Holy moly. I totally loved this book. As a blogger I sometimes get caught up in the same kinda books. Not with this story. I thought the author brought a uniqueness to the storyline that I totally loved.

Drake is a famous singer. Girls he sees at concerts are disappearing. Toris first FBI assignment is to pretend she is close to Drake so she can catch the killer. Although their relationship is fake the chemistry between these two is off the charts hot.

This book has some really hot panty melting scenes. The suspense had me sitting on the edge of my seat. Although this is part of a series it can be read as a standalone. But seriously you don't want to miss out on the other brothers in this series. Fabulous read.

Hotness Rating 5 out of 5

My first 5 star read of 2015. This book is amazing!

Shameless is the 3rd and final book of the Black Brothers Trilogy by Brynley Bush. *Cue the crying and feelings of loss* I really thought I was a fan after the first two books. I really, really liked them. Shameless blew them away. Imagine my surprise. I seriously didn't think the singing cowboy brother would be my favorite. After all he couldn't stack up to the uber dominant physician brother or the hot-as-hell Navy SEAL brother, right? Wrong! Drake Maddox is every bit as sexy and alpha as his brothers, but he's so much more.

Drake Maddox is the country music singer that causes women's panties to melt just by flashing that sexy bad-boy smile their way. However, being a fan of Drake's is becoming dangerous lately. Several women have disappeared or have been found dead after his concerts. He refuses to risk the life of his fans and will agree to anything to find the killer even if it means working with the FBI.

Victoria Raine has always done what would make her dad proud. But, there just came a time when she had to put herself first and that was when she decided to sign up for the FBI. Single. Best. Decision. Ever. She's finished her training and excelled. Now, she just has to prove herself to her superiors and she's just been handed the perfect opportunity. Playing the new girlfriend of country star Drake Maddox is the dream job. For most people it would be. In Victoria's case it's just another day at the office. She doesn't even follow Drake's career, but a quick Google search gave her more than enough information about his music and his sexual practices.

It doesn't take long for Victoria to realize that she needs Drake as much as he needs her if she is going to keep her job and prove to herself and her dad that she made the right decision. In a hail Mary attempt she throws herself at Drake's mercy practically begging him to teach her to be the kind of woman that he usually goes for that way she can be a convincing girlfriend.

Wow, the sparks that fly when this couple gets going are explosive. Drake's reputation may be a little inflated, but when he decides to live up to said reputation he jumps in with both feet. He's a natural. His dominance is off-the-charts sexy. Victoria never could have imagined that being a sub could do it for her in such a big way. Or maybe it's just Drake. Either way her life will never be the same.

This book is smart, sexy, fun, smoking hot and so bittersweet since it's all over now. I highly recommend this series and can not wait for more hot stories from this amazing author.

This one is my favorite out of the series Drake he's a naughty boy that doesn't care what others think about him, "last night you kissed me like you wanted me to eff you senseless, and today you brush me off like you can barely stand for me to touch you." He likes to shop for his woman's underthings, nothing weird in that, except the boy won't be surprised with what's on underneath his woman's clothes, "he runs his hand possessively over my butt and gives it a squeeze. "Something that showcases her hot little a** but still leaves a little to the imagination." He likes to have his girl close, "he pats the seat next to him and I slide across the bench until my hip is pressed next to his. He smiles at me, deliberately placing his hand on my bare thigh. "That's better," he drawls with satisfaction." He's a possessive S.O.B he doesn't want others to have what's his, "I wouldn't have traded a second of your submission for all the money and fame in the world," he says gruffly. "I'm not about to let another man take what's mine." I enjoyed this book, I loved Drake I couldn't ask for more.

This is the third and final installment in this series and boy was it an a-maz-ing three books. Each book centers on a continued story through out, but each book is also about each brother and finding love. The Black brothers are a trio of hot, alpha, dominant bad ass men, who love hard and strong with each other, family and the strong feisty independent women they fall for. This is a very interesting and unigue story rolled into the best romantic, erotic, slightly suspenseful read I have found in a long time.
These three books have everything I enjoy about reading.
Romance- 5 stars
Superior story- 5 stars
Erotic sexy time- 5 + stars
Continued characters- 5stars
HEA- 5 stars
No cliffhanger just continuation of an amazing story of the Black family.
Highly recommend reading, I can not stress enough how great these books are and how sad you'll be if you never experience them.. one click buy all three!

I was gifted a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

“It’s like I wished on a star and found out he holds the constellations in his hands.”
Mmm...those utterly delicious Black brothers are back! Brynley Bush has done it again! I loved Matchless and Fearless, but I do believe that Drake Maddox sang me a love song and stole my heart!

“I may look sweet and innocent, but I’m an FBI agent. I’m a card carrying badass.”

