The Fausti famiglia was one of the most infamous and powerful crime families in the world. Their rule spanned the thickness of history books—and I was one of them.
My dangerous lineage had been hidden until my wife, Scarlett, the curious farfalle that she was, started fluttering around, awakening the monsters of my past. They would stop at nothing to claim what they felt belonged to them. Using my wife as a pawn in their game to lure me in? Wasn’t going to happen. Because I was a monster just like them, and I’d sacrifice it all to keep the woman I called mine safe—even if it meant my life.
Book III in an eight-part Royal Organized Crime Romance saga.
** Previously released as The Beautiful Years III **
Born and raised in New Orleans, Annie has a habit of shortening her words and telling long stories. She speaks with a southern flair and cooks with it too. At the tender age of twenty- one, she hitched up her wagons (took her first plane ride) and moved out west to the big shake (California). Her passion for writing began one sleepless night when she imagined a gorgeous woman and a man with maniacal hair floating above her like lightning bugs falling from the sky. Curious about them, their story, and why they were floating around in her head, she sat down and penned (typed) her first novel, Marigny Street. A dream come true for her, she hasn’t stopped writing since. She loves a damn good love story, always has, no matter what the genre. She is particularly moved by imperfect love that in its own unique way is perfect, the notion of love at first sight, soul mates, and things that are generally out of the norm.
When she’s not writing she enjoys dabbling in photography and finding new, inspirational music to add to her collection. She currently resides in Texas (where everything really is bigger) with her husband, daughter, and their three peculiar dogs, Boudreaux, Tabasco, and Vanna Loo (who, call her crazy, bark with an accent).

First Impressions Royals of Italy is the third installment in the "Fausti Family" and after how the second book ended, I was very intrigued to see where this couple woulld go in this book as this book features their "Newlywed" stage of their relationship and I also knew that there would Fausti's introduced to this book and I was really curious to see how this would be developed and this book was just as rich and captivating as the previous two books and I fell even harder for this couple and what they face. This isn't your average mafia romance and I really love that. There is a style to how this series is being built that really pulls you in so quickly into the story. And I absolutely adored the setting of Italy that is so vividly descripted. I really respect an author that will do the research to set the right tone and setting for the story.
First Line We were already on the verge of darkness, the water choppy, and I knew from experience that visibility was going to be slim.
Summary In this installment of Brando and Scarlett, they are both adjusting to married life and trying to adapt with Brando being gone half the time working on the diving and rig jobs. Scarlett is trying to adjust to having her husband gone all the time, and is starting to get distant from Brando. Brando is at a loss as to what to do with the situation and wonders where her loyalties lay. And even though Scarlett, wants to be honest with Brando, she holds back from him. She is lonely and wanted to give something to Brando, but she ends up caught up in snares she has no comprehension of. When the truths are revealed, Brando and Scarlett will have to realize the value of trust in their relationship or the Fausti's will tear them apart. They are just starting to work their way through the weave of complexities that make up the powerful royals of Italy, and only together will they survive the onslaught...
What I Loved This story was utterly powerful and I couldn't get enough of it. I was so drawn into this one here. I do recommend the audio if you can get it, the narration really brings out the lyrical side of the writing super strongly and I wish the rest of the series was in audio but I am too impatient for that haha but I will say the first three books are in audio and recommend grabbing those if possible.
What is so beautiful about this story is seeing how this couple has some learning lessons and I hope they LEARN them and these mistakes aren't being repeated in future books. Even though I had some issues with the heroine in the first half of the book, thankfully, its not dragged out and gets resolved early on because there is some outer conflict that they will both have to face and its not going to be an easy road for either of them. First off, what I loved truly, was the setting. It was so captivatingly described for Italy that I wish I had a villa to live in for the summer because I could practically feel that warm sun on my skin. That is how well this author vividly writes her stories to captivate her readers.
The second half of the story was a whirlwind of intrigue and mystery and familial complexity. We get introduced to the Fausti family and they get involved with Brando and Scarlett. There is also family politics that we get to see and we are charmed by the head of the family. I absolutely adored him so much. The relationship that Scarlett and he formed was so endearing and heartfelt. The courage that we see both Brando and Scarlett brave in this book just is evidence of their love and what they are both willing to sacrifice for each other. I was so captivated by the later half of the story but we see their strength and what they are capable of as a team. And I want to see this teamwork throughout the rest of the series and really hope that the author develops their relationship of growth and not repeating the same mistakes over and over.
