I can't wait for part 2. This is one messed up family. There are so many questions I want answered and part 1 is the set up for getting those answers. Marietta has had a reckoning with the birth of her baby. She understands what her mother must have gone through with she and Mirabella. Poor Carlo is going to have his entire world turned upside down in the next book. I don't like Adara. I'm team Shae all the way. I want to see Shae just come back and just move her out of the way. And poor little Lucciola feels so unwanted. She's a daddy's girl all the way, but she's about to get into some big trouble thanks to her cousin who knows better.
Sienna Minx has done what she always does and that is writing a wonderful and well researched series on this mafia family and all of the nuances that entails. I just love how Mirabella has evolved from being Donna drawing back to a loving wife who has to walk that fine line of being Gio's wife and his Donna. The love of his family is the only thing that keeps him from really going off, just like Marietta does to Lorenzo. But in their case she feeds his crazy too. Poor Domi just can't get his love life together. He's still in love with Catalina, but she is not ready yet. She wants to live life on her own terms now. Zia is trying her best to kill all of the family secrets so the family can be healed. That is the biggest question. Can the family be healed? Oh and how will they get rid of Jasper? I know Carlo is going to handle that!.
I just love love love this series. It is one of my favorites that I would recommend to anyone. I hate to see it ending. I would love to see a series about the next generation though. I'm sure Gino, Giani and Eve have quite a few stories to tell.
This book was bellissimo! If you want a good read about love, mayhem, intrigue, revenge and the Mafia! This book as well as the series is for you. Ms. Lynx did a fantastic job in writing. The old cast of characters are back and some new ones also. Goo and Lo don't disappoint. This is classic tale of building a better mouse trap. I will say the storyline moves with good tempo and stay with it because you are constantly trying see who with outwit.outlast, outplay. Fantastic.
So I'm in love! Been in love from Destino. Awesome. My fate is sealed. Ti amo mi amour Battaglias! Can't wait to be added to discussion group so I can decompress on all things Battagalia.
It is a page turner. Enjoy! I did! Ms. Mynx did herself proud and we as readers are thrilled to death.
This book was well worth the wait. I loved how she brought the readers up to date on everyone. This story picked up right where the previous book left off. Sienna has done a wonderful job telling this saga of lies, betrayal, heartache, love and family. these men are crazy the things they do to gain an upper hand on each other is beyond crazy but that's what makes this a great read. My main interest is Carlo's story. I want him and Shae to have their HEA and yes I'm still pulling for Lorenzo but I think his time is dwindling down. I can't wait to read part 2 next month!
I am disappointed in the ending of this book. I do not like that Adara is pregnant with Carlo's baby while poor Shea is in the States (Texas) even though she came looking for Carlo, she was turned away by that devious Umberto. I have a feeling that it will be found out what he did and all the other devilish things he has been doing (he would turn over and murder Lorenzo and Carlo just for power under Gio which shows what kind of mind set he has)! Gio is out of control and on his usual power trip along with dim-witted Mirabella. She shows strength but whenever he says something, she gives in to him too easily and that bothers me a lot. They were my power couple and I love the connection and romance between them until the last book (Bella Mafia) when she showed her ugly and power hungry side. I understand that she was angry because Gio was suffering in his coma but her treatment of her bio family (to me) was unacceptable. Gio took over again after waking from his coma which it should be but in this book, he is totally out of control. I tried to rationalize his feelings and I truly hope that he and Gio will be able to come together soon without death and violence and just stay estranged from each other. My most unhappy feeling about this book is taking Marietta's baby from her and keeping it for themselves. That is also unacceptable! They already have three kids and Mirabella is pregnant again and Marietta's baby is the only one she had. How dare they! The laws in their country and the way that those guys keep getting away with mess would not work in the USA! Anyway, sorry for my rant! I am now reading Omerta Part 2 and I hope for a better ending.
I really want Lorenzo and Marietta to be killed off already. Catalina and Mirabella annoyed me in this book. I feel sorry for Carlo and hope he and Shae can work things out. Dominic needs to let Catalina go. I do love how much of a Boss Giovanni is. He saved this book and poor little Evie is neglected by both of her Parents. But I believe she has a lot of Giovanni in her. Belinda needs to go home. I don't like the name Marietta gave their child. She clearly loves Lorenzo more than herself and child. Again, although I love this series, I am glad it is coming to an end. Good book.
