RPG World Building for Beginners

Rate this book
This is a guide for new players that want to create their own RPG game and/or story (module). With illustrations, example adventures, glossaries, and simple to understand instructions, Justin Sirois tells you how to run a tabletop game, create compelling characters, and a relatable plot. This book is focused on fantasy, but it can be adapted to any genre.

The book uses a system called D-Low which only uses 3 six-sided dice. All you will need to write and play are commonly found dice, a pencil, and paper. And, like any good writer, a big eraser.

Justin Sirois is a game creator and an Amazon Kindle Scout winner and a five-time Maryland State Arts Council grant recipient. He has written seven novels and owns Severed Books.

Great for Beginners

Mr. Sirois has a very frank style of writing and adds detail only where needed. This was a very quick read and seems to be written for the absolute beginner. The author includes a fully fleshed out game system in the first half, so the reader can run a game from this book without purchasing expensive RPG materials.