What I Struggled With So what I really struggled with is the actions from Scarlett in the first half of the book. I do not understand why she wasn't honest with Brando. It just didn't make sense to me. Why she was hiding so much from him especially when she knew his family and connections were in Italy and they both were at risk. But even when she had the suspicion that he was under the impression she might be having an affair, she still didn't come clean. She wasn't even willing to be honest until he made her face up to it and she had to repair their relationship. He shouldn't have had to face her in that way for her to treat him as she should have. So her actions in this book ruined some enjoyment from the story and I knocked off half a star for her actions here. Lets hope she and Brando are honest with each other from now on. But we shall see what this author does. So far all THREE books have had inner relationship drama.
Narration The narration was perfectly portrayed and honestly it brought out the lyrical writing so much stronger within the audio. Its a DUO narration too so I really enjoyed that so much. And I really enjoyed the moments in which the story was crafted so brilliantly. I just couldn't put down this audio and that's rare. So if you want a beautiful narration to listen to, you can trust with this author.
Overall View Royals of Italy is a sensual and passionate installment that takes you to the beauty and elegance of Italy, showcases the power of trust and the ability to overcome in the critical moments and portrays an enigmatic powerful epic love to draw you deeper into this captivating world of danger and passion...
Favorite Quote(s) Without you, I’d lose the best part of me. You changed me that night out in the snow. Instead of my path leading me here, it led me to you first. No matter what I do or become, I still have you. I’m safe in your love no matter what.
Marriage isn’t about me. It’s not about you. It’s about us. Neither of us comes before what we have.
You listen without having to stare. You understand without requesting constant clarification. You give counsel in secret. You are a wife, a lifelong mate, the beat behind a man’s heart, and the honor in his veins.

Steam/Spice Explanations
Warmin' by the fire- a medium level of sexual tension, a balance of sexual and emotional intimacy, lighter on the details in the sexual moments.
This book is a mountain I swear. The information is brillant, the detail of everything I honest picture it all.
So far this is my favorite book. I have never known love like it. No other author has written love like Bella has.
So they are now married, but living apart. Brando is working on the rigs while Scarlett is living in italy not realising how close she is to the world brando has tried to keep her from. This book is where the famiglia come in, and OMG it's so good. They use Scarlett as a prawn to get Brando to join them. This book gets a little bit dark, brando show a completely different side to him in this book. It gets extremely intense. Scarlett constantly find herself need to be saved.
There are many new characters in this book, Rocco and his wife Rosaria omg I love them, I pray they have their own book or we get more o them in the next books.
I have to mention Maggie beautiful, she is a favorite, I absolutely love her and Violets children, they are so funny. Brando's and Scarlett's story is incredible but the other characters truly make it so much more.
Rosaria came to stand next to her husband, touching his cheek. “I can become accustomed to this, I think.” “Seeing me touch your husband?” I said, ready to pinch her. Brando cleared his throat. “No,” she said, giving her husband a quick kiss. “Women asking permission first.”
Paul Violet's child.... “Don’t worry,” Paul said, voice nasally, blocked from the finger up his nose. “BRANDPOW will give you a sucka if you cry. But you gotta cry.” LOL
I just love it. My words will never do it justice.
I didn’t think Brando’s love for Scarlett could surpass the past two books, but boy, he blew me away!
Finally, in this book we are seeing the linkage between Brando and the mafia. All the secrets Scarlett was keeping. I about died when Brando started thinking what he was thinking. Read the book and you’ll understand what I’m talking about.
This book had me in knots. I had no idea what was gonna happen and where it would leave my beloved Scarlett & Brando.
Overall, the third book in this series was phenomenal.
The writing is addicting and I’m loving seeing the transformation from these characters.
The passion and love between these two is unlike any romance I’ve read. They keep falling more and more in love and I’m loving every single second of this beautiful yet intense ride.
“In this world and in another. Where you go, I follow. If you’re going to heaven, I need to be there too.”
This series has me sucked in, hook, line and sinker! Each book gets better and better! There is so much going on and the storyline in this book just kept unfolding much to my disbelief!
There were two notes I made (among a lot of others) that I believe summed up book III.
This family seemed dormant, like a sleeping giant, until I came along.
The real question was: who will you become, my love? But I wouldn't receive an answer from him. Not then.
This series so far has it all! And this author's writing is superb!
All of the fancy-scented products drifted to me from where I stood in the shadows right outside of the golden sunlight that coated the kitchen and the woman in it. It was that certain time of day when light clings. Her figure softened to butter, hazy at best, like an angel bathing in dusk.