Tori is a new agent and has many hopes and aspirations of moving up in ranks. It is a great surprise to her when she is called for her first undercover job. She is briefed on the fine points of the case and Drake Maddox, the country singer superstar. She will be acting as his love interest to try and expose the person who is threatening him and causing women around him to disappear. She has recently broken up with her longtime boyfriend, Kyle, but has no qualms taking on the assignment of a fake lover, as Kyle was a bit consumed with himself and overlooked her need to thrive in her own career. We are also introduced to Tori’s mentor, Kate, who is strong, capable, and ready to help Tori take on the world.

“That man is hotter than a car in Texas in August.”

Drake Maddox is the country singer superstar that is about to unknowingly overwhelm Tori and take her to places she never imagined. He wants to catch the person who has been trying to manipulate him and has killed and hurt women, but doesn't realize that in the process, he may gain more than he thought possible.

A team is soon assembled and we are whisked away to the home of Drake Maddox where our two main characters first meet. What we observe can’t be explained as love at first sight, but a heavy lust is present. At their first meeting a dialogue is opened to speak and a challenge issued. Brynley Bush then gives us the opportunity get to know each of these characters. Through playful questioning, unabashed flirting, and common talk we find out their loves and losses in life. Sparks fly!! But, there are some games played in life that have impenetrable rules. We find that, according to Tori, this is one of them. Time is everything with a killer on the lose and she won't give up the assignment or Drake. So she begins digging for all things Drake and we can feel her determination to make this case have a positive outcome.

“Despite my assertions that I would be immune to the sensual charm of Drake Maddox and the certain knowledge that he’s the poster child for smart women making bad choices, I have to admit it’s intoxicating being in his arms.”

Welcome to the first turning point in the game. It's clear to see that after an unexpected visit and chat with Tori, Drake is now the master of the game, owns the bank, and controls the dice. He will have her and possess her, even if just for a while. Tori is ready for this challenge in her life and wants to see where the road will take her. We watch as her limits are pushed and lines crossed, but marvel at the pleasure she allows herself to give and receive.

“I want you to make love to me…more than I’ve ever wanted anything before.”

Every taste, lick, suck, nip, kiss, touch, caress and thrust ratchet up the hotness level, until we find ourselves in the midst of a five-alarm fire. Soon, Tori and Drake's escapades are splashed throughout the news. Their desire for one another is tangible and brings us to another level of want and hunger. The glimpse of tenderness we receive from Drake, and the wanton element in Tori is heady. He is her guide into finding herself like never before. And she is his kryptonite, taking the very life from him that he thinks holds him together. Every sexual command he gives her brings more arousal and makes our heartbeats escalate to an unsafe rhythm. But, as surreal as this is, it begs us to question if it is too good to be true. After being able to experience Drake the sex god, we now have a chance to know him as the singer. It is through Tori's eyes that we view his sweet and sexy country voice and the way that he owns the stage. We then find ourselves traveling to Drake's childhood home where we see familiar and endearing faces. At this moment in the story, the game gets even hotter, this time taking us on a journey into the sun.

“Everything I did was supposed to send you running to safety. But then I didn’t want you to run. I wanted you to stay and give me everything. And I wanted to give you everything in return.”

Nearing the end of the story I found myself becoming overly anxious. It was the moment of truth for our county star and FBI butt-kicker. I needed a bag to breathe into and a stiff drink. Tori's sudden clarity in her desire for Drake made me feel excited and all warm and gooey inside. As if I could not have any further visceral reactions, Drake surprises Tori during his show, and zip, just like that, I went from liquid to a vapor, only to be sucked up by the clouds and turned into rain, ruining my happy parade. I can feel ever piece of Tori's shattering heart as it cracks and splinters into pieces. The revisiting of New York City had me in a tailspin and tied me in knots as I wondered when they would finally acknowledge the obvious. Verging on a near panic attack, I listened as Tori learned more facts about Drake and I knew in my knower what was happening Suddenly I had the need to choke someone and bury the body. Coming through the most intense moments of Shameless, my fury was quieted and in its place the most beautiful feeling of bliss.

One of my favorite small elements of the story was when Tori and Drake were talking and she explained the meaning of her tattoo. What a beautiful saying. It was like the vanilla in a cake batter, you could do without it, but adding that special spice made it even better. I also thought that Brynley Bush used ingenious symbolism when Drake and Tori had their five minute war of the wills. What I read in that tug-of-war was the same in their emotional battle with each other. One would tug, then the other, but neither would give in. Other heart-warming moments that bound me to this story were the Tiffany bracelets, Drake's tattoo, and bed-in guitar lessons…just mop me up off the floor. Shameless was the perfect intoxicating mix of infatuation, uncontrollable cravings, desire, transformation, release, and devotion.

One of Tori's thoughts at an exceptionally erotic moment in the book that reflects how I positively lost myself in Shameless…
"Ka-thunk. I'm a goner."

Victoria Raine shook up her sedate, expected life to become an FBI agent. She couldn’t believe she was already going to be the lead in an undercover assignment. Country music star Drake Maddox is being threatened while female fans are going missing. She doesn’t really care for country music, but this city girl is drawn to Drake’s charm right away.

