I used to be Ellis Landon. Ordinary at best. And literally haunted.
But now I’m Ryker’s Firestarter.
Levi’s Dangerous Girl.
Jacob’s Princess.
Funny how different love will make you. Stronger. Braver. Bound, and free, all at once.
Pursued by demons and by the Company that would imprison us to unlock the secrets of the Far, we have to find the Fourth. The last member of my harem. Together, we’ll be a force to be reckoned with. Together, we’ll protect my mother and rescue my sister from the dark afterlife.
Together with my harem, I’ll never be unloved and unwanted again.
Let the forces of hell come at us. I’ve got my boys.
FIERCE ANGELS is the second in the paranormal reverse harem romance series, LILITH AND HER HAREM.
After being held captive by the Company, rescued by Jacob and thrown into a whole new world, Ellis is trying to settle in and learn. She's been busting her butt to show everyone she can do what needs to be done. All while hiding a very important secret. When the truth comes out, the boys aren't happy. Was letting Levi and Ryker leave for their hunt with her still being mad a good idea? Can she really survive being left alone with Jacob until they get back? And what happens when they finally find the Fourth?
Listen up! Serious face on here. All you Jacob haters from book one, you come tell me what you think about him after you finish this book. You think he's a grumpy asshole? You think he's unnecessarily mean to Ellis in book one. READ THIS BOOK! You will come out more understanding, loving, and just want to cuddle him all night long, for Jacob than you ever thought possible. I loved Jacob in the first book, if you read my review then you know that. This book just amped that up for me. I LOVE the back and forth between Jacob and Ellis. I seriously laughed out loud through almost a whole chapter. "You're not riding me. I'm carrying you. Where I want to go. If I were a horse, it'd be a stallion." Like seriously, laughed so hard! But we also get some real, dark, dirty (not the good kind) of moments with Jacob too. What he went through and why he is who he is. Oh my heart.
Ok, so enough about Jacob. Let's talk about Levi and Ryker too. While everyone is hard at work trying to learn as much as they can and prepare for the Far, we also get some down time. The boys each get some one on one time with Ellis. We get to see what each one thinks is a perfect date. *Swoon* I so enjoyed getting to spend time with them like that. We also may know who the Fourth is now. That comes with a whole new bag of problems. Even though I'm not supposed to, I'm seriously feeling for him as well. Maybe I have a thing for the underdog?
So yes, I loved everything about this book. I did read an early copy so I can't say for sure if the small issues I caught will be in the fully published version or not but even as OCD as I am, they weren't enough to pull me away from the overall love I had for this book. I will say, there are some moments that get a little dark and if you feel like you need to know before you read it, just message me and I'll be happy to tell you about it. Just remember, Jacob was tortured in his past.
I happened to see that book 3 is now on amazon!! Dirty Angels, come on March!!
wasn't initially drawn to this series but after reading some of May's latest books i have decided to catch up on all things May Dawson. I have given 4 stars because these books are very good but not quite as awsom as the Shifter Princess or Academy books which are 5 star plus books so its going to be difficult for anything else to measure up. This is a well written and captivating story with wonderful characters that are well defined and although different to anything else she has written the storey so far has captured my imagination, and you have a female MC who is plagued by the death of her sister and the accompanying nightmares, she also has a naivety and vulnerability that are both endearing and off putting at the same time. She almost feels over needy at some points and strong in others. This storey so far lacks the complexity of Mays later books but it is still a very enjoyable read
What a let down - FMC has become a 15 yo overnight
First book was great, this one is such a let down.
The FMC goes from becoming strong and wise, to now downgrading to acting like a 15 yo. Basically having temper tantrums, sticking her tongue out at herself in the mirror and giving the silent treatment when she is unhappy. So off putting, I’m not sure if the author forgot about what she put as the character development for the FMC in the first book?
And the MMCs - it’s like Jacob and Ryker have now changed characters? It’s so bizarre.
The plot itself is still really good, which is what has redeemed the rating to being three starts instead of the two that my disappointed brain wants to rate. The plot is also making up for the editing that is needed…. Again, the plot is what has upgraded to 3 stars.
I hate that this sucked, but I will start the next book and hopefully it will redeem the series - I’ll give it to 40%
Fierce Angels: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance (Lilith and her Harem Book 2) Kindle Edition by May Dawson
Much better than the first, this book joins Ellis and one of her men in the torture chamber of a demon.
