It's a lesson witches are taught from a young age, along with the ones about how we'll never survive a vampire turning, how hunters will always seek to eradicate us, and how a devil's bargain can never be broken.
But together, my rebels and I have shattered every last rule, ignored every last warning. We've grown stronger because of it, and so far, we've survived everything fate has thrown our way.
So what's one more warning shunned, one more cosmic law overturned in the face of such a devastating loss?
Asher. Darius. Ronan. Liam. Emilio.
To keep the men I love safe, there's nothing I won't risk. Break. Destroy.
What's done is done. All we can do now is face the consequences, and hope that when fate comes to collect, we can afford to pay the price.
Sarah Piper is a witchy, Tarot-card-slinging paranormal romance and urban fantasy author. Through her signature brew of dark magic, heart-pounding suspense, and steamy romance, Sarah promises a sexy, supernatural escape into a world where the magic is real, the monsters are sinfully hot, and the witches always get their magically-ever-afters.
Readers have dubbed her work “super sexy,” “imaginative and original,” “off-the-walls good,” and “delightfully wicked in the best ways,” a quote Sarah hopes will appear on her tombstone.
Originally from New York, Sarah now makes her home in northern Colorado with her husband (though that changes frequently) (the location, not the husband), where she spends her days sleeping like a vampire and her nights writing books, casting spells, gazing at the moon, playing with her ever-expanding collection of Tarot cards, binge-watching Supernatural (Team Dean!), and obsessing over the best way to brew a cup of tea.
Grey has accepted her destiny, she just doesn't know how she is supposed to lead the witches she has begun to unite. She and her Rebels begin to formulate a plan to free the Bay area from Darkwinter (who has plunged the area into a severe early winter) and the hunters. She must also find her other two sisters and finally gets a lead on them towards the end of the book.
This installment made up for how disappointing the last book was. Asher spent the last two books in a prison cell, so we got lots of his POV and his delectable incubus powers right from the start albeit while Emilio was flirting with death, but whatever. Grey also manages to help Darius slowly get some of his memories back leading to some fun times with him. Yes, on the whole, there were a LOT more sexy times in this book than the last, giving us what we expect, right? There are some big information bombs dropped on Grey at the end that Grey will have to overcome in the next (and final?) book. There is a big battle looming; I don't think I want to miss it. On the next one!
This series has the habit of nothing happening, then progress being made at the end, and then something dumb happening at the end. And in the case of this one? Something really, really dumb.
I feel as though this series is just dragging on and on. Don't get me wrong, I like it for the most part, but the pacing is hell. It feels as though nothing was planned out and the author is just making it up as she goes along, not a lot of thought going into it.
The ending of this one just irritated me. They finally took an active step toward fighting for their rights, yet it didn't feel like anything came out of it.
Anywho, there's only one book left so I'll stick it through for that and hope for a satisfying end.
5 stars for Death Untold by Sarah Piper. This is book five in The Witch’s Rebels series. Sarah Piper is killing me. I am so in love with this series and these characters. Book five picks up right where book four left us. Gray will do whatever it takes to keep her family safe. She has accepted it is her destiny, even if she doesn’t know how to lead the witches. I’m not sure everyone is going to get the happy ending I am hoping but I’m ok with that. I can not wait to see what will happen in the next book for Gray and her family. Oh, and this book does have a cliffhanger and oh my is it good.
This series is Everything! Grey has finally realized what she has to do and with everyone reunited the war is just being! I love these characters! I have had a super soft spot for Darius and Liam, Asher makes me tingly and Roman has held my heart from the beginning now it aches for him! Emilio is the sweetest of the bunch! Grey is one lucky B****! I’m dying for the last book! Things are about to get Crazy good!
Another great book from Sarah in this series. Where Grey has had so much heartache in the previous books, things begin to look up for her slightly. She has Asher and Emilio back. She is still unable to touch Ronan and Darius is still without memories but they are coming back to home. Liam isn’t in this book as much as before because of how the storyline is playing out but when he does show up in the material plane, I was super excited.
We find one of Haley and Grey’s missing sisters and learn about the current situation with the remaining sister and the mother. The ongoing fight and upcoming war still seems like impossible odds for Grey and her rebels but with that ending, the tides may change in her favor.
Just like the other books in this series, there is creative world building, dramatic and intriguing plot line, and strong character development. The story flows well together and never seems choppy or incomplete. There aren’t any plot holes or errors that I have noticed and very few grammatical errors.
Overall, this has been a fantastic book that I highly recommend to lovers of paranormal RH novels with a few steamy scenes and lots of drama and action.
Gray has proven rules are meant to be broken. She will defy the natural order if it means saving or protecting one of her men. Consequences be damned. She will keep her family together no matter what. One day there will be a price to pay but since someone sold her soul years ago, she’s willing to take any chance to save today.