Posing as his girlfriend, Victoria struggles to make things look natural between them in public while privately the chemistry between them is explosive. Drake is not so sure he wants Tori to be in the line of fire but is certainly doing his part as the devoted boyfriend.

“Why are you being so sweet?”
“So you know this side of me, so you remember this when I f*ck you like I’m not.”

This is the final book in the trilogy which focuses on Drake’s story while seeking to answer the lingering questions surrounding a cancer research breakthrough and all the drama that has ensued. The last of the Black brothers to find romance, he and Tori will be key to solving the ongoing issues around his father’s research, as well as getting to the bottom of the current threats Drake faces.

Once again, the author has created a story mixed with equal parts suspense, intrigue, and panty-melting romance. Drake is a dominant, like his brothers, and is coaxing his new ‘girlfriend’ out of her shell to recognize the sensual nature she didn’t realize she had.

The sex scenes are explosive yet the overtones of love and caring, and humor even, make them even more intense. Mix those, again, with intrigue that is getting more dangerous and you have a story that is fast-paced and riveting from beginning to end. I’m sorry to see the trilogy end but the stories and characters will linger… I will be keeping my eye out for more by this author. ~ Diane, 4 stars

This trilogy has really won my heart. These three brothers with such different jobs, but a love for family that surpasses so much more than that. Drake “Maddox” Black has been mentioned in the other two books, but this book is all about him. He’s a country music superstar who I imagine to be like Brantley Gilbert.

Victoria Raine is an FBI agent with about six months on the job. She graduated top of her class and is beautiful to boot. She’s excited about her first undercover assignment despite not knowing anything about her new boyfriend.

This story starts with drama and kept me on the edge of my seat while reading. One of my favorite things that doesn’t always happen in books, is having a great best friend. Kate is Tori’s best friend and colleague and this one line in the book was all I needed to really fall in love with her:

“Whatever you did with that man, no matter how depraved or shameless, is perfectly justifiable,” Kate breathes. “God, he’s sexy.”

I read this trilogy back to back and that could be why it felt a little repetitive in this book. Drake is a lot like his brothers in that he likes total control - in and out of the bedroom. He does take it a step further than the others, but it’s still AlphaMale at it’s best.

The author does a great job of using words to really help me visualize and enjoy the relationship as much as Drake and Tori are:

We’re an island of two in a sea of dancers, and I can feel the heat radiate off his skin, the hardness of his body next to mine.

It’s like I wished on a star and found out he holds the constellations in his hands.

I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys Alpha males and just enough action to keep you reading. And the sex scenes are pretty hot, too.

Review of Shameless (Black Brothers Trilogy # 3) by Brynley Bush

Review done for Hooked on Books

4 ½ out of 5 stars

Victoria Raine has always tried to make her father happy. She did well in school and even dated the right men.

Now she has decided that she is going to live her life how she wants. She becomes an FBI agent.

Her first undercover assignment is to pretend to be the girlfriend of a famous country singer, Drake Maddox. Tori is sure this is her chance to prove herself to everyone and she won’t let anything stand in her way.

Unfortunately, this is easier said than done because her biggest obstacle is Drake, the super hot, gorgeous sex god.

Drake doesn’t do relationships, but when the gorgeous and feisty FBI agent assigned to his case shows up, his plans are going to change.

Drake is another Black brother who is domineering and bossy in the bedroom and out.

Tori is swept up in the pleasure that Drake gives her and she is quickly falling for him, making her job a whole lot more difficult.

I loved this book! It continues on with the story of the Black family. The author does an excellent job of changing up the plot in each book. Each brother is unique but their stories are intertwined.

This is definitely one of the best series I have read and I recommend them all to read! You will not be disappointed!

Would Have Been 5 Stars But For a Few Niggles

::4-1/2 Stars:: This One’s about Beckett’s and Griffin Black’s youngest brother, Country Rock Music Star Drake Maddox (he took their mother’s maiden name as his stage name). When an apparent deranged fan starts sending threatening letters, then kidnapping & killing some of his female fans, the FBI sets up a sting to capture the perpetrator using newly-minted Agent Victoria Raines. Tori, as she comes to be called, is to pose as Drake’s new girlfriend, in the hopes of flushing the perp out and capturing her/him. There's an immediate sizzle between Victoria and Drake, which she is at first ruthlessly determined to stop, not wanting to behave unprofessionally.

I know the professional woman fighting her powerful attraction to a man is a trope largely because of how it can destroy her career and life in the real world, but...again?

Ex-Navy SEAL Griffin, running Drake’s security, immediately objects believing Tori to be too fresh & vanilla for such an assignment - though Drake makes it clear he wouldn’t mind trying it! Stung by Griffin’s words, Agent Raines starts digging into Drake’s bio so she can understand him better, and almost immediately hits on his avowed love of BDSM. Intrigued, she digs into what this “BDSM” entails...

Hmm - Some of This Sounds Worth Checking Out...

Following a public appearance where Tori behaves as if Drake is a slightly-annoying brother rather than a man she's head-over-heels over, and getting reamed out by her (older male) boss, Tori makes a decision - she shows up at Drake Maddox's doorstep and tells him she wants him to show her how to be a properly submissive lover to him...strictly for the job, you understand!

