't believe in such traditions. He was surprised when he met Leena, when he noticed the link between them. They were engaged that night. And that night, he lost her. She disappeared from his life. Zorban suspected that his uncle was behind this disappearance, but he couldn't prove it. With Leena gone, he felt incomplete. There's no chance he'll find another mate, although his mother forces him to try for years. But, tired, he couldn't bear it anymore, and he sought refuge on Earth. He had lost everything, he wouldn't share his life with anyone. Until he met Leah and everything changed.
All his life, Leah has suffered the bullying of the people of the village for being different. It used to hurt, but now she's used to it. If they want to call her 'Ice Princess', let them do it. She prefers to keep her distance from everyone, dedicating herself to her work as a sculptor. But that is not possible when one of her clients asks her to help her at her wedding so that everything is perfect. She doesn't want to do it, but she can't refuse to help her or attend the wedding. The bride and her friends treat her with affection, making her feel comfortable for the first time in her life. There, she meets Zorban, who refuses to leave her alone when she insists on returning home. He cares for her, when nobody has done it before.
I loved Zorban. He wanted to break the traditions of his people, he didn't want to meet his future wife following rules. But Leena called to him, and his heart broke when he lost her. He didn't expect to find someone from his planet on Earth, someone he felt comfortable with.
I loved Leah too. She feels the same way as him. Her whole life has felt that she lacked something. Nothing gave meaning to her life. And now, with Zorban, she feels that she has found it.
I loved them together. They cared for each other, they didn't want to hurt the other. But they did. Zorban left her because he wanted her to have everything he couldn't give her. He knew he was hurting her, but he thought it was the only way. And Leah couldn't tell him the truth about her, about what she could do, even after he told her he wasn't from Earth.
I recommend it.
I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.
Zorban is the next in line to be the leader of Thalia but he must find his soul mate in order to be king. When he finally meets his soul mate at the annual baby soul mate test, she kidnapped by his uncle. Fast forward 20 odd years.... Zorban meets Leah at his best friend and business partner's wedding. Leah was hired by the bride to create a ice sculpture and later decorate the chapel. As soon as we meet Leah we know she is his soul mate but Zorban never gets the feeling that Leah is his soul mate. He only knows that he likes her and feels drawn to her. Sadly, he does not feel her as his soul mate. The whole time I'm reading, I thinking when, when is he going to realize who Leah is to him. There I really wanted to slap Zorban side the head and call him an idiot. I couldn't stop reading the book because I couldn't understand how he could not know how she was to him. Leah did keep her ice working skills to herself but there were so many other aha moments. I did like how the author reminded us that Zorban didn't feel that Leah was his soul mate but he did feel something for her. It would calm me down from me yelling Come on, what is wrong with you! Really! I had to keep reading because I needed answers. While I was reading I was frustrated but afterwards when I digested everything I liked it. I give the book a 3.8. The story line was different from the usual. I had to keep reading because I needed answers. I also wanted to know when, when would he realized.
