The Dragon Knight #5

The Dragon Knight and the Light

Rate this book
Losing the power to summon his fire-breathing ally, Mercer Eberwolf and his devoted companions must find a way to battle a life-draining enemy who are only becoming stronger and brasher. More allies must be gained, but until traitorous intent is purged from within an empire, it will be a guarded, slow affair.
Soon separated from those who care about him, the desolate dragon knight becomes susceptible to an outsider’s influence, her ever tempting allure of corruption calling to him. For her part, the crystal light of Odet Astor creeps toward purity, but unless she can call forth her family’s divine defender in time, her friend will see no need to resist the ravening darkness.

I don’t know what to say about this book. I mostly enjoyed it, as I have the whole series. There seems to be a bit of a disconnect or something going on. Not a lot of feelings at all from the characters. And I really don’t know what to think about an author that has no idea how to use the word “lied” , like at all. I mean seriously, drives me bonkers every single time. I almost rolled my eyes at the epilogue. Not sure if I can continue with this series. Took so long for this one, and nothing really moving forward.
