Obsessive to the max

My first book by this author, and while I'm rating it 3.5 stars, it was a little weird.

This guy was Hannibal Lecter. Strange, intelligent, rich, and a touch creepy. But I'm going to confess that my screwed up mind found this guy utterly fascinating.

If you're into obsessed guys, baby-making banging and double virgins, then read this!

I only made it to 26% in this book so I didn’t feel right giving it a star rating. I got a severe case of deja vu a few pages in while reading about the bras hanging from the rafters. Sergey Smirnov has a degree in Chemistry from Moscow State University and that has lead to his multi-billion dollar business making perfumes that are sold around the world. There were several things about this book that made me say ; “That’s it, I’m done”. This guy has such a strong sense of smell that he can smell this chick across a crowded bar ? One minute they’re in a bar, he’s drinking, she leaves after he beats up three dudes who are saying crude shit about her, she runs out and is late for class. When she gets to her class he’s the guest lecturer. Was this supposed to be the next day ? Or was he drinking vodka before lecturing a class ? Again her scent is so unique that he smells her in the lecture hall without seeing her. He states that his sense of smell is more acute than anyone on the planet and that it’s a certified fact. They tested everyone on the planet ? He’s 31 years old and not only is he a virgin but he’s also never jerked off. The only release he gets are during his “wet dreams”. And I’m done.

Look there are two types of garbage: The kind that’s a guilty pleasure and ridiculous but enjoyable for the ride, then there is garbage that takes itself too seriously and written so amateurish you wonder how you are supposed to like anyone in the book or if this is a parody of reality.

Well this book does not fall 100% into the second category but it is sadly far from the first.

Honestly I should have known better but I’m just REALLY on the hunt for some quality garbage ok? Don’t judge me 🥴.

Sergey, 31 and a billionaire chemist, falls for 18 year old Anya who is an American chemistry student in Moscow to study, when he sees her in a bar. Now he has a very keen sense of smell and he can actually smell her allure. But when four thugs start making rude comments about her he sees RED and fights for her honour. Much to her dismay she runs and he is distraught that he's lost her - or at least he thinks so. But the next day he senses her again and there she is in a lecture theatre. She recognises him again and makes a run for it but leaves a clue for him to find her. This is a well written short, lustful story by Flora Ferrari that I read in one go as I couldn't bear to put it down. It was so easy to see how Sergey and Anya 'fitted' together like two pieces of a puzzle that was unique to them. This is a fast paced read that may well have you reaching to switch on your fan/ac to set to MAX COOL. There is so much chemistry between these two chemists that it should be outlawed! A perfect red hot read that I thoroughly enjoyed and look forward to more from Flora. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Sergey and Anya. Anya has come to Russia to do a study abroad program. She never planned on a Russian man scaring her on one of her first days there. While in a cafe she notices some men talking about her but because she doesn't speak Russian she doesn't understand. Sergey does and is making sure no one talks to his woman like that again. During the scuffle though Anya runs. Sergey will do anything to find her little did he know she would walk into the lecture hall he was guest speaking at. He will now do anything to find her. Can he prove his is her HEA or will her first scare from him make her scared to believe him?

This is an amazing book about love and commitment. This book does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Sergey is attracted to Anya the minute she walks into the bar. Her scent entices him and when he overhears some men talking about her Sergey takes care of the, Anya slips out of the bar when the fighting starts and ends up distracted and misses her stop making her later getting home than she planned. The next day when she tries to slip into class unnoticed but Sergey immediately recognizes her from her scent alone. Embarrassed she leaves class but Sergey is determined to find her and starts his search from his class list. When he does finally get to her the attracted between them is so strong the room around them is electrifying. Will Anya give in to this possessive alpha? Can Sergey convince Anya to give him a chance?