The rustling of leaves overhead, the faint perfume of a lamented zesty lemon lingering in the air, and the whine of the wind when it sweeps low to the ground seemed to be the only proof that life moved on.
So beautifully written! She paints a picture you can see in your head! I cannot wait to continue on with this series!!
OMG WTF DID I JUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG....... OMG........ OMG......... I just don't have words to express how I feel after reading this book. I mean I was in awe and I loved LOVED every minute that Brando spent with his wife Scarlett. Yes they are married and living the dream. Brando spoils Scarlett like no ones business and I love how he takes care of her needs and her wants. Brando is always thinking about Scarlett and what she wants.
He has a love for her like no other I have ever seen but his secret is about to come out and Scarlett being Scarlett finds out that Brando has been keeping a secret and when the truth comes out the family comes after Brando trying to use Scarlett to get to him and there is no way in hell he is going to allow that. The family tries to use Scarlett as a pawn to get Brando to come back in the family fold and be like his father. But there is no way in hell Brando is going to do that. They should have never under estimated a man determined and in love! Oh Lord I need part four like right now!
The story continues! I love the turn that the story took in this book. What was once a simple love story between two destined souls, has now turned into a story drenched in the mafia lifestyle.
In the midst of all the changes happening in her life, Scarlett begins setting up a life in Italy to help comfort herself in Brando's continues two week absences. The domino effect from one decision she makes turns their life upside down.
Brando, through his rough and stoic demeanor, is doing all he can to set him and Scarlett up for a lavish life. His continuous sacrifices almost get in the way of their happiness, though, and soon enough he's found himself having to make the decision of a lifetime. The life he's always fought against is knocking at his front door... Will he answer it's calling?
Their connection is tested in this book, but I love love love how this author wrote their perseverance. I'm excited for what comes next for these two, and I'm anxious for just how Bella will make it all happen.
The sleeping danger has been awakened. . . the force unleashed. . .
There was a sleeping monster hidden behind all that beauty, strength, determination, alpha, dominate male. There was one thing that could unleash the danger and havoc that he could cause and in this installment we get to see so much more.
I caution you to read the two previous parts first. I caution you to not take this lightly. I caution you to not be engage in anything else. This will consume you and have you biting nails to get to the next installment.
Take your time. Take your steps to this one. Make sure that you read both of the parts before this one. You will thank yourself for the foresight of doing this.
Brando Fausti is having a hard time working on the rigs and being so far away from Scarlett when one dive things go wrong and he really needs to think about where he wants to be. Scarlett Rose Fausti has begun living in Italy when a case of mistaken identity leads her to meet Brando’s family and a world she was never involved in before. But will Brando be happy with his new family and how will they receive him? Will his family be the strength that Brando needs to rid himself and Scarlett of Olivier Nemerus? This book is getting so much deeper than I thought it would and it looks like this will be a huge series! I love Brando as he is such an alpha male and hates asking for help but wants to keep Scarlett safe and well protected. Unfortunately, that doesn’t work out too well once she meets his family. Brando works super hard on the rigs and wants to make sure he can provide for Scarlett without dipping into the tainted money from his father. Scarlett is a wonderful character who almost becomes someone else in Italy as she has to rely on herself and then Maggie Beautiful and Violet to live. I love that she feels like she has so much more freedom over there than she did in Paris. I thought the whole thing with Brando’s family was done so well on misconceptions and I was shocked about the racing for the family and what it proved. I really liked the walk between Scarlett and Brando’s grandfather, Marzio. The end was a huge shock for me and I was not expecting any of that! I am anxious to see where the next book takes us and if certain characters meet their demise! By Rebecca
This story deserves so many more than 5 stars! The Beautiful Years- Part 3 by Annie Rose Welch. Oh My Gosh…is it HOT in here or is it just me! I am so addicted to this love story and the characters that I find myself thinking about them randomly during the day. Maggie Beautiful has stolen my heart- she is such a fantastic character. I’m hoping somewhere in this story she gets her well deserved HEA too. As we move into the depths of what I like to call the “after the honeymoon” phase with Brando and Scarlett you can see how both become so vulnerable by being apart- what a tragedy! But their love is so deep and strong- it will conquer all in the end (of this I am sure). “Thank you for being mine. For loving me despite me.” This story is so intense and beautifully written, you want it to keep going and going. Just like any true and committed relationship this story has the most important elements of patience, perseverance, and most importantly passion. I highly recommend this book, series, and author to you.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Brando Fausti loves his wife, Scarlett, and he'll do whatever it takes to protect her, to keep her safe. Always in the back of his mind is the famiglia he turned his back on, knowing they're out there, watching.