One of your mates is seriously injured and you are awaiting word on his fate; might as well have sex. You are getting ready to invade the enemy stronghold and launch a dangerous rescue mission; great time to have a serious, heartfelt discussion. There is no sense of appropriate timing in this series. The author has made several missteps with this series and it’s reflected by the drop in reviews for each book. It is dragging. It’s a shame because it’s a good premise with interesting characters and wonderful side characters. But it becomes muddled and saddled with too much negative. I realize the group will ultimately win but it doesn’t hurt to have a small victory along the way. These characters have given up too much. I am not thrilled with Gray’s big decision. I loved the idea of a powerful witch leading the way. Oh well, at least the ‘rebels’ are all back together and in one piece. And the end is in sight.
I waited till the last book in the series to write the review as I wanted to give it a chance to develop as a story.
I appreciated the diversity between characters and the fact it didn't follow the trendy norm of so many other RH books I've read. The love story that took 5 books to fully develop as well as the brother sister bond spread across multiple characters added a good element to the story and kept me reading and intrigued.
Set across a more modern time in the bay area, but not relying on all the modern electronics to manifest the story, still gave it a nice old fashioned feel. The race diversity was a good switch from everyone, though they are spread across the world, seeming to all be the same person. I liked the blending personalities each brought to the table.
The other element that caught my attention was the fact that the main characters weren't invincible. The reality that friends and foe alike could all die at any time made it less boring for me.
Would recommend and would read again.

“I want a guarantee.” “You don’t get one. Not in this life. Not for anything. You get hope. And when you do, you fucking take it, because hope is as precious a gift as anyone can offer.”
Omg this series….
Normally I would review books as I go, but I devoured this series so quickly it became one book to me 😂🙈
If you love a kick-ass heroine, several swoon worthy supernatural men, and an end of the world story line, then this is the series for you!
Grey is a great main character, she has all the sass and passion you need, yes she makes some questionable decisions, but does that stop you loving her? Not at all.
The guys are amazing 🥵 the smut is on point!
If you need a smutty, binge read then this is the one!
Plot - 4/5 Character Development - 4/5 Pacing - 4/5 Escapism Factor - 4/5 Emotional Connection - 4/5 Smut -🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This book was everything I needed. Especially after how book 4 ended. I felt like I waited a lifetime for this book to come out, so I could see how the story progressed, and it was worth the wait! This booked pulled every emotion out in me. I caught myself yelling at the author, crying with Gray, and feeling the genuine love between her and the guys. With RH books I usually find that I take a liking to one or two of the guys over the others. However, in this series I just can’t pick a favorite. They all have their own personalities that bring out their personal charm and give Gray something different that she needs. I’m not ready for it but I can’t wait to see how this story ends!
Sarah Piper creates characters that you fall in love with. You cry, you laugh, and you stop breathing in the most serious of moments with them. I was new to the reverse harem books when I stumbled upon her books and I have to say, the way they each come together at their own pace is one thing I love. It’s not the super cheesy everyone falls in love moments after meeting, it’s through trials and tribulations that they form a bond worth having. The way she writes the flowing connections between gray and her rebels or the other people she meets... it’s that that sets Sarah pipers books apart. I can’t wait until the next one (it’s already on my calendar with alarm ready to go). =)
Series just keeps getting better!!! You have to read it!!!
Wow what an ending!!! I was sort of hoping for this outcome! Finally everything is coming together. Gray has got all her men and a loophole to the deal with Sebastian by the looks of it. man he’s gonna be pissed. I was still hoping for a little witch happy ending to this series but not sure it’ll happen now. Still hoping though! I can’t wait to read the final installment. I’m still curious if what Liam saw of Gray and Johnathon will come to pass or not. It’s my firm belief the last time she saw him he’s obviously still loves her. I’m hoping for a positive turn out. And Orendiel and Phillipe need to die and possibly Grays mom seriously.
Loved the first three. 4th one dragged a bit. With this one, I just got so annoyed with Grey. They had just rescued 23 witches from weeks of captivity, then spent over half an hour in the bathroom, using up tons of hot water in order to have shower sex. OK, I know she was in shock and all and needed to bring herself back to reality by reconnecting with one of her men, but couldn't she move it to the bedroom. I just kept thinking of those poor women who hadn't had a shower in weeks (or possibly months), waiting to get in the bathroom.
It got better, and the ending was good, but there was way too much internal drama which I found dragged the story a bit.
Emilio has been killed and Gray will do whatever it takes to bring him back. What’s the point of being shadowborn if she can’t save the men she loves!? Especially one that makes a mean brownie. Gray has broken every natural rule and stops at nothing to get the piece of her soul back, Emilio. But even with Darius still not having his memories and Emilio dead, Gray finds a light at the end of the tunnel. Which if you paid attention during the previous 4 books, you won’t be disappointed. The next book is the last, and I have a feeling it will be the epic finale this amazing series deserves.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oh this book really took me through all of the emotions, mostly angst, fear, pure denial and disbelief.. but along with that a whole lot of love, bravery, forgiveness and determination, it had it all!
