Born and raised in Long Island, New York, he learned fast how to use his quicksilver tongue to get himself out of trouble. Rough around the edges, proudly Italian, and purposefully impolite, Santino does not sugarcoat things or tolerate disrespect of any kind. The product of a dysfunctional childhood, he has overcome adversity through his quick wit, intelligence, and persuasive skills to transform himself into the natural salesman he was born to be.
After a bad deal lands him in the penitentiary, he finds himself broke and stuck in New Jersey upon release, until his cousin Giovanni makes him an offer he can’t refuse. Money starts to flow and life gets even better when he meets the sexy, sassy, and oh so nasty Scarlet Westbrook at their mutual friend, Lazarist Zander’s, wedding...
Scarlet is a Brooklyn native with not one care to give. She is funny, self-assured, assertive, not easily ruffled, a great and loyal friend, and the product of a hard-knock-life. The owner of one of the most successful Black hair salons in Brooklyn, she is a force to be reckoned with. Scarlet has made it no secret that she wants a man, and that man better have money flowing out of every pore of his body. She has her own dinero, but she wants some of her future husband’s too. Period. Point blank.
When Santino steps to her with his sexy and charming ways, she is not moved by his gorgeous blue eyes and natural swag. She is there to celebrate her best friend’s marriage with a shot-caller, and the last thing she has time for is a loud man who has yet to prove himself worthy. Off she goes, dancing into the night, but Santino doesn’t just let things end there. Oh no... he’s only just begun.
What begins as a rough start smooths out like butter once the Italian slickster gets under her skin. He’s made no bones about it; he wants her, and what a Scorpio man wants, a Scorpio man gets. A fiery romance lights up their hearts, and both are able to give each other the love and hard truth they’ve always needed. But can love heal all emotional traumas and wounds? These two smile in the face of adversity, but a happy face is only skin deep...
What happens when two headstrong, broken individuals find love in the unlikeliest of places?
Tiana Laveen was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. She moved away, and now lives inside of her mind, but her heart is occupied with her husband, two children, and twisted imagination. She enjoys a fulfilling and enriching life that includes writing books, public speaking, drawing, painting, listening to music, cooking, and spending time with loved ones.
Tiana Laveen is a uniquely creative and innovative author whose romance fiction is geared towards those who not only want to temporarily escape from the daily routines of life, but also became pleasantly caught up in the twisted, well developed journeys of her unique characters. Tiana creates a painting with words as she guides her reader into the lives of each and every main character. Her dedication to detail and staying true to her characters is evident in each novel that she writes.
Santino Dominic Mantovani, owner and CEO of marketing firm Dom Monopoly and Scarlet Bianca Westbrook, owner of her own beauty shop Coilly Queen had so much in common. They were both Scorpios, neither one took bull from anyone, they were both straight shooters and they both had toxic mothers whom they preferred to stay away from. They both needed and wanted their mother's love and approval most of all. They both used their personalities and mouths as a cover to keep from being hurt.
When Dom and Scarlet first met at a wedding, things did not go as Dom wanted. Scarlet used him up for her satisfaction, chewed him up and spit him out in less than ten minutes. She told him that she not only wanted money but heart too. He'd never been handled like that by any woman before. The encounter had them both spooked and wanting more, so much so that Dom had to track her down. Their first date was hot as fiyah. Neither one of them was looking to fall in love but they both did. Dom realized that Scarlet was a straight shooter and was the real deal, not like he thought all women were. He was determined to be Scarlet's everything, be her backbone, her shoulder to cry on, when she needed and he wanted to do this for a lifetime.
Tiana wrote a wonderful story. Dom kept me laughing throughout this story with his nasty mouth. There were several scenes that just had me choking up with emotions. Dom's Nonna was a trip. She wanted his happiness above all and could see that Scarlet made him happy and she let Scarlet know that in no uncertain terms. Dom and Scarlet's trip to the spa have me reading with my mouth hanging open. That dang Dom is such an alpha. He exudes the typical Scorpio with being highly sensual. I got teary at his prayers in the church. He truly loved Scarlet and wanted the best for her, even if he had to sacrifice his life for her. The icing on the cake was his first conversation with his son. He knew he was a bad person but he told Santino Jr that his mother changed him and made him a better man, that he was Blessed and God had given him a second chance in life and forgave him. This was a great story and I truly enjoyed it.
