Double-crossed.
Imprisoned.
Fighting for their lives.

For the Jarheads of Oberon, it's just another Tuesday.

But when an old foe reveals that the world is on the brink of a final world war, Quinn realizes they have to accept an impossible mission from someone he can't trust, to find the one person who can possibly stop the evil schemes of Morley Drake and unite the world against the coming alien invasion. But who can he trust when everyone is looking out for themselves?

Meanwhile, Chelsea's mind is slowly being poisoned by her father, and it's up to her friends to navigate the unreal world of cortical reality and save her - and themselves - from a fate worse than attenuation. And all the while, the newly evolved Kergan is closing in on the ultimate weapon that will allow him to create a new interstellar empire on his own - starting with Earth.

Your favorite hard-luck heroes, the Jarheads of Oberon, are back in action in this fourth book that brings the first cycle of the Fugitive Marines saga to its amazing conclusion!

This series started okay, quickly shifted to bad, and "ended" with terrible. It's not truly the end. There are more books to read, if you enjoy the same story told four times. It's becoming a Spider-man and J. Jonah Jameson situation. The marines gets framed, breakout, save the day, get framed again. Nobody questions the formula. This book didn't even have the series villain, Kergan in it! You couldn't pay me to keep reading this story. It took all the worst tropes (for me) and recycled them endlessly. In my mind, the Gestalt came through the wormhole and nuked the entire planet Death Star style. This happened literally seconds after Quinn and Chelsea somewhat admitted their love for each other on a yacht. There was such a promising premise, but the authors chose to keep telling the first act ad nauseum. I'm out.

The next page-turner in this amazing series. The Jarheads are back in prison and escape with the help of an unexpected ally. Now it's time to clean up on earth before even being able to face the thread of the alien invasion that's coming. I'm eagerly waiting for the next book

Great series

This is an example of the kind of book you don’t want to put down. Once you start, you don’t stop til it’s finished. Love the story line and always love badass Marines and the characters that are along with them in this ride.

Battles of every kind

Both in the physical and mental as the Jarheads work to get out from Drake and the prison he has put them in and Chelsea whose own father will stop at nothing to brainwash her into being his puppet
