Lance York and his group of hardened survivors have spent nearly two years living on an island, isolated from the horrors that devoured the world long ago. After a deluge of hurricanes force them to flee back to the mainland, they struggle for weeks to sail along the coast of what used to be the United States.

When they run out of food and supplies, they enter the long-dead husk of Baltimore. They discover that humanity has clustered into a few encampments, struggling to survive against the monstrosities that own the night.

Within hours of running ashore, Lance and his friends become embroiled in a war between the remaining shreds of mankind and the ever-evolving creatures that dwell in the darkness.

"JASON BRANT" is an anagram for Bas Trojann, a former Bigfoot hunter who, after being abducted (and subsequently returned) by aliens, decided to hang up his ghillie suit and enter the world of professional arm wrestling. Despite back-to-back first place finishes in the South Dakota World International Championship League, Bas receded from athletics to invent cheese and give Al Gore the initiative to create the internet.

Nearly a decade after writing the bestselling self-help series, Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese (Cut into Four Pieces) for the Soul, Bas has left his life of notoriety and critical acclaim behind him to write existential, erotic poetry.

His wife washes their clothing on his abs.

Let me tell you, Vladdies make zombies look like a band of prancing Strawberry Shortcakes. I was very excited to see The Hunger series return and Jason Brant doesn't disappoint. Taking place two years after the last book, we find Lance and Cass and their child separated and struggling to break free from competing bands of survivors. The stakes are even higher this time because you don't mess with the Lance/Cass dynamic! The wit and crackling dialogue is as stellar as ever. And if you want action, this one will leave you spent and satisfied. Ruined is the jam!

These days, I usually find the "a band of people try their best to survive the apocalypse" story overplayed and boring. Yet, somehow, Author Jason Brant has found a way to make it interesting again by making characters worth caring for and monsters fascinating enough to fear.

I was a huge fan of this series when it first came out, and seeing it continued is such a joy. I was so excited to be able to read about Lance and Cass again - this time with them married and as parents. The story has evolved, just as the Vladdies have, to them not just running in circles trying to survive the apocalypse. They have people to protect now, the leaders of their ragtag group. Surviving isn't as simple as staying out of the way of the monsters, because these days you don't know who is and who isn't a monster.

I plan on immediately reading the next book, simply because I can't wait to dive back into this amazing world Jason Brant has created. Do yourself a favor and read this series!

When the author announced that he was picking this series up again I was equal parts excited and anxious that it wouldn't live up to the first three (a little like most star wars films that followed the original trilogy, ha ha). I needn't have worried, it was amazing!

No je to slusne pokracovanie. Lance a Cass maju dieta, ktore Lance chcel pomenovat Dragon a hoci oficialne meno je Lincoln, vsetci ho volaju Dragon 🙂.

Can't wait for #5

Love these books, this storyline, the characters, everything. The only thing I don't like is that you get sucked into the story and keep reading and reading and then bang you've finished. Silver lining, it definitely leaves you wanting more. Can't wait for #5!!

I couldn't put it down 😁

I didn't think I would like this series, but I love the story line, the characters, and the Pittsburgh locations. I knew exactly where they were.

Action packed

Love this author, there is so much action in this book, scary in some parts, vampires coming out in daylight. They run into cults and bad people.