Well, that's her story - and she's sticking with it!

Drake's terms are a "Total Power Exchange", where she submits to him completely, for 24 hours, and despite being a bit nervous she agrees. He proceeds to use flogging and bondage on her, punishing her when she comes without permission - and far from freaking out over it, she really gets into all of it, and Drake using her as sexually as well as submissively. By the time the 24 hours are up, she's afraid she's falling for the Country Star Bad Boy, and his behavior after she sneaks out while he's asleep (because she's afraid she won't want to go if he's awake and controlling her, you see)

Did you see that coming? I didn't see that coming...

shows us the feeling is mutual. They go out more posing as a couple, with Drake trying out more Dom stuff on Tori, and Tori lapping it up with a spoon - and also starting to behave like she's his real girlfriend even when nobody else is looking. Tori realizes she's fallen in love with Drake, Only to Discover !

It's The Misunderstanding Time! Do we really need this...again...?

The niggles I mention at the top of the review are:

(1) Tori, who starts out as a kind-of uptight "nice girl", sort-of engaged but sort-of not to a future Washington Power Broker because her PR Firm Boss Dad thinks it's good for business, agrees not only to pretend to be Drake's girlfriend, but she throws herself into both sex and submission with him! I'm not saying that can't happen in reality - Gods know plenty of "nice girls" are really truly into being tied up and spanked...or so I've heard, anyway....

but the writing fails to make this completely convincing, especially for a female FBI Agent whose career can be easily derailed by even the rumor of "Conduct Unbecoming a Federal Officer of the Law".

Tori is a total bad-ass even though she doesn't have quite enough self-confidence. She goes undercover to catch a stalker that is tracking Griffin Maddox (who is actually the youngest of the Black brothers. The results are steaming hot sex, a murder, and love. I recommend this one as well as the other two, but it's best to read them in order.

I'm looking forward to more books from this author, related to these or not.

I hate saying goodbye

I wondered if Drake could hold his own. His brothers stories was amazing. He so did. I was hooked on Drake for the first meeting with Tori. Wow this author did a beautiful job on this trilogy. Usually I have a favorite sibling but not this time. They all stole my heart. Not one story was better. They all were incredible. I loved the continuing story line. I wasn't left wanting. All the loose ends were tied up. Great job.

Great sexy reading

I chose five stars because I thoroughly enjoyed Shameless as well as the rest of the Black Brothers Trilogy. Great storyline. You can read them stand alone, but I recommend reading the entire series due to an interconnecting thread. Ms. Bush is a totally new author for me. It was like finding a rare diamond in a gumball machine.

The plot is great, yes there is a plot. I kinda figured who was the villain, but then didn't cause she threw a twist.

The Black Brothers? Well, OMG. HOT. ALPHA. MEN WITH GIGANTIC HEARTS.
The sex is off the charts hawt!, sensual. If this is the kind of books you like to read then I highly recommend.
This is an unsolicited review and I bought the series from Amazon

Title: Shameless
Author: Brynley Bush
Publisher/Year: CreateSpace Publishing 2/13/15
Length: 286 pages
Series: Black Brothers Trilogy #3

Overview

Sheltered good girl Victoria Raine has always wanted to be a little bad. Tired of living life safely on the sidelines, she summons the courage to forge a new path for herself and applies to the FBI, looking for adventure and something to fulfill her vague longing for something...more. She gets more than she bargained for with her first undercover assignment-posing as the girlfriend of country music's bad boy, Drake Maddox, a lone wolf with a reputation for having singularly erotic tastes. Hoping to catch a serial killer that's targeting women close to Drake, Tori's job is to convince the public, and the killer, that she and the wickedly handsome superstar are an item.

Although their relationship is a sham, there's nothing fake about the hidden desires the sexy as sin cowboy awakens in Tori. As the killer draws closer, Tori finds herself falling for the one man she can't have.

My Thoughts

I have been waiting for Drake's bit of the series since he's been interwoven quite a bit on the first 2 books, where we get to see this dark and naughty side of him. Being a youngest brother too - well that means that we're going to get some excitement (as if all the excitement in the series so far wasn't enough).

In this third installment, we are fully immersed in Drake's life on the hunt for the serial killer/stalker who has been hounding him on tour over the past few months. While his brother Griffin, the ex Navy SEAL was working on security to flush out the person who was behind everything, the FBI has now been brought in. Enter Tori - a newly minted FBI agent who doesn't follow the stereotypes of being an agent who blends in. It's not that she's out spoken, she's just above average in the beauty department, which works in the favor of the FBI right now since they need someone to pose as Drake's girlfriend in the hopes that it'll lure the stalker out and she can get him.