This is a steamy hot story that will draw you in from beginning to end. The chemistry between them sizzles with each turn of the page. This is a well written and very entertaining book. I would recommend it to any book lover.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the older man/ younger woman romance between Sergey and Anya. Anya goes to Russia to study chemistry and one night when she is in a bar, she captures the attention of Sergey. Sergey is a billionaire businessman who made most of his fortune making perfumes relying on his acute sense of smell and being able to recreate any scent. When Sergey sees Anya, he knows she is meant to be his. When Sergey overhears men talking about Anya, he defends her honor, but Anya flees before Sergey can talk to her. Sergey wants to find her, but she has already gone. When Anya goes to class, she is shocked to see Sergey is the guest lecturer and he tries to get to her, but again she leaves, but she forgot her scarf. Sergey uses his influence to find Anya. This time, Sergey isn't letting Anya get away. i loved this story. I really loved how protective Sergey was and the lengths he went to in order to protect Anya. They had an instant love and an amazing connection. Another great one from Flora.

Sergei was out drinking in a bar until he smelled the perfect scent. He looked up to find a beautiful foreign tourist. Then he hears some other men saying disrespectful things about her in the bar. He beats them up to protect the honor of his future wife. When he goes to talk to her, he finds that she snuck out of the bar but he is determined to see her again. Later he is giving a presentation in front of a college class he scents her again. When he starts to chase her, she panics and flees, leaving Sergei more determined to discover who she is. Luckily this time she leaves a clue behind, he favorite scarf. He is able to track Anya down and convince her to go out with him
Anya is a foreign exchange student from American and she is confused about her feelings for Sergei. His passion and violence scare her but also draws her. Can she get the courage to see where his passion will take her?

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. Loved this story about Sergey and Anya. She's an American studying abroad in Russia, he's a famous chemist/fragrance designer. He sees her sitting at a local pub, but hears some nasty comments about her. He comes to get rescue but doesn't know who she is. But can't get her scent out of his head. So image his surprise when he smells her in a class he is teaching? She freaks a little running before he can get to her. Finding she left her scarf, Sergey tries to recreate the scent but can't. Finding out who she is becomes his only goal. Things heat up between the two of them once he saves her again, this time from an attempted murder. Great chemistry and characters. Quick read that is worth it.

Loved it

Anya is in Moscow to study chemistry. Sergey is a billionaire chemist who made his fortune in perfume. He sees her in a local bar and can't take his eyes off of her. When he is involved in an altercation she slips slips away.
Anya is both terrified and attracted to the big man who was staring at her in the bar. She kicks herself for running.
Sergey can't a the girl from the bar out of his head. When he spied her in his class she slips away, Like Cinderella she left away.to find her behind. When the finally meet faced to face they are drawn together. Sergey is going to make Anya his.
A dramatic first date. A steamy first time together. A sweet proposal. A great epilogue wrap up their story.
I love Flora's books. They are an automatic buy for me. I know I will get a great story.

Russian’s obsession is short, fast paced and entertaining. I read this book within half an hour and was satisfied throughout. This book is definitely one of my favourite stories by Flora Ferrari. I would go as far as saying that Sergey is my favourite hero so far. I love how obsessed he was with Anya and how determined he was to find her and get her to be he was. I loved his job. He could scent Anya from across an auditorium that was impressive. I liked Anya. She was wary and ran at first but she soon gave in. She wanted Sergey and chose to give him a chance.
The chemistry between Sergey and Anya was undeniable as was their passion for one another. I liked them as a couple and loved how protective and possessive Sergey was of Anya.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read.

As always a very well written short story with great storyline and plot. Flora Ferrari delivers every time.
The characters are well described and they develop nicely through the story. Both likeable.
A story with instant attraction and affection. A very protective and possessive alpha male. She is a bit surprised about this protectiveness but also attracted to it. She is innocent but curious about him. She allows her thoughts to secretely want him but will he come for her? What will their surrounding friends and family say?
I like the mix of drama, passion, sexyness, steamy scenes and bit of taboo. She is a student and he is a chemist. A lot of emotions, thinking, wanting, twists and romance makes this a captivating read. It is a quick and easy read but absolutely worth it.