Dom and Scarlet are two peas in a pod that are made for each other. They know what it’s like to grow up without the love of their mothers, They are straight shooters and they know each other inside out because it was basically looking at their reflections.
I must say when I first met Scarlet in Leo-Mr Boss I wasn’t a big fan of her so the fact that Ms Laveen gave both her and Dom their own story so that you can better understand them is refreshing.
There were so many moments in this book that had me cracking up 😂 at how crazy the two of them were. Misunderstandings were so limited it’s almost as if they weren’t there... well of course cause how can you misunderstand yourself right 🤷🏾♀️. Neither did they take offense in whatever the other might say and that’s what also caused a smooth flow in their relationship. Dom Mr Magnetic knew what he wanted from the start and did not waste time being afraid to tell her that he loved her and what their future would be like.
I am happy that they both got the closure from their parents that they needed to move forward in their live. This is another fantastic read by Ms Laveen and I’d definitely recommend this book to all of those who are reading my review.
Dom and Scarlet met in the Leo book. They had a car quickie in that book. Dom couldn't stop thinking about Scarlet so he searched into he found her. Both had troubled childhood with mothers that weren't there and no father anywhere around. They were both scorpio's (both at the end of the cycle b'days were the 19th and 21st), and they found they were a lot alike in personality. They loved, married, and had a child whole building a good solid life. Im a Scorpio so I tried to see myself in them - lol🦂🦂🦂. I am prone to telling you off if pushed...and sex is one of my favorite things, so I did find a little of me in them although I'm closer to the beginning of the Scorpio sign, 2nd of November. This was a good read, but I enjoyed the Leo book better, which was the 1st one I read.
A Very Good and Sensual Interracial Romantic Thriller
Scorpio - Mr. Magnetic: The 12 Signs of Love (The Zodiac Lovers Series Book 11) is a very good and sensual interracial romantic thriller that earned a rating of five stars. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and found it to be very funny as Santino and Scarlet found themselves falling in love. They had to overcome a lot of obstacles to find their happy ever after. I would recommend this book to everyone who enjoys reading very good interracial romance.
I have read all of the zodiac lover series but this and Pisces were my favorite. If you haven't read them do yourself a favor and read them. I laughed until I cried at this outrageous couple.. If profanity and sex is not your thing you won't enjoy these but if you are a little crazy can handle some great sex please read these. I am a true TL fan..Hunt fervently for her next release. She never disappoints
It must be me, but by the middle of chapter 2, I was done. I can’t finish this drivel.
Dom’s introduction of himself in chapter 1 had an EXCESSIVE amount of vulgarity and I find this unnecessary. I tried to continue to the next chapter but I can’t dredge up the interest in Scarlet.
I won’t continue with this book when there are so many other good ones to read.
The writing felt rushed, long monologues and the name dropping of songs felt like a means to fill a page more than communicating the mood. I liked the characters themselves, two broken people find healing, success and love together. Easy read to pass the time.
I was so glad that these characters had a chance to connect. Their chemistry was tangible. I laughed out loud multiple times. Their relationship was too hot for words. I truly enjoyed this book.
Dom is a trip. Straightforward and a loose tongue. The man has no barriers but Scarlet loved it. I love how you demonstrate the different contrast between a Scorpio female and the Scorpio male. Love it. This is my favorite out of this series.
At first I didn't like this guy or this relationship. But Tiana uniquely knows how to make you come to love a character that you initially don't like. I look forward to the last book of the series, but regret the end of such a great series!
I have read all the zodiac novels ( next is Sag), and I know they are not suppose to be related but I am glad these 2 characters received their own story. Sometimes you need someone just like you to hill or atleast experienced the same things.
I think that this is by far my favorite book in the series! Think AND Scarlett were crazy! The beginning of their love affair started in a unconventional way. They were the mirror image of one another. I love a spunky heroine, and Scarlett gave me that!
Dom! Loved this man. His character was rough! But his charm, sex appeal and earnestness won me over! Scarlet was his match on all accounts! Their love was big and unconventional!