Where we go on this journey is one of self discovery for Tori - she's stepping far far outside of everything that she knows and was set up to do. She's chosen a path against her father's wishes and that's something that she fights with all the time since he gave so much to her when her mother died and she had no where to go. The other bit is that her choice to go into the FBI goes against that of her ex boyfriend's wishes, and you know that it will have to come back up during the story some how right? we can't ever have a jilted ex who doesn't seek revenge and trust me, our author writes him back in at the best moment possible.

The dynamic between Tori and Drake is amazing. You see 2 people that understand the job from the very beginning but that immediate spark that they feel is too much for them to really do anything about it. While they may not admit it to themselves, they definitely know that this is more than a job, that their sham relationship is something much much more, but i think that it will take something significant for them to acknowledge it.

If you'll recall in the last book, there was the under lying story line of the grant that was funding the research that Dr Black was doing, and i think that we should all remember that it was never resolved. thats something that i spent quite a bit of time wondering about, since we know that Camille is still out there somewhere and she's out for blood. While it's not an overt part of this story either, it's something that i wonder about all the time - where is she and is she behind grant and what will that mean for the research.

As for everything else, we see that Drake falls in line with his brothers in the fact that he's very Alpha, and he's very dominant, even if he's not at D as his brother(s). There's something hot about a man that likes to take control and push limits, and we see Drake do it with a grace and natural ease that's just so steamy. The scenes with him and Tori - such great chemistry there. You see that there's a connection that's more than just physical - even though it's written so well that you're feeling that heat and passion on every page.

The questions that you wonder throughout the entire book, who's the stalker, what are they going to do next, and when is Tori going to be taken? that's something that i keep wondering about since you know that she's going to slip up on her safety at some point. It's the ever running thought in my mind. I think that we just all want a happy ending for this last piece of the Black trio - so i hope that you guys read through this final installment and see if it happens for him. Enjoy!

Book #3: Black Brothers Trilogy
Source: Purchase
My Rating: 5/5 stars
My Review:

The third and final installment of the Black Brothers Trilogy starts out awesome and doesn’t let up until the very last second. Victoria (Tori) Raine has always done what is expected of her, right up to the moment she applied for the FBI. Drake Maddox has never done what is expected of him, right up to the moment he agreed to have a pretend girlfriend.

As a celebrated country singer, Drake Maddox (aka Drake Black) is a household name and used to a lot of attention. He is on the front of every magazine, he is the topic of all kinds of gossip, and women line up to share his bed. Drake rarely ever refuses a bed partner and if the rumors are to be believed, he is just like his brothers, Beckett and Griffin and likes to be in control of his women. Having a girlfriend has never really been on Drake’s agenda but woman have been disappearing from his concerts and the FBI has a plan.

When Tori is told she is to be Drake Maddox’s girlfriend in order to help catch a killer, she readily accepts the assignment then asks who Drake Maddox is. Her research is eye-opening, her first meeting with Drake is somewhat awkward, and their first “date” is seen by the public as friendly and far from hot. In private, the heat is definitely turned up but Tori realizes she is in way over her head with Drake. His reputation certainly precedes him and if she is going to convince the public she is really Drake’s girlfriend, she is going to need some instruction. Under the guise of it “being for the case,” Tori asks Drake to teach her how to be edgier, more like the girls he usually “dates.” Knowing an opportunity when he sees it, Drake agrees to teach Tori what it means to be edgier.

Teaching Tori to be edgier is not only exciting but entirely sensual and sexy and certainly no burden for Drake. With Tori’s agreement, Drake takes total control of their relationship from what Tori wears to the things she does both in public and private. Much to both Tori and Drake’s surprise, Tori is not only a willing participant but an enthusiastic one as well. While both are enjoying their time together and clearly convincing the public of their relationship status, they know they situation is temporary and meant to be nothing more than a show. As the deadline to catch the killer draws ever closer, Tori and Drake also become closer and neither are at all prepared for how the whole mess is going to shake out in the end.

The Bottom Line: It is no secret how much I love trilogies and the Black Brothers Trilogy is no exception. From beginning to end, I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and was really sad to come to the end. Drake Maddox is quite the surprise and I liked him from the moment he was introduced in book two. Seriously? It’s kind of hard not to like him after that island scene. . . .but I digress. Tori is spunky and eager to learn but she is also searching for something more for her life. Drake is the perfect fit for Tori and once they actually lay all their cards on the table they are a very good team. The reveal of the big bad is not at all unexpected but getting to that moment is well worth it and I was glad to see the continuation of the theme/characters through all three books. Bush has created a group of characters and a plot line you are glad to see continue. Don’t get me wrong, each book focuses on one of the brothers exclusively but the other brothers (and their respective partners) play a vital role in that character’s book. It is clear, there is a great sense of respect, love, and loyalty among the Black brothers and that is a theme that is carried throughout the series as well. Bush has created an excellent series with solid, well-rounded characters and a plot line that is equal parts naughty and nice. I was quite thrilled to follow the Black brothers through three reads and would gladly do so again.

P.S. Though these books can be read as stand-alones, I highly recommend reading all three of them in order. There is so much crossing over and continuation of certain elements and characters that to read the trilogy out of order would create a far less enjoyable experience.

