Christmas With the Clouds - a review by Rosemary Kenny

I really love this sweet romantic tale as it's so charming and just right for the Season.
Christmas in the Clouds tells the story of Brian and Tracy Cloud and their 4 year old daughter Jasmine, who seem to live a charmed life; happily married and learning to be good parents, with a well-paid career and a lovely family home in Utah - what more could Tracy want?
Yet due to past unhappiness, insecure professional therapist Tracy fears she could lose it all in an instant, if Fate or a higher power decided to burst her blissful 'bubble'. Brian has an important yet risky job as a blaster on construction sites and Tracy worries about that too, especially when she hears of a tragic accident in the area he's working in, which has claimed 4 men's lives. When Brian's boss and another guy arrive at the house, the worst possible news is confirmed.

What does Tracy do next? How will she rescue Christmas for Jasmine when her own heart is breaking?
Who is Mrs Lincoln and how does she help Tracy cope?
Who does Tracy go to visit in Idaho? Who goes with her?

Though tragedy has struck, the love that Traci shared with Brian lives on in Jasmine, their beloved daughter and thus will never truly die. If you read no other romance story this Christmas, make sure you read Christmas With the Clouds, as the wonderful Suzanne Jenkins touches your heart in her unique and special way. Don't miss it!

Shot and sweet

Short and sweet tale of endings and new beginnings. Hearts opening to love and trust for friends, family, and relationships. Very quick read, which I was looking for, but that left. Feeling of rushed evolution of characters; but I still thought the story was uplifting and sweet.

Moving tale of love lost and found: 💔heartbreak overcome but not forgotten😩🌈😍

Format: Kindle Edition
👏👏Excellent short novella that touchingly describes a family's path through grief, heartbreak, and finally, to a new start. The family in question is Native American and they rely heavily on the kindness and support of strangers and their community. The romance is sweet and, I have to admit, of the several dozen Christmas stories and novels I read in 2018, this one stood out for its unique setting and plot. It did not follow a standard trope and was well-written. Definitely worth the time -- makes you realize what blessings a safe and healthy family bring even before a single present goes under the tree!🎄

I read a complimentary advance copy of the story; this is my voluntary and honest review.

Hauntingly beautiful

Tracy and Brian lead the perfect life with their 4 year old daughter until an unexpected phone call and people at her door tear that life apart.
This is a hauntingly beautiful story about love, family, unexpected tragedy and loss, and how life can change over the course of a year.
Suzanne Jenkins writes about a very difficult, sorrowful subject, and handles it so gracefully, as lives grow and change in unexpected ways, and are put back together in a different way.

Why did I wait.

I have had this book for awhile, but I just kept not reading it. I love Suzanne Jenkins books, so I do not know why. Immediately within the first few pages I was hooked. It is a fast read unfortunately. When I was done I wanted it to continue. A wonderful story of hope and loving after the death of a spouse. It is now ranked as one of my favorites reads from any author.

Enjoyed

This book was a heartwarming story. There is a touch of sadness throughout because it starts out with the death of her husband. The way that Mrs. Lincoln and Tracy became friends and how the in-laws all become s family gives off warm feelings. It was s great Christmas story.

I get that this is a novella but I dont think there's enough substance here for a well written book. Even felt rushed and staccato and who marries someone a year after the husband gets blown up?? Especially to the guy who broke the news to you!

Not realistic and the sentences structure is cringeworthy.

A heartbreaking yet redeeming story of love, loss and friendship. Tracy and Brian are a young couple who have a daughter Jasmine. When tragedy strikes, Tracy must learn to open her heart to an unexpected friendship and love.
This is a sweet story of learning how to continue on after tremendous loss with the help of family and a special friend.

Christmas with the Clouds

Delightful enchanting book, so smooth flowing that you keep reading until there is no more. It is so tender with Brian always being an actual presence. I wonder--does this occur in real life?

What does one do when tragic strikes, her worse fear had happen. Everything was taken care of by her husband Brian. He was a blaster and the team was killed. Jasmine her 4 year old daughter, will bring her joy and sorrow, and hope for a good life once again.

My first time reading this author and was very impressed! Can't wait to read more of her books, Death of a loved one is hard at any time, but just before Christmas is unthinkable for a young mother and her husbands family who have suffered loss before.

Tracy and Ray

What a beautiful love story. We start with the tears of a lost husband and father. We travel with them through moving, getting best friend and parents. Finding true love along the way. A box of Kleenex will be helpful. Tears of sorrow and tears of joy

A wedding

This is a short story with a.powerful line. I kept wondering how this could end. Probably not a realist plot, but a Christmas story.
