JFDI: A Story of a Manufacturing Turnaround

Just Flipping Do it! My colleagues demanded - Write a fictional story amalgamating all the clients you have had over the years as an interim manufacturing consultant. So, I sat down and without exposing anyone or any business I set about developing a fictional story which would encompass all the best practices I have gathered over my thirty years of working in and around manufacturing.
I have changed the names and places to protect the innocent (and the guilty). It's designed to give middle to senior management a flavour of some techniques that really work.
This work is a combination of several businesses I have had the privilege to help. It is a series of best practices and stories I hope you can all relate to. If you're nodding and smiling or laughing out loud I have achieved my goal.

Please adopt at least one idea or process to trial and hopefully you will experience a rapid response with real results seen on the bottom lines.