Good writing, entertaining, fun and sexy

Shameless is off the Richter scale, steaming, piping, put the kids and the dog out HOT!!! Trust me when I tell you this. I like my books extra spicy and this one reminded me of this nuclear hell hot sauce my Grandmother used to keep for special occasions (true story, that’s actually a thing). I have to lead with this information because even though I enjoyed the overall story, the lasting impression this book leaves is that you need a fan and a glass of ice water.

Shameless is the third book in the Black Brothers Trilogy but you do not need to have read the other two books to read this one. How do I know that? I haven’t read the first two books (yet). I will give you this warning, I get the impression that some parts of the storyline carry over from book to book and if you’re like me and you start with this book first, it’s likely that some parts of Book one and two will be spoiled. Of course, take this warning with a grain of salt because like I said, I haven’t read the first two books. The plot of Shameless is pretty straight forward. Tori is an FBI agent assigned to fake a relationship with country singer Drake Maddox in order to draw out a stalker who goes after Drake’s love interest. Of course Tori is hot and Drake is HAWT and “fake” love in erotic romance novels is like fake calories in real life- there is no such thing. So it’s no surprise when Tori and Drake’s fake relationship starts teetering on real lust.

The main thing (other than the sex) that I like about this book is the dialogue between Tori and Drake and the building of their relationship. I hate to read and book where I have to keep asking myself what the main characters have in common and how the hell they seem to be in love, that’s not the situation here. Brynley has constructed a story that has enough real detail about the main characters that we can identify with them and their attraction to each other.

Another thing you will enjoy about this book is that it is well paced and the plot is constantly moving forward. I was interested in the underlying mystery from the first page to the last and I never had a moment of boredom. The fact that Drake is a singer and we get to see some of the lyrics to his songs adds interesting layers to the book that makes the experience more memorable.

I’m not a BDSM fan because so much of it post-FSOG has been cheesier than nachos and cheesy is not sexy. This book does include some light BDSM but I like the way it was done. The BDSM scenes were pretty mild as far as those go and they were definitely sexy and not too cliché.

The reason this book isn’t a five star review for me is because I’m easily distracted by factual discrepancies and Tori was like the worst FBI agent ever. Ok, yes, I have zero self control and probably would have been jumping Drake like a horny puppy from the introductions but I’m not a trained professional law enforcement person or whatever. I just hope the people assigned to keep us safe are not as easily seduced by their charges as Tori was.

I really like this author’s writing style and I’m excited to explore other works by her. I highly recommend this book.

I received an ARC copy for an honest review of this book.

Wow! Talk about a HOT book. The battery on my iPad actually died while I was reading this and I screamed a very loud "NOOOOOOO" at the screen. I couldn't wait until the morning to find out what happened to Tori and Drake. There is some light BDSM in this book, so if that sort of thing is not your cup of tea, don't bother.

The black in the 5 stars is for the "Black Brothers Trilogy" - get it, Black brothers, black stars...

Brynley Bush has surprised me and made me a fan. Tori is an FBI Agent who is assigned to Drake Maddox, a super hot country singer. Female fans are disappearing from Drake's concerts and Tori is going to help catch the sick individual. Tori took a chance, ran far from her father's business and into the door of the FBI. She is new to the agency and needs to prove herself. This case is her chance, except no one believes this petite, home-town girl can do the job. Little do they know. (Insert evil laugh) Before Tori can be the strong, dependable agent, she needs to find herself. All of herself, including her courage. On the verge of being kicked off the case, she goes to Drake, the beautiful, amazingly sexy country singer to ask him to help her find the courage to be reckless, brave and strong. Drake does it with a power exchange. He helps Tori see another side to herself and in turn, helps Drake see a side to himself he didn't know existed. Only then can Tori focus on being the agent to solve the case and find the sick person who is kidnapping female fans.

I found Drake to be very mysterious, not trusting the character until the end. He is written very well and since the relationship was supposed to be a fake one for the sake of the stalker, at times I didn't know if Drake was serious or playing the role of the boyfriend, but all is revealed in due time. And it will make you happy. You even get to meet his brothers, each has their own books written for them so if you like this book, check out the first two. I know I am! The family bond is strong and I appreciate stories like that. I love the strong family who has each other's back.

The sex scenes are amazing and tasteful. Got me squirming in my seat at times too. Drake is a god to Tori, always taking care of her needs. Always, but she needs to trust him! Well, just like a good Dom would I guess.

I found the ending to be predictable, just the part where the stalker was revealed. Either that or I am a good guesser, but I felt the climax of the stalker meeting Drake was a little predictable. I was yelling at Tori when she was in the hotel room but she obviously didn't hear me tell her to turn around and run away. Thank goodness for her phone though. *winks* And yes, thank goodness for Drake and the FBI too!

I give Brynley Bush and "Shameless" 5 stars! Looking forward to reading the other two books in the trilogy. I am a new fan of Brynley Bush.

