Jordan started with a pen and paper and discovered her dream of writing. This southern Louisiana born lady, enjoys a good romance as much as she does writing them in her spare time. That is if she’s not hanging out with family and furry kids.
She’s never forgotten where she came from, though. Her past is her encouragement.

I’ll start off with suggesting that you start with the first book. I had this one specifically recommended to me and I really felt like I was dropped into the middle. This one focuses on Gwen and Alex in the aftermath of what had to have happened in book 3.

But, to catch you up, it appears as though the serial killer is selecting girls that look similar to Piper - whom, I’m going to assume was the FMC in the prior books. This one is NOT focused on Piper and her love interest, the other Corbin brother, Emeric.

So, in the aftermath of…prior books. Gwen is back at home with her husband Alex Corbin (the married part seems to be new-ish), recovering from her ordeal and trying to get back to life as usual. Her husband is treating her like she’s in need of healing … and denying her (her trauma did not include sexual assault, thankfully) marital rights. So there’s some fun and playful banter as the two try to navigate a new normal and overcome the emotional aftermath of, well, at first she can’t fully remember. But as we progress through the book, and she progresses through her healing process, she remembers more and more (and the police discover more and more).

In the background, shadowy figures plot…and focus on a new target.

It had fun and light moments and dark and violent moments. It’s clearly part of a larger, more complex storyline. Which isn’t to say that you’re lost, trying to start with Book 4, but I wouldn’t say it’s at its best as a standalone. Either way, it’s enjoyable as a romantic suspense tale with a darker side - combined with a lighter side of love and healing.

Things are really heating up! The fourth installment brings about the identity of at least two of the people involved with the murders. But, we as the readers knew, there are three men, but wait a minute, there was one body discovered that none of them claim. So, what does that mean? It means the killer(s) are still out there doing what they are doing best! We will continue to uncover dark secrets that affect the friendships built. Gwen also has some secrets revealed from her past that will impact her future as well. The police are still uncovering evidence and hoping it will all end soon! Piper will have a hand in helping with the case in this book. Cannot give too much away…on to the next installment! Jordan Leger, I was hooked on the last series but this one has me even more hooked!!!!

This is book 4 in this series. There is a killer out there killing young girls. Gwen was capture and somehow she got lucky to live. Her friends, family, and law enforcement been questioning her about what happen when she was captured. She lives the nightmare over and over again. When you think that one person can be the killer it turns out you were wrong. I can't wait to see who Blood Bayou killer is. A must read.

This is the fourth book in this awesome series, and just when I thought I had figured everything out, then whammy, left hanging at the end. This is another well written story form this talented author, and in this story there is more danger, suspense, and twists. I cannot wait to read more from this author, whose work I highly recommend for all.

So so good! What's going on in Kinley Louisiana by golly? Nothing good and everything perfect! I'm not a shame to admit I cried some reading this one. I've heard there are 2 more books to this series and I will not be missing out either.

This book took off where the last ended. Gwen has to come full circle in Redemption. Can she? Does Alex stay with her to support her?

Wow, this one I have to say was my favorite so far. It's information packed with some actual action. Had my brain on edge at a few points wonder how that chapter will close. Also met another great character. It had the feel of an ending, but you know it's not quite there. Looking forward to seeing what happens.

i’m hooked!

Yet another awesome book and one of my new favorite series! Holy crap, the twist and turns were unexpected! Gwen is one of my favorite characters and I was so happy to continue reading about her and Alex. Mysteries are solved, new ones emerge, and a beautiful love story unfolds. You also get to learn more about Jared and Penny.
