Book 6 - Iced The sixth and final book in the Stranded Series sees the teens injured and divided. With Alex out of commission with her injury and seven small kids to protect, Quinn is forced to keep them hidden and protected at the hospital while hoping they won’t be discovered by more of the sick scavengers that attacked them.
Josh and the rest of the group have the challenges of negotiating a deal to relocate the nurse and terminally ill children to the zoo. If successful, they still have to attempt to reach the medical supply depot for the medication their town desperately needs. All while avoiding the gangs that rule the inner-city core. The clock is ticking against them as the Chinook weather front can end at any moment leaving them all ICED in place.
Enjoy the thrilling conclusion to the Stranded Series that has been called "binge worthy" by reviewers.
Theresa Shaver lives in South Central Alberta Canada. As an avid reader, I used to dream about writing and sharing my own stories with the world. Publishing was a far off and intimidating goal until Amazon opened the gates! I love that I get real feed back from my fans on my books instead of some guy behind a desk who studies market trends. I write to share my dreams with the world and now I can. My first series is a Young Adult Post-apocalypse story. I love writing about the growth of characters faced with such huge challenges and plan to continue future stories in wrecked worlds. It's a new do it yourself world in so many industries so never stop believing in your dreams and do it yourself!
The conclusion of the series though it is possible the author will expand the series later on. I'm not going into too many details about the story but I do want to talk about a few things.
1. Though Cooper remains my fav character the MVP of this book is Josh. He's the planner, the negotiator and remains positive and funny throughout. No he isn't the only one who does these things but he really made me laugh a time or two...so yeah Josh for the win. 2. The girls in this book are kickass! They take no prisoners and neither will they be prisoners. Emily especially rocked in this book. 3. Most of the adults in this book are idiots, cowards or monsters. In the end the adults in their hometown get a clue but once again it's the teens who save the day. 4. There's actual mention of the trauma they faced...with PTSD and therapy. Hats off to the author for that.
So yeah, a fun series I'm happy to have discovered
Finally finished the entire series. I honestly could go for more. Of the reunion of teacher and students. Of new adventures, etc. But I'm happy, it was a sweet, fun, tense adventure. A few grammatical and spelling errors that I guess editors didn't catch, but didn't deter from the story. Over all I enjoyed.
This was one of those series that you could not stop reading. I've spent the past two days reading all six books. Each one was better then the previous one. I like the way the author writes. You feel like you are right in the middle of the action
A great read! Will continue to follow this author.
My daughter and I love this series. We listened to the first four books on audio version while we packed to move and then my mother read frozen and iced to my daughter while we drove on vacation. I really hope there are more to this series.
I absolutely loved the series. The author brings such a life like approach to an apocalyptic situation. Absolutely appropriate for younger teens as well.
Another great book, about a very, very bad year. Latest written, I am hoping this is not the last book in this Stranded series. There are so many threads left hanging. Escaping the city is not easy, and you'll be hanging on every word, like a girl hanging off of a tall skyscraper. Get the whole series, you won't regret it.