***I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review!***

This was a fantastic book. The characters were well written, and the story line was interesting. I really enjoyed Tori's personality and spunkiness. I thought she was a strong-willed heroine who took charge of her life and went after what she wanted without fear. I love any book that paints a strong female character, and I especially loved that this was a woman who was in the FBI. It's clear from the start that Tori feels she has a lot to prove to everyone, but most importantly, to herself. Her character really evolves over the story, and while she started out strong in the beginning of the book, she was even stronger in the end.

I have read previous books where the characters were forced to fake a romance, but usually not in this setting. I liked that this book was something different. I also liked that the famous musician was a country superstar rather than the typical rock star. I do enjoy rock star romances, but it nice to see a bit of a change.

Drake is a dominant, enigmatic, sexy cowboy with a swagger that will knock you off your feet. He is a man who is not afraid to take control and to push you to your limits and beyond. I really liked the development of his relationship with Tori throughout the story. It didn't feel rushed, but rather progressed naturally. This is a very erotic book, and you will definitely find yourself falling for Drake Maddox.

There are some elements of BDSM in this book, which I enjoy if written well, and I thought that the author did a great job of incorporating those elements in an exciting way, but also one that was believable. There was one scene in particular that was played very well.

You will get the back story of what happened in previous books, as the other two brothers do make an appearance. I enjoyed getting to know them a bit, and I also liked the other supporting characters in this story. They added a bit of levity and realism, as well as some humorous moments. Though this was my first book in this series, I think that it was a nice conclusion to this series based on how things came together in the end. It seemed a very fitting finale.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves a lot of steamy, passionate sex, mystery and adventure, and a romance made in the stars. Although this can be read as a stand-alone, for full enjoyment, I would suggest reading them in order so as not to spoil certain plot lines in later books.

5 Standing "O" Stars

Ok, mind out of the gutter people, though "it" does occur in the final installment of this totally hot series, this is more of what I had in mind.

It is baby brother's turn this time around and after the last book, we know Drake is a bad boy country star with more than just a side of sexy. Unlike Drake, Tori is a rather straight laced FBI agent helping to uncover whoever is threatening girls Drake has interactions with. So Tori will be posing as Drake's boyfriend and she isn't sure she is the right person, she feels she lacks the edge. Tori has to succeed though as this is her first big break with the Bureau and everyone, including her dad and her ex don't support her.

Drake is happy to play the part of boyfriend to Tori and is even more thrilled to help her get that edge which will help her with the case. But helping her allows him to become closer to Tori and unfortunately he isn't sure he wants to put her at risk.

This book was an amazing addition to the series. Drake makes for yet another wonderfully dominant Black brother with just the right amount of sweetness. For huge fans of BDSM you must be aware that this book dabbles with it but there is just as much vanilla and trust me, it adds to Drake and Tori's developing relationship. Luckily, the couples from the other books show up with regularity, which simply equates to more Black brothers to enjoy. Best of all, Bush has done an amazing job incorporating a secondary story line which also comes to resolution in this book. She does such an incredible job explaining all that has happened without seeming like a retelling of the other books. This would allow someone to read this book as a stand alone without being lost, however, it will definitely be better reading the series in order. After all, there are two other beautifully hot love stories to enjoy first.

If I haven't been clear, this book was an amazing finish to a brilliantly written book with sweet and funny moments, a hint of mystery, topped of with chemistry and a little kink. Bravo Ms. Bush...can't wait to read what you write next.

Do you remember the reviews I had back in March 2016, yes, before I took my “vacation” from the blog? If you do, then you should be familiar with the Black Brothers Trilogy. And today I’m finishing it up! Therefore, you have yet to read Fearless or Matchless you can check them on my blog. Now, let me get back to today’s review. It will be short, so I will not be boring you a lot!

As mentioned in Matchless, you can read this one as a stand alone. It is intervened with two other books, but you won’t get lost as everything will be explained. But if you have read the previous books you can guess on whom we will be focusing today! Yes, it’s time to get to know Drake Maddox or Drake Black the youngest of the Black brothers. He’s your bad boy, country music superstar. And who’s going to be his pair? Meet Victoria Raine, or Tori and FBI agent, no kidding there. So, how the hell did these two meet? I would have really wanted to keep the intrigue, but it’s not all that necessary. Drake is getting letters from a crazy fan, and lastly, the girl he has been associated with have gone missing and one was found dead, that’s where Tori comes in. she is going to act as Drake’s girlfriend to lure the murderer out. So far so good?

And now you’re wondering where the “romance” comes in? well, you could have guessed, what started as a fake relationship blossomed into a real one, but before our characters acknowledge it, lots of stuff are going to happen. Are you ready to see how Drake’s and Tori’s relationship is going to work out? What kind of Alpha Make Drake is? He was the cutest but I still loved Griffin more. Are you ready to see how Camille’s case is going to end? She as the villain does not disappoint me!

Enjoy it to its fullest and don’t forget to share your thoughts below! Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos! Don’t miss your next favourite book or manga! Happy reading!