First, five stars because it Ms. Mynx and it's the Battaglia series! Next: where was the editor/grammar checker/proofreader??? Last, I tried hard to hate Lorenzo, but then he got Marietta back, lost the baby, and I felt SORRY for him! I've kinda never liked Catalina, I would not have been upset if she was deleted from all the books(let Domi have Sera)!! Giovanni is still a little cray cray, but he's a total badass! What about Shae???? And will little rotten Eve burn the house down???
Excellent book and writing. I love this series and probably will be extremely sad when it ends. There was so much drama, lies, secret, death and destruction. I am hoping that the family can pull it together. I love for a HEA for Dominic and Catalina and Carlos and Shae not Adara. It is just what I hope for. Now for Lorenzo the jury is still out but I do not wish the pain for Marrietta. Hopefully Gio will return her child. I can wait for next book.
Brilliantly written. The Battaglias are back and crazier than ever. Nothing is as it seems. Everything is chaotic, but in the chaos we see who they are now, and who they will become. Every single family member has changed. No one is who we think they are. I didn’t think it possible, but even Marietta has changed. Excellent read.
The Battaglia saga continues and it's better than ever! You will cAtch up with everyone in this book from Lorenzo and Marie to Shae and Carlo and of course, Bella and Gio! Can't put this diwn! On to Ibarra Book 2
It's hard to review this book since this is part one of two without spoiling it for others. This book left me with more questions than answers. You know all of the characters and they were fully developed in other books. There are some new players and I'm not sure of their roles or motivations, and I really don't care. They'll all end up dead or useless, simply filler. We have all the characters we need to finish this series.
Carlos is the only one that I have any sympathy for and that's about to run out, especially if he doesn't open his eyes to the true Lorenzo and stop idealizing him. My goodness, how many of his brothers does Lorenzo have to kill for him to see him for the self serving, vicious, evil, soulless person he is?
Same old errors, mostly word usage - pass instead of past. Will I read one book out of the last two without those same errors? Surely, if this book causes me to hate or resent most characters, it must be the author's purpose in weaning me off this series. Waiting for Omerta II to make more decisions. Still, as with all the Battaglia's book, this was a page turner. Just make sure you're ready to miss sleep when you read this one.
This book was everything I wanted and needed for an early Christmas. Gio is back, stronger than ever and just downright diabolical. The only thing that I can think is that his karma is going to come in the form of adorable yet possibly psychopathic little Eve. I find it ironic that all the men talk about how they are their fathers sons but she is definitely a daddy's girl and where his legacy will begin or end. There are so many things going on it is almost overwhelming but the story is so well written and woven together that I did not move from the beginning until the end that came much to soon. Bravo! Sienna Mynx has done it again. I just want to know so badly how this ends yet I will be heartbroken when it inevitably does.
What a read just before christmas loved, loved, loved it Mrs Sienna Mynx you never disappoint me with your writing. This book was worth the wait it was both gripping and exciting to read. The Battaglias are fighting their own war with Gio and Lo trying to out smart each other for the title of Don. I for 1 can't wait for part 2.
Lots of twists and turns happening in this book with the Battaglia family. Everyone’s lies and truths are being surfaced and you can’t tell which is which. Another excellent book by Sienna. Definitely a must read series
There surprises at every turn in the continuing saga . I like being a voyeur being a part of the story but more of an observer . I can't wait for part 2 I read this book in one day
This book has been long awaited. It did take me a bit of time to remember what happened to everyone and author did bring us up to date. I am still Sad about Lorenzo and Marietta and Carlo and Shae. On to book 9 and to see what happens to these couples in that book.
This series is so awesome. I'm dying to know how Giovanni is gonna handle Lorenzo's crazy ass. I wanna slap Catalina and Zia. This series should be made into a movie. Sienna you have to keep this series going. It's like a slap opera. I'm loving it.☺
Holy mother of Christ is this a great book. The world these characters live in is beyond complicated and I can’t wait to read Book 2. Excellent book!!!
