I don't like giving reviews with less than 3 but after evaluating my ranking system, that's where this book landed.

Star Cursed is an interesting read in comparison to the other things I've read. I was able to follow the plot pretty easily and I did enjoy many parts of the story - or rather, I was able to feel a sense if second hand embarrassment while reading which is always a plus.

Had I based it on that alone, this book would be an easy 3 to 4 star rating but there's just too much that I personally can not ignore.

For starters, there seemed to be no character development in the slightest. There was one character to claimed that the main character had changed (mentality wise) but I didn't see it. I even went back to read over the book again to see if I could tell where it was but I couldn't.

Personally, I would prefer to be able to see the change rather than be told by a character, who's memories I don't know, that someone has changed.

The biggest kicker here is that I feel the book didn't deliver with the "moral of the story" or type.

While reading I was under the impression that the story was supposed to have a strong female lead, if not physically then mentally, and I never got that. Instead, I got a somewhat bratty-princess (type) who was never really punished for anything who gets her way in the end but not from her own hard work or effort.

So, with the story doing well for face value but lacking in core, I had to give it a two. It is a decent read though.