But they live their lives outside of that sphere until one day they force Brando to do something. And that's when the story really ramped up and got Mafia crazy. I love the direction the author has taken Scarlett and Brando, and cannot wait for more of these two because they're seriously fire together. Sexy, emotionally substantial, and action-packed. I'm awaiting part 4 eagerly!
At first The Beautiful Years series started out a bit slow to me, but I kept going, and I'm ever so glad that I have, as it keeps getting better & better. Now, I'm completely immersed in the world that Annie Rose Welch has created, and I don't want to leave it. Her descriptive genius transported me into Brando's world effortlessly, and I have fallen more in love with him than ever. And Scarlett, oh Scarlett, how she has come into her own at this point, and not by choice to be honest. The angst has punched me right in the stomach, and I feel the turmoil like it's my own, but I believe in their love, that it will conquer all. This is an intense journey, which is not over by a long shot, full of more twists that kept my f-bombs dropping. And it's Part 111, so you MUST READ Parts 1 & 11 FIRST, or you don't get the big picture! That's all that I'm going to say about it, because it's just better to read it for yourselves! I CANNOT WAIT for the next part, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
This series is phenomenal.... It’s all over the place and where some series begin to become predictable after the first couple of books this is the total opposite. Things will happen and you’re expecting one thing and when you see the outcome your stumped.
I think what I like most about this is Scarlett’s determination and gumption but she still has that innocence about her. Brando is all man and wants to be in charge but his women is not having it. I have to say in the beginning I thought this was going to be a dud because it was going so slow but now I appreciate it because it set the foundation to understand all the madness happening. This family is something else and I’m loving every minute of it!
This series gets better with each book. I laughed and I cried! Every emotion felt!
Now that the Fausti famiglia has been introduced, there is so much more intrigue and danger. We first meet Brando's half brothers (that he never knew he had) who first make themselves known to Scarlett while Brando is back in the states working. This brings it's own kind of trouble so that when Brando finally meets them it doesn't go over real well initially. We also finally meet his grandfather, Marzio, the head of the famiglia. Nonno (grandfather) is tough but also wise and a but of a sweetheart.
We're also introduced to the uncles, Nonno's sons, which includes Uncle Tito (Dr. Tito Sala from Machevellian). Unfortinately, not all the Uncles are as nice as Uncle Tito. With the introduction of Ettore, Marzio's 2nd eldest son (oldest, Brando's father, is in jail), we have a new protagonist and by the end of this book he has started a war within the family. Ettore makes Nemours look tame. Where Nemours is a sly Fox, conniving and cunning, but uses lies and charm to get what he wants, Ettore is the vicious wolf, he cares nothing about how others might be affected (not even family) and he'll use whatever means necessary, fair or foul, including violence to get what he wants. In tru th, he has no loyalties except to himself, his greed and what he believes is his entitlement.
Scarlett and Brando have several trials to face in order to gain their freedom from the famiglia. There are inherent dangers where things could go wrong and some do. Lies from Nemours and his collaboration with Ettore only make matters worse and Brando comes close to losing Scarlett.
Brando's stepmother, Bonfilia (Lucious Fausti's wife) makes an appearance... talk about Looney tunes...she makes Maggie Beautiful look totally sane. You will love when she's put her in her place.
Brando and Scarlett are still as intense as ever. I love that they can argue and fight like normal couples, that they can disagree or let jealousy or insecurity rear it's ugly head and totally misread a situation only to find their way through it and come out stronger.
By the end of this book, there are several family members that are on team Brando for eventually leading the family, but Nonno has given Brando the right to choose and we know he never wanted any part of the family. However, Ettore's greed and jealousy are going to lead to actions that will rain a hail storm down on everyone by the end of this book leaving some dead, others injured and not only the family's future in question, but Brando's and Scarlett's as well. Can't wait for more so I'm jumping right into book 4, Kingdom of Corruption.
Bella Di Corte wrote a book that transported me to Italy, to take in the sights, scents, and sounds. It’s the terracotta pots, wonderful mismatched but beautiful ceramic patterns, the colors, the stones. It’s garlic, lemon, pasta, cherries, and wines. It’s Brando and Scarlett’s heartbeat, the sound of a breeze, the splash of a dive into the sea.
