Lisa is not a people’s person; she is an introvert and if she didn’t put herself out there she didn’t have to be rejected. Meeting Tom as a child changed the direction of Sam’s life. Tom is a ghost from his past and for him to show up now rattled Sam, because it has been 15-years since he has last seen him. Was this a friendly visit or an arrest? Jack is the only one Sam can trust. Turning up at Jack’s house in a drunken stupor, Sam gives away more secrets than he intends to and there are consequences. Maria has plans too and as a result Sam’s life will never be the same again.

Tom needs whatever Sam tells him to make him feel like a whole person again, because when he was younger he had difficulty processing what had happened between the two. May be Sam deserved to go to jail for what he did; not the robbery but for his betrayal of Tom. Sam has his doubts about trusting Tom and he has a right to, because Tom chooses vengeance. Sam has been betrayed by his one love and without thinking he has abandoned Snow Pea; he deserves to be in jail. In another bar, looking for a distraction, Sam meets Eve. One of the things that Sam likes about Eve is she is unpredictable, always in control and calculating and never stops surprising him. But then again, Eve’s surprise for Sam, is not exactly what he is expecting.