Loved this

Brilliant Sergey sees Anya first at a club but she gets away before he can speak to her but he remembers her smell. Sergey has heightened sense of smell that’s why he can smell her and when Anya creeps into her class at uni Sergey turns around to find her but she slips out with all the students Sergey will find her. Anya slips away from Sergey but he finds her as she comes out of uni he is already possessive with her so when he finds Anya walking out with one of her male class mates he goes into his alpha mode and chases the poor lad away. Now Sergey has Anya he isn’t going to let her go he needs to make her his now and forever Anya loves Sergey’s alpha male protective and possessive side she feels safe and loved.

A hit for this series of hits and misses. I love an obsessed Russian. Especially when the author doesn’t make him speak like a stereotypical Russian. He was fiercely possessive and protective and frankly, kind of a badass for a perfume tycoon. This series tends to make these crazy alpha males virgins and this book is no exception. I mean this guy has literally had one orgasm in his life before he gets with Anya. I’m still not sure if it’s creepy or sweet but it’s certainly unrealistic. But I guess you don’t expect realism when you’re reading an insta love novella. This is one of the books from this series that gets my approval. This book was way too OTT and unrealistic, I normally like Floras books but this one didn’t do it for me, wanted to DNF but pushed through since it was just over 100 pages

Russian's Obsession by Flora Ferrari makes you feel good in all the right places. Anya is in Russia to study chemistry for a semester at the university. Sergey first sees Anya when she is harassed by a some guys. Sergey easily takes down all four guys but the violence causes Anya to run. However, Sergey will not give up. Sergey is also a chemist and he owns the largest perfume manufacturer in the world. Now that he caught her scent, he is obsessed. Anya is the "one" he has waited for. And Anya is quickly becoming just as addicted to him as well. If you love an older, OTT possessive alpha who will love and protect his woman, this is definitely the book for you.

A Fantastic Read! This book is another work of art in the form of a novel from Flora Ferrari – everything is described so beautifully. From start to finish I was captivated with the overall quality of this book, the wonderful story line with some drama, intrigue and very interesting characters. The writing is fluid, it is fast-paced and can be read in one sitting – which I guarantee you will do because once you start reading you will not put it down until the end. I can’t wait to read more from this author – A MUST READ!!

This story is similar to the other ones in this series that I have read previously. There is always some language errors or typos, mostly words whith two meanings or very similar spelling and as it is a recurring thing I really would suggest better editing!!! Otherwise a fun story to read. Short, to the point, no extras and just enough meat on the bones so that it doesn´t appear really bare. But I had a good time reading it and that is the point for me at least.

This author has produced yet another kindle-melting, panty-dropping quick read to delight us. Her books are all fabulous in their own right & this one just adds to it.

Sergey is the alpha male in this read & boy is he obsessed! Anya is the sweet & innocent college student that he has his sights squarely set on & he won't stop until she is his. It's a powerful & steamy, yet sweet story that will melt your heart.

I wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone - It's a superb book.

Wow! Talk about obsession on frist whiff...I think he found her to fast ;) with that being said, I loved the male alpha of this book. Loved how in-love they both are. So, totally recommend the Russians Obsession, yes, it does it does have HEA. Only downfall I have is that the book ended much too soon for me.

I really enjoyed Anya and Sergey's story. Both of them knew what they wanted from the start. I liked how Anya didn't make it easy for him and he had to figure out a way to locate her. This was a sweet read filled with hot and steamy times with the two. Enjoyed how he wanted to help her reach her goals and was willing to go the extra mile to do so. A well written book with a great HEA!

I absolutely freaking loved this newest story written by the amazing author, Flora Ferrari! She really blew the top off this joint with this sexy, hot, passionate, safe read! I recommend anyone who loves their heroes, ALPHA, VERY POSSESSIVE AND VERY PROTECTIVE with their one and only ;) This was truly one of the greatest stories that this author has written so far and I can't wait for the next story because I bet it's going to be amazing as always :)