It’s both brilliant and dark. Brando Brando Brando! (Again you cant say his name once) He is part humbled hero that shies away, it gives him this innocence, and yet he is a beast! Let’s talk a bit about him. He is a deep sea diver, its dangerous, and intense. And yet he is the best at it. He truly can be anything, and I feel like this big change is coming his way. There is only so long you can keep your family’s secrets. I wonder what’s next for him. Now that some secrets are out and he had to protect his wife’s honor. Now that we saw that he would kill for her, he would die for her and look for her in the next life.
Scarlett becomes one with Italy and I love that she does. I love that she embraces, changes, and learns. But she is still Scarlett. She still wants to go back to their home on Snow and teach ballet. There are things ahead, dark and I believe terrible things. But I hope and pray that their love withstands.
Amazing scenery of Tuscany, secrets revealed and the meeting of the beautiful and most dangerous crime family, The Fausti’s. Brando is being tested. His family wants him. They want bloodshed and a leader and to do that somebody dangerous sees the appeal and value of Scarlett and her dancing.
Ballerina Girl and Beast! Their love is beyond anything I have ever read, their souls are so connected it feels like they are one. The way Scarlett is an empath, the way they feel one another when they are a part. What is going on here?
Everything is so much more. More smiles, more scenes, more danger, more sensuality. Their love making is decadent. The terrace scene ! Oof!
The side characters are great and hope to read more of them.
Brando Fausti has gone on a deep-sea dive and taken the reader right along with him. That includes not panicking at the depths he has to travel. Scarlett Rose Poesy shows us the love she has for her husband. This third book in the Fausti Poesy saga seems to be all about their relationship. We get to watch them navigate the world of marriage. You also get to travel with them without having to leave your armchair.
In this third book in the Beautiful Years series there are plenty of characters that come and go. Just like us, people come and go and some have a small effect on what happens in our lives. Temptation seems to be a theme here. There seems to be a few enticements that are put in Scarlett’s path. The author does a great job at tempting her readers as well. It had me wondering what else this author was going to put in front of Scarlett – just like that enchanted apple.
In the last book, I thought “soap opera” but with this book I thought “reality show”. It’s like watching their life play out for our enjoyment. In this story, I connected more about what was going on with Scarlett. It was like Brando was taking a back seat so that his wife could shine. But that doesn’t stop family business from sneaking in – even though we don’t see it or read it doesn’t mean that it’s gone away. There are ups and downs in any relationship and I felt a sense of sadness as I worked my way toward the end that left me with a sense of foreboding. I’m so ready for book four – I want to know…
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
I had to take time to write this review as I was mesmerised by the brilliant writing as the third book in this fantastic saga continues we see an insight into Brando’s family the famiglia, how they perceive him and want him to accept who he was born into and what he could become. Scarlett and Brando’s relationship is tested in everyway in this gripping almost Suspenseful saga but never ever do you not want Brando to come through his demons whatever the outcome. How can you not love him he is a Powerful, Possessive Alpha male who adores and lives for Scarlett. I loved reading about Brando and in this book we also get to read how his actual real job as a deep sea diver pushes him and allows him to prove how strong he is and how much determination he has in all that he does. I am so loving this series and now cannot wait for May to be here to pick up where I left off to read more about how their relationship will be tested and how Brando continues to almost put on hold his calling in his famiglia. Pick up this series you won’t regret reading It, I can promise you you will be begging for more, as I am, forget chores etc this willl demand your attention, I can’t think of a more dominant male, Brando, Brando, Brando......
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Brandon has been keeping a secret…a secret that could unravel his perfect world…
The Fausti famiglia was one of the most infamous and powerful crime families in the world. Their rule spanned the thickness of history books…and I was one of them.
Because I was a monster just like them, and I’d sacrifice it all to keep the woman I called mine safe…even if it meant my life.
Another fantastic instalment that consumed me from the get go! Annie Rose Welch has a talent for creating a slow burning story packed with depth, intrigue wrapped in a love that runs so deep its hard not to feel it and fall for these characters! I can’t wait to see what happens next!
Would highly recommend. This is book three in a series and it is imperative you start with book one.

* I received this book as a gift in exchange for my honest opinion.
Just when you fall in love with these two, this author pulls you even deeper in to their story, family and incredible bond. I have to admit. Although this series is all about Scarlett and Brando, I have become completely infatuated and obsessed with the Fausti Family!!! I just can't get enough!!!
