The War of the Angels has begun, and Hell hath no idea of the fury they have unleashed.

Katie has decided that too many people are trying to play with power instead of doing what is right.

Does she bite off more than she can chew when she makes a statement that upsets the World Council?

Even the general is at a loss. However, with Pandora on her side, who is going to win if they argue with them?

Whether it is possible or not, plenty try.

How much of what Katie does is due to her recent heartache?

In the end, the enemy steps up their efforts to bring down these sisters in heart and deed. Do they finally have the answer?

Others need legal documents, these two women have a Sacred Pact. The World is in Good Hands...

Ok, one set of good hands, one set of mischievous hands.

This is the first book in the third series about Katie, the daemon … and the angel. I think the first thing that comes to my mind when starting this review is the saying “too many cooks…”. There are no less than three authors listed on this book and, unfortunately, the book was actually a bit of a disappointment.

I do not think Michael Anderle himself did much of the writing to be honest but still, three authors for something that is not an anthology (and I do not like those much either by the way) is at least one too much in my opinion.

Sure the book has a lot of the good stuff in there. Katie, Lilith, bantering, ass-kicking and so on and so forth. However, at the end of the last series I was quite thrilled. Not only is Katie and angel, or at least a half-angel, but Lilith sprouted angel wings and did some series angelic ass-kicking as well. I hoped for good things to come in this series.

Unfortunately, in their first encounter with some new supernatural entity both of them just fall flat on their arses. Disappointing.

What is worse though and which is my main gripe with this book is the (re)introduction of political asswipes. I though that stuff was over and done with when the General and Katie wacked the previous bunch of assholes but apparently not. Now we got another shithead playing political games trying to screw over the savior of humanity for their own fucking benefit. Not only that but, to add insult to injury, the add lawyers as well. I just wanted to fast-read through every page with this crap in it. I so hate that stuff as you might deduce from my choice of words here.

The rest of the book is, well, not bad but I get a feeling that it is jumping around quite a lot with various sub story arcs. The maybe it was just me getting so pissed off with the political asswipe crap that I did not really pay attention to the rest of the book.

As I wrote, this book was a pretty big disappointment. I think I have to calm down a bit before trying the next installment in the series.

Never trust a big butt and a smile

When we left you last Brock and team were missing and Katie was on a war path to find and confirm they weren’t dead. And they aren’t dead but they just might wish they were. In this book we finally get to see demons thinking of attacking Katie in different ways that don’t start and end with opening a portal and sending lesser demons to their death. We also see Katie get into a fight where there is no clear winner, facing an opponent she’s never encountered who might just ring her bell. Either way I can’t wait to see what the demons are cooking up next

I consider this book the triumvirate of the triple read.

This is a very fun series to read, it is my fourth most favorite. The first on my list of course is TKG, then Barnabas vigilante series, then the incredible Mr. brownstone and finally last but not least war of the damned. I enjoyed the multiple storylines that occur in some of the series and I enjoyed the banter with Katie and Pandora in this one. The humor is very witty and makes you want to laugh out loud, a little racy if you don’t like that sort of thing in this book is not for you if you don’t mind read this book.41 T

This series is getting deep

Solid 5 star rating!
Wowzer!!! This series is getting deep. The demons are playing smarter and causing trouble for Katie and Lilith. The people are being played left and right by the demons. Boy does it remind me that in real life, there are people out there that are really that ignorant and gullible by mere words.
The author is definitely keeping this series interesting and I am excited for what's coming next. I know that in the end, eventually good will prevail but at what kind of sacrifices?
Oh the wait!

And the "Beat Down" goes on! I'm very Happy that it does. I hate to say it, but, I can't read all of the many series that come from MT and all the other fabulous authors he has introduced. So I'm down to only 4 pages of my "best to read" lists. This one will always be at the top along with Bethany, James, Shay, Alison and now Raine.
You can't get much better than a "kick-ass" woman or two. I Love It!!

Angels and demons

Another solid entry in the series. Katie and Pandora really up their angelic game but it seems there may be a price... Great action against a new foe and now the politicians are trying to throw their weight around. My only point of dismay is the ending-so abrupt of a cliffhanger is tough to take. Better get the next out in a hurry!

Good story.

Spoiled by Michael.

Really like the idea of this series but I am beginning to think Mr. Todd is better as Mr Anderle.

And at his best when paired with Mss Clarke or Grey, maybe with Mr. Martelle.

So continue reading about angels and demons but look for Kutherians.

Great reading!

Politics suck. It's totally believable because we see it in real life ( ahem ie: the current administration as an example). That being said the war continues and it doesn't look too good for the human race. If they black ball Pandora and Katie the world will fall quickly. Stay tuned!

Wonderful starting story

Loved how evolved Katie and Pandora are getting but Pandora skinless does not seem right. Want Damian back with Matt would be good. Calvin with a demon again and Timothy but a succubus.

Books keep getting better

Loved this book.

The action, the real story line that develops the characters which is something you don’t always get and the challenges that the characters face in an effort to do the right thing

Can’t wait for the next one.

A real blast

This one was a huge blast. So many things happening and huge amounts of action. Katie and Pandora go up against some serious enemies and one huge opponent that nearly gets them both. We won't even talk about the cliff hanger.

Look at my sexy self

For some reason I just kept expecting them to throw Teyo/Sasha into hell and be done with her. I see now why that wouldn't be a good idea. A what's up with all the angels being on lock down? How is Kandora expected to do this on their own?

Trust politicians to frack it up

Loved this book, like all the rest. I'm other words I couldn't put it down.
Dirty slimy politicians are worse than demons. The only ones who lie more are lawyers.
I look forward to the next book.

Unfortunately changing the name of the series did not change underlying theme of the plots.
More of the same, getting very boring.
That is the reason for the 2 star rating even though I enjoy the main character.

The fierce threesome

Lots of fighting. Donuts and soap operas. I might tire of the tale. But not yet. I do seem to have missed an entire series so back to war of the damned. Great stuff.

Meh!

I am done with this series. It has been on a downhill slide for the last few books. This one had multiple story lines and broke up the flow of what should have been the main/only story line. Not to mention boring. Like the same song played over and over and over again.

New enemies

We see new enemies on the scene. Slimy demons are manipulating weak-willed, cowardly men. A Leviathan is causing havoc.

KatieDora and their team keep fighting, men and demons alike, and won’t take any sh*t from anyone. The War of the Angels has started.

Good to go!

More of everything you love from the Damned books. Katie and Pandora continue to evolve and the human leaders continue to eff things up with a little demonic help. Another nasty Leviathan needs dealt with.

Good first book in the 3rd phase of an ongoing series. Be prepared for plenty of violence, sexual innuendo, and cursing. Quick read.

Getting Schemy

Can't get around politics? Why not just shoot me and get it over with. Demons now use manipulation to get around heroism. Will Katie survive human greed ?

A Sacred Pact

Katie and Pandora, a dream team who, because they fought in the side of humanity, upset those that desired power above morality.

A lot of fun

This book was a lot of fun. I think I read b it out of order, but that doesn't take away from it being a really fun book.