Full of action, love, passion, mystery and yes, smexy time, this story moves on with a clip, slowly revealing secrets of the three brothers Ellis is in love with.
Thankfully, the characters are far better fleshed out in the run and far less whiny.
All in all, worth while reading this one, but these are not stand-alones and they do have cliff-hanger endings. This is a fast burner with no M/M because brothers!
Once again Ellis story has capture my heart. In this installment she gets to know more about the mysterious Jacob, the nephelim asshole. And like you could expect from a character with such bad attitude, only a heart-wrenching experience is able to warm his heart to his Lilith. Expect much more tearful moments, action and blood in this second book from the Lilith and her Angels saga. Plus the bathroom sex scene was the cherry on top of the cake. Though I would have expected something rougher coming from Jacob.
Well, this was unexpected. Not that I expected this book to be bad, but I did not think the plot will be that good. Jacob and Ryker sort of switched places and now I do not know who is my favorite :-) The surprising turn of events and the new character had me on the edge of the seat. Character development was great, I fell in love with Eliis and her boys even more. Can't wait for the next book in the series!
I borrowed this book on my kindle unlimited subscription
Book two and it starts from where book one left off. Ellis is still coming to terms with who and what she is and still carries guilt and dispense over her sisters death, she is also trying to work out why Jacob dislikes her so much. But things take a sinister turn, can she survive?
Well written worth great characters, I am absolutely loving this series and am excited for book three
The dynamic within the guys has definitely shifted. There’s now a new tension between Ryker and Ellis that wasn’t there before, but also a new fondness between her and Jacob. Kidnapped and tortured together will do that to you. Im loving this growing relationship between Ellis and Jacob, and now I’m wondering how The fourth brother will play into it after the situation they found themselves in. Maybe he’s more of a good guy than we know? Let’s hope so.
This book was awesome. I love that jacob opens up and ryker move in to the jerk position. We find out a lot more about being the lilith and what it means. Ellis is starting to assert herself a little more while trying to save her sister. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book with nimshi .
This was fantastic. I didn't love the first one so I almost didn't read this but I'm so glad I did. It was great to see Ellis relationships with the guys grow. Jacob is so scarred but has a great heart underneath. I can't wait to read more about Nimshi! I'll definitely read the next one.
The only reason why I’m upset, is because now I have to wait until March (which seems so far away) to read the next book!!! It was great! I’m so glad a certain relationship blossomed in this book, but I really am a little upset that one relationship seems to be on the rocks right now. Over all, I loved it!!
This series keeps pulling me in! The second book was a great addition with a lot of action going on. There was hardly any slow chapters and it was very well written. We see more of Ellis and Jacob working on their relationship in this book and they possibly found the 4th.
Ellis learns more about her destiny and takes her relationship with the guys to the next level...except Jacob. But destiny doesn’t make it easy to fight off feelings, especially after a harrowing ordeal together. They think they’ve found the fourth, and her sister... but what’s next?
Ellis is struggling to keep up with the guys and figure them out at the same time...but she keeps getting stuck in her own way and after a life altering event her and Jacob finally connect and there’s a possibility they found their fourth but will they accept him and does he even know who he is..?
Go from absolutely hating jacob from the first book to understanding and wantong to protect jacob. This plot brings in the maybe missing piece of the 4 brothers. Making you decide to hate him versus jacob. The two favorite brothers are missing for a good part of the storyline making ellis second guess her first opinion on jacob.
Loved this. The dynamic is constantly changing and I love Jacob! He's quickly moved from being the worst to my favourite of the boys. No spoilers but Nimshi I think I could easily love him too even though he's the "bad" guy. Can't wait for more
I didn't see that one coming. I am glad feeling were revealed. How will they except the fourth? I know the mom had more that the guys don't know about. How will the fourth handle the information of who he is to them.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
The story continues on trying to find the fourth and saving her sister ash. Problems arise when 2 are captured and tortured with surprise people showing up. Alot or growth happens and I can't wait for more
DNF. “I still wanted to be sure I got what I wanted and not what they thought was best for me”. I realize the fmc is only 18 but I thought she’d be more mature. Obviously Not! I couldn’t get past the immature, selfishness, Since I couldn’t finish the story I rated it what I rated the first book…
I really enjoyed the angst and the how the author developed the relationships with her Harem. A twist I wasn't expecting left me pleasantly surprised. I am excited to see what's next.