While Brando is off shore doing his job in the depth of ocean, Scarlett is struggling to find her "purpose", feeling the need to nest. So what does she do? She associates herself with one of the most powerful, richest and dangerous families in Europe. And of course all of this happens without Brando's knowledge because he isn't even on dry land. Uh oh....
This is just the beginning of secrets being told, allies being made and enemies surfacing for revenge. But all the while, there is love, trust and respect between Scarlett and Brando. Truly a relationship built on a forever and ever, where no one can come between them.
Is there a cliffhanger? Not really. But there is definitely unfinished business...with vengeance written all over it...and I can't wait!!!
Wow! Ms. Welch has done it again with the 3rd and latest novel, “The Beautiful Years-III” from her phenomenal Mafia Romance Saga. This too, grabbed me from the get-go and kept me glued to my seat not wanting to stop when my real life got in the way :o lol ... With a fresh, intriguing storyline, wonderful characters, witty dialogue and vivid descriptions that will take you on an emotional roller-coaster ride! ... IMHO, this talented author’s must read series could be made into block-buster movies or a TV series, so I know that readers will become addicted, too! ... I never write spoilers or recap blurbs, but I do know when a novel and series should become bestsellers and deserves more than 5 stars! ... So yes, I highly recommend this to adult fans of fiction and can’t wait for the next installment, but I certainly will!
Well this one is titled and the synopsis has us thinking it's predominantly about them becoming royalty in Italy, this one actually starts just delving into Brando himself at offset.
The beginning chapters finally opens up about Brando and his job on the offshore rigs as a diver and of Scarlett finally, after over 4 years, going back to Louisiana to visit him.
Rosaria, the opera singer, starts muddying the water and initiates the path for Scarlet to start understanding and knowing who Brando's famiglia is all without his knowledge.
The clash and battle of the royal siblings and other day members begins not only for Scarlett's honor and contract, but Brando's future as well.
Annie continues to blow me away with her amazing writing skills. I get so caught up in the story that I can feel the sun on my face and grass in my toes. An author that can make you feel what she is writing is a wonderful thing.
I am going to keep this short and sweet. I don’t want to give away any spoilers.
Brando and Scarlett are now in Italy. Scarlett finally finds out about his family and the backlash of being part of the family.
I am going to stop now, sorry. If you read the other two books you are going to love this one too. If you haven’t read the other two books, why not? They are awesome!!
I don't know if i can put words to justice for how great this book is. I'm even more in love with Brando Fausti. Scarlett is just as fascinating. This book is even more intense as you go along. My heart beats pretty steady and the anticipation of what is next is always a shock. As always so poetically written and I'm just so entranced by the way it's written and told. So many characters coming into the mix, my brain is trying to keep them compartmentalized. (Or something like that.) But I'm so ready for more and I can't hardly wait for the next book. I highly recommend this series. More so if you love reading mafia love stories.
I am writing a review after reading the third book and I am obsessed with the love Scarlett and Brando have. What I really love is that it's not cheesy. Annie makes you feel like this is the type of love that readers can truly have. The drama is so juicy and there were times I was laughing so hard.
In this book I have developed a crazy crush on Rocco lol but I think it's because he reminds me of Brando. I
I'm not going to lie though, I thought writing multiply sequels about two ppl was going to be a drag. Let me tell you, I can't get enough. I'm going to miss them when I'm done with all them.
I am really disappointed. after reading Machiavellian, I was sure I had found a new author who would provide me with interesting reading with stories that hold together and get to the point. I also believed that she wrote mafia stories and with the name of the serie you could assume that would be the case. I tried well with this book which should bring on stage the Fausti family and the mafia side of history. I arrive at the third, it goes round in circles, still no mafia on the horizon. there is no guideline to the story; it's going nowhere, so much so that I couldn't even summarize the part I read. disappointed. really, really disappointed.
So intense and a must read. This story grabs you by the throat because you don't know what is going to happen next except that it is beyond your comprehension and realm of reality. I am sucker punched by the connection between Scarlett and Brando. The ribbon that unites them. I was crying when Scarlett danced for the family and Rocco was her protector until Brando could be by her side. I can't wait for the next book.

There is a reason Rosaria wants her close and it starts by a visitor who looks the image of Brando, secrets are now going to keep out, and Brando thinks secrets are being kept from him by his wife. This has been a dark read from the very beginning and this book is no different full of suspense and romance in a dark, dark way, wonderful