It took me a very long time to read this book because of my eyes; I’ve had laser surgery and monthly eye treatments since October 2019. I worried that I would never finish this wonderful book but thankfully my eyesight responded positively to every medical treatment I’ve received and I kept reading as best as I could with using a magnifying glass and my strongest reader glasses…
After New Year’s I began reading for longer periods and generally could complete a chapter or two before I’d have to stop and rest my eyes with a long nap. Slowly but surely I kept reading and thinking that when I finally finish this book I’m going to celebrate this achievement with something special… I finish Omertà1 (March 1) and promptly start Omertà2 the next day, and happily realize that I forgot to complete the review because I was SEEING and reading and it was almost like I wasn’t “sight challenged” at all… But my eyes quickly let me know when I need to stop what I’m doing and take a much needed BREAK. So…
I love Sienna’s writing, the characters, storylines and plot twists, so I’m going to hold off on writing MY REVIEW until I finish Omertà2… 🧐♥️📚♥️😊♥️📖♥️📚♥️😉
I love this series! Although I wanted Lorenzo punished I didn't want him dead. I don't know if Gio is going to kill him but him and Marietta deserve to be punished taking their child away is definitely a start. I can't wait to see how everything will play out with Carlo, Adara and Shaye. Their love triangle is juicy and last put not least Dominic and Catalina. I'm not sure how I feel about their situation but I know the resolution will be good. After all the loss, hurt and pain they may as well get back together.
In the end Gio and His Bella will prevail, their love is stronger and their bond solid! I love them and I hate for the series to end but I will enjoy Omertà II and the finale.
Amazing! So glad to read a Siennas book again I missed the Battaglias sooooo much !!! I was not disappointed at all. Gio-baby is still a badass. A hot hubby/daddy. We can see the conflict weither he wants to kill Lo or let him die... that’s kind of troubling. I liked Mira but in contrary of the past book she was not as important as she was. But we can still see the love the two of them share despite everything... I loved Carlo in this book. He is still one of my fav. I am kind of confused with my feelings toward Lo... I am waiting to read the next book to make my opinion. Same for Marietta and Catalina.
But special mention toward Sienna. Wow what an amazing book you gave us 😍😍 You are an angel. Thank you
I rated Omerta book one: 5 stars because this book kept me on the edge of my seat each time I turned a page. Sienna knows how to keep her readers engaged and wanting more. I like that she took the characters in different directions and didn't make them predictable. I like that Catalina didn't run back to Domi when they met at the shop. I expected Carlo to go crazy on Adara being that she worked for the police, glad he didn't. I can go on and on but I'm going to stop here and end it with this BRING ON OMERTA BOOK 2!!!!!
This has been a long time coming but it was certainly worth the wait. I was concerned that I would forget the characters but I'm happy to announce that that's not the case.
Once I started reading, the characters and the storyline fell into place and I was immediately caught up in the storyline and the characters. This is a tribute to the author's amazing abilities. I am anxiously awaiting the conclusion. Job well done.
Hands down my favorite series of all time. The author does an awesome job of making the reader connect with each and every character. I felt like I was part of the Battaglia clan. There’s always great suspense and romance. I was constantly on edge trying to figure out what shit was about to hit the fan next and wondering how the characters were going to get out of dire situations. This series just sucks me in with every book and I always have a hard time putting these books down.
I wish I could put into words how good this series is...but there are none. This series is intoxicating it draws you in and if you’re not careful you will forget about everything else but the Battaglia Family. It is absolutely the best Mafia Series I’ve ever read and I just want more and more of it. It’s the never ending saga that continues to draw you in until you can’t put it down....it has it ALL! A MUST READ!
This has been so fun to read. I can't wait for part two! Everything leaves you with want for more! Sienna mynx is one of my favorite authors because of her ability to make you love every character, even the ones you love to hate! Definitely worth your time and the wait!!!!!!
This series just keeps getting better as we approach the end. Sienna is an excellent storyteller she grabs your attention from the first sentence and hits you with a major twist at the end. The gloves are off and Don Giovanni shows you why he’s the boss of all bosses.
I really enjoyed reading this book! The characters are really brought to life! I think everyone who reads this book will enjoy it! I will definitely recommend this book to others!
