Ordinary People Surviving Extraordinary Times
Now that Camp Eastwood has electricity, life has become more comfortable at the survivor settlement. There's still plenty of work to do however, and Walter and Sheriff Rollins know they cannot become complacent -- especially while Chris and his tribe continue to grow their numbers deep in the forest. His hatred for Walter remains undiminished, and he just waits for the right moment to exact his revenge.
Meanwhile, a terrifying new force arrives in the Cohutta, one that shows no mercy to anyone who stands in their way. Powerful and ruthless, they establish their own camp, imposing martial law on any group that resists. Well-armed...highly-trained, it appears no one can defy them. They're called...the Militia.
With strong, original characters that jump off the page, this is a fast-paced story that fans of post-apocalyptic survival fiction will appreciate.
★This review contains spoilers!★ This is one of the most exciting post-apocalyptic novels (series) I've ever read! I'm really happy I started checking it the self published section of the Kindle store. This author kicks ass and his stories are intense, high impact thrillers! So when I was reading this I just knew Kohler would screw the pooch in the end. An intelligence officer trying to lead a combat team lol. My sympathies were challenged in this story, because I'm military 1st, always. But these were convicts so I was glad they got their asses handed to them. And man if really like to know more about the Eastwoods and Bentons so I really want more novels.
Just finished No Direction Home series. I really enjoyed these books and look forward to the next one. Loads of action with a little romance thrown in for good measure. I was hoping that Max would be a good person but he got his just reward. I recommend this series to everyone.
A book hard to lay down. Easy to follow. Live in Chatt. Work that area east of Cleveland. If the next is a good as the last four I will be a happy camper.
