DC Grace is a Paranormal/Fantasy author. The Conjuror Chronicles will be her third book series. The story takes place in New Orleans, and features magical people known as Conjurors. Sticking to the rich, French roots of the three-hundred-year-old city, readers will be introduced to supernaturals from French lore they haven’t experienced before, such as the dame blanche and the woodwose. Book one is The Before.
DC’s best-selling Amethyst Dragon series has the distinction of being one of the first series published in the New Adult genre. It introduces its readers to a whole new brand of creature, called the Dragon Fae. Harkening back to the legends of Avalon and Camelot, the series invites you to take a walk back in time, while still being firmly rooted in present day. Book one, Dragon Wings, won best travel read of 2013.
Ms. Grace is also the author of the YA series, The Guardians. With the release of The Sacred Oath in 2010, this series was her first foray into the world of publishing.
DC Grace has been fascinated with all things supernatural since childhood. She is well studied in all aspects of Native American culture, as well as early Pagan and Celtic histories and cultural practices. She's also a lover of music, faery balls, and John Hughes films. New Orleans is her favorite city in the world.
Miss Grace lives just outside Louisville, KY. She shares a home with her husband, one of three daughters still at home, a crazy kitty and a neurotic Chihuahua. She considers herself lucky they let her live with them.
And yes, she does believe in magic...

This was a fun para-normal YA book that I found I couldn't put down and ended up reading it all in one sitting. The characters are really likable and make you want things to work out right for them. There is romance but not a lot of gratuitous sex like so many books on the market lately. D.C. Grace wrote a great book for young readers (and young of heart) of the genre to enjoy.

Intriguing from the very first page. The chapters are intense and enthralling and before you know it you are done. DC Grace has created a world within a world where magic looms bright and dark. Where teenagers are being kidnapped but nothing is as it seems.

Sunni is running from her joke of her life. On her journey to New Orleans she meets Josey who helps breathe life back in to her. As their friendship grows they unwittingly stumbles upon a world they never knew existed and Sunni realizes it is her world and she is part of. I quickly developed strong feelings for each of the characters from love to hate. There is so much drama, excitement, mystery and DC makes all the places come alive. You forget that you are just reading a story but become part of it!

If you really want to experience this story to its fullest, download the playlist songs and listen as you read! AMAZING!

I have been following this author’s work for a very long time and I have never been disappointed with the words that come off the pages of her stories and this story is no different!! DC Grace has brought forth a new and magnificent world that I found has taken my heart, crushed it and repeatedly thrown it back into my chest, but in a good way.

The characters were phenomenal. The way each character was weaved into the story was amazing. The background to each character kept me wanting to read more and how each character was connected in some way made this this story that much more incredible. I felt a real connection with these characters and their emotions became my emotions. It was that real within the pages of this book.

The story-line was amazing. The author made me laugh, smile, and snot cry throughout this entire story. The feelers in the book just poured out as I continued to read it and I became very addicted to the story. The scenes just flowed as if it was a movie within my head. I am completely and utterly in love with this story and of course there is a piece of my heart and soul that has been left within these magical pages. I highly recommend this read!!

The Before is the first book by author D.C. Grace that I have read. At first, I was unsure of how I felt about the fact the author wrote the story from several characters points of view. I was concerned that there would be no mystery since the reader saw so many sides to the story at once. Thankfully, that was not the case. Each of the dynamic characters had something to contribute and added depth and surprises to the story.

The Before was a fast-paced thrill ride with murder, mystery, lust, and love. It evoked all the feels. I laughed. I cried. I shook my fist in the air. It brought out a lot of emotion.

I look forward to reading other books by this author.