XOXO

It is finally time for the youngest brother, Drake Maddox, country superstar and bad boy. When threats turn serious and girls go missing, the FBI steps in to try find out who is behind it. With the idea that it is the girls who Drake seems to take a liking to are the ones who turn up missing, the FBI decides to give him a girlfriend. And newbie FBI agent, Victoria Raine is the perfect fit...well sort of.

Tori, lived her life the way she was supposed to until she decided to spread her wings and break away from her boring, good-girl life and apply for the FBI. While she is smart and good agent, she is not at all prepared for the likes of Drake. She does her research, reads her case files, talks with the other agents but there is nothing like "on the job training."

"I'll lead. You just have to follow."

Drake does lead Tori to places she never dreamed of, at first to help not blow her cover but along the way she begins to lose her heart too. Drake attempts to lead a private life but rumors of tastes are far and wide. He, like his brothers, has a dominate, alpha personality that is just begging to come out and with Tori nothing gets held back.

It was really enjoyable watching these two find themselves in each other, even though they both knew going in it was all for show. They needed to do this to find the threat and attempt to stop it. This book's action was more intense than the previous two books and the lengths some people will go to get what they want are quite scary. This was a really good conclusion to the Black Brothers Trilogy and I was a little sad to see it come to an end. The whole trilogy was entertaining, wickedly sexy and suspenseful.

Well Brynley did not disappoint in the final book of the Black Brothers Series. Victoria Raine is the perfect daughter until she decides she wants to spread her wings and become an FBI agent against her father and boyfriends wishes. Then she is assigned to a case to be the gorgeous, hot and dominant Drake Maddox girlfriend to catch a killer. But not everyone believes that the straight laced Tori will be able to pull it off. When the Tori's boss isn't buying the "fake" relationship and threatens to pull her off the case, she decides to ask Drake to teach her to be that kind of "girl". And boy is he a GREAT teacher!

Drake Maddox is so yummy and comes up with some very creative "teaching" skills to bring out the submissive in Tori. If only we all had such an AWESOME teacher!!! And like the Emmaline and Mila, Tori is a wonderful character that you just would love to be best friends with. Now I am torn on which is my favorite brother - Griffith or Drake (I guess I just wish I was Mila LOL - inside joke if you haven't read the second book!) But Drake gets bonus points for the last sex scene - WOWZA!!!

Ms. Bush knows how to write her sex scene to be STEAMING HOT and Panty wetting. So again 5 Stars on the hotness ranking and but this time 4 stars on the rest of the story. I actually liked the story with the fake girlfriend and mystery part. I just could not get into the re-hashing of the cancer part - and that may have been because I read the books back to back. I guess for the books to be stand-a-lones it needed to be included. But that meant there were many pages of the book that I skim read just to get past it. So 4 1/2 Stars and my favorite of the series!!

I really enjoyed reading Brynley's series and would definitely recommend her as an author. Looking forward to reading more of her books.

Reviewed for A Wanton Book Lover Blog

Shameless, the 3rd book of the Black Brothers trilogy by Brynley Bush has been my favorite. This book focuses on the youngest Black Brother, Drake Maddox, country super-star. Female fans that Drake has shown special attention to have been killed; not wanting a serial killer on their hands, the FBI places fresh-out-of the academy Victoria “Tori” Raine. She knows she should keep the relationship strictly business, but she can’t help but take the chance that Drake is offering her to live on the wild side as she has “heard” about his reputation in the bedroom. What starts as an act soon begins to develop into something real for both Drake and Victoria.

Shameless can be read as a stand-alone, but trust you, you really shouldn’t miss out meeting his older brothers in the first two books. I think Drake’s book is my favorite. He is smoking hot and a bad-boy country star. Combine that with his alpha and domineering nature-something many women dream about. What sane girl wouldn’t want to get a little rowdy with him? With a little help from older brother Beckett, he and Drake come-up with some interesting “tests” for poor Tori. There are lots of hot, steamy scenes that will not disappoint. I highly recommend this book as well as the whole series.

I’m sorry Beckett and Griffin; little brother Drake has stolen my heart.

Ladies, have an extra pair of panties handy, you’re going to need them!

Drake Maddox/Black is a Country music bad boy. A man portrayed in the media as a sexual deviant of sorts.

Victoria “Tori” Raine is a straight-laced FBI agent that feels that she needs to prove that she is a “card carrying bad ass” (which she definitely is).

Tori’s first undercover assignment is to make the world believe that she and Drake are a couple. In the hope that it will draw out the serial killer that is preying on women close to Drake. Though the relationship is a sham, there is nothing pretend about their chemistry. It is explosive!

He is sexy, possessive alpha male at its finest. She is unsure of her own sensuality, but has always wanted to be “bad”. Together they are intense! The sex scenes in this book are beyond scorching hot.

Just like with the two previous books, Shameless, continues with a fresh storyline. It’s a perfect mix of suspense and eroticism.

Though I am sad to see it end, Brynley Bush brought this trilogy to a close beautifully.
I will definitely be reading all three of these books again.

I give Shameless 5 out of 5 stars.