My heart was in my throat more than once and I sighed in pure relief. There were more twists, turns and secrets revealed. Just when I thought Sarah Piper couldn’t make this plot better, she did by adding another layer to this story and to these characters.
Once again that ending.. so relieved I can go get the next book, I can’t believe it’s the last!
The tides need to change and the good guys need to win. All the characters deserve to have the happy ending. Liam deserve to be Death again and help Gray fix everything…
Love ❤️ , love ❤️🔥 this book! Everything it's finally coming together for Grey ~ her powers, her relationships, and her purpose in life. She's grown so much since the beginning of this series. But so has all the other characters!!
This has been a fantastic book that I highly recommend to lovers of paranormal RH novels with only a few steamy scenes and lots of drama and action.
This book is everything and more. Picking up where book 4 left off, you’re propelled straight back into the action and emotions. It will have you crying, laughing, with all the emotions seen in previous books. This, once again, cements the reader’s investment in these characters and what happens to them.
There are questions answered and lots more that come to the forefront. The scenes with Gray and her hot as hell Rebels, (cold shower may be needed) are, well, HOT!
This book does nothing but leave you wanting more and sets the scene for what is sure to be the most amazing finale.
Okay well This book redeemed the flaws from book 3 !! damn i am even blusing and the plot lines are good the next book is the last one i think this could have easily be a longer series with devil deals death jobs but I'm curiuos to read what sarah piper decided to do with all these plot line possibilities. The ending was just as the others a cliffhanger and i hate those so luckily most serie i read are already finished so i can continue the story. But it was elpicly bold also i will never look at a small walk in closet the same
Another awesome installment of Gray's story and getting closer to the end (I think). We get to learn more about Gray's sisters and her Mother, who tried to drown all four of them when they were young. Looking forward to the next book in the series to see what is going to happen.

This book kept me gripped from the start that I didn't even realise I had come to the end at such a cliff hanger which has built up such a want for the next book. With a need to know the outcome!!! Gray ends the book with all her men with her showing there love and support. In a twist you don't see coming.
100% a must read book along with the rest of the series.
She is making me wait until April to find out what happens?! Like are you ok?
So I sat here and counted down the days until this release came out. Totally worth it! Especially as my favourite thing in the world is vampires! Like vampires and powers. That’s my ultimate goal in life!
And nooooow! I have to wait technically 2 months to find out what happens?! Unacceptable!
This has been a great series with all kinds of supernaturals, I love a book that can blend them all together and still make sense. Death Untold really spiced up the heat, VERY Sexy love scenes that made me want to take a cold shower, it was not overpowered with sex, it had just the right amount. Some big twists n turns and some OH Shit moments as well. I'm super happy the next one comes out so soon!!!!
I really enjoyed this penultimate installment to this series. It was funny, adventurous, kinda teary, steamy, and the plot certainly thickens. I about melted in a gooey puddle when the closet scene happen and also the fact that D is getting his memories back, cause I honestly love the vampire. We learn more about the prophecy of the four sisters and some crazy stuff gets reveal. So go read this now!
There is so much going on in this book it leaves you on a emotional rollercoaster. Every time she has a minute something else gets thrown at them every decision they make ends up with some kind of consequence and you find out so much more of the history and what is really going on in this book at leaves you shocked and wanting more I truly cannot wait to find out what happens in the final book I really wish I had it in my hand today.
Of all the ideas that fluttered through my mind on how Gray could weather the war... I did not see that as even a remote possibility. Honestly, I don't like it. I had so many ideas on it, but it seems as awesome and powerful Gray is, she is just a pawn. Not a leader, and not a force to be reckoned with. Maybe this change of her will make her that way? But it was wholly unexpected.
An Explosive Read!!💥 (Read using Kindle Unlimited)
This book has some huge shocks, they were dispersed pretty much from start to finish! Either in terms of consequences or in revelations, each is emotive in there own ways!!😳
The steam factor is raised to full on fires in this edition!!🔥🎉🔥 Its yummy, touching & for poor Ronan, frustrating!🙈🔥 Gray makes some big decisions regarding their future 😱
I'm definitely not ready to get off this wild ride! You can't help but root for Gray and her men to finally get their HEA,they've made it this far but there's one last showdown for the witches and the other supernaturals fighting against the Dark winter fae and the evil hunters. Between all the betrayal, lies and hurt Gray and her Rebels find a love worth fighting for.
Ok, so thankfully this book didn't leave me emotionally devastated like the last one. Death Untold continues the story of Gray and her rebels and things definitely heat up (I will never look at a closet the same way again!). Still so many questions left unanswered and I am not so patiently waiting for the next installment
