Mary commutes between her dream home near the Mark Twain national forest in Missouri and her current residence in Iowa. She lives with a menagerie of animals including an opinionated horse and a cat who was a dog in past life. When not writing spicy tales of erotic romance, she enjoys writing science fiction and fantasy, spending time with her horse, and enjoying the outdoors. Lucky for her, her partner (hero) shares these same passions, and usually both of them can be found in their respective dens writing.

And it’s not far from the truth. Mary began writing in high school after she discovered Silhouette Desire romance novels and realized that she wanted to be the one to write stories that carried readers away from their oh-so-boring lives. She has a deep appreciation and love of the natural, the spirtual, and the metaphysical, which has led to her running Jupiter Gardens and writing for new age and pagan magazines. She is attuned to Reiki II and reads tarot cards.

Right now her household includes six cats, ranging in age from less than six months (Tenzin, former feral kitten) to seventeen years (Tigger, diabetic kitty), her horse, two parrots, a finch flight, a geriatric parakeet flight, and her partner, the hero of her own personal romance story.

Her favorite television shows are Torchwood, Bones, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Dr. Who (new), Battlestar Galactica (new), Babylon 5, Farscape, and Sex in the City. Her favorite movies are Spaceballs, The Cutting Edge, Serenity, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, the LoTR trilogy, and probably a few others she’s forgetting. Her musical tastes range from Enya, Clannad, David Arkenstone, David & Steve Gordon, Scott McDonald, and AfroCelt Sound System to Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, and others.

*** Reviewing “FIFTY, FURRED, AND FABULOUS!” by Kimberly Forrest***
Ginny Weller, wearing her strapless bikini, was ready to hit the white sandy beach! The bartender fixed her up with a fruity, delicious alcoholic drink – tiny umbrella included, of course! Then she wandered down to put her feet in the ocean for the first time. As she gazed back to shore, she saw a gorgeous, muscled man taking off his shirt. As if sensing her piercing stare, he looked right at her – just as a huge wave broke over her head and knocked her off her feet! She looked down to find her missing hat and sunglasses, only to notice that she apparently had lost her top as well!

Her hero walked her to her lounger and went to get her a bottle of water. When she pulled out her compact, she let a little squeal that she had seaweed in her hair! What a first impression to make! When he came back, he introduced himself as Scott Sloane, having already discerned that she was a wolf shifter like he was. Since they were both single, Scott offered to show her around and take her to dinner and dancing that evening.

Ginny bought a sexy new dress, perfect for dancing. She had her hair done and was very pleased. Scott was also pleased as stared in awe and told her how amazing she looked. He took her to a small place that mostly locals went to, and he was greeted warmly and teased by everyone there. Ginny was amazed at how friendly everyone was to her. She invited him back to her room and the next morning they went snorkeling where the colorful fish swam right up to them. Her next adventure was a surprise. Scott took her rock climbing! She wasn’t sure about this one, but the whole point of her vacation was to do things she had never done before. This certainly qualified! And the view at the top, once she finally made it there, was worth the effort. She was so proud of herself, and Scott cheered her on.

Mountain biking was next on the list for the following day, but Ginny couldn’t move. She felt like a bus ran over her, while Scott moved fluidly with no ill-effects from their cliff climb. She growled at him. He laughed so hard at her that he collapsed on the bed, especially when her aching arms tried to throw a pillow at him. But after a massage and an easy day, she felt much better. When he offered another surprise, a place they could shift into their wolves and run, she nervously accepted. He told her there were other shifters, natives of the island, a small “nest” of them. She assumed birds, but no, he meant boas! Snakes! Only her trust in him to keep her safe allowed her to step out of the vehicle. And again, he was greeted as a friend and teased by the others. Ginny was stockpiling memories, and this run became her favorite!

He took her on a rafting trip for her last day. She marveled at all the things she would never have seen if she had not met him. When the day was over, she cried. She should tell him how she felt, but she didn’t want to put him on the spot. She was in love with him, but she wouldn’t let him sacrifice his plans to keep her happy. Could she really be that strong? Could she walk away? Would he do the same, without a backward glance?

This book was so good, I felt like I was right there with them, having all those adventures! The writing was excellent, the story line perfectly romantic, and the characters so real and likable. The touches of humor keeps the reader chuckling and enjoying this perfect vacation – and maybe even falling in love too! Don’t miss this one. It truly touches the heart and is written so well. Then take a deep breath and read the other excellent story!

Nice short shifters stories. I loved the book.

-Fifty, Furred, and Fabulous! by Kimberly Forrest. I loved it.

I haven't read the previous books.

Ginny was married but lost his mate several years ago.

Finally, this year she can go on vacation, and she choose a sunny spot. There she meets Scott, another shifter, and she decides she Santa to enjoy herself with him. It was supposed to be a fling, but she's fallen in love, and she can't tell him. She doesn't want him to give up his dreams for her.

I loved Ginny and Scott, separately, and as a couple. They had funny momentos, and tender.

-Always Her Wolf, by Mary Winter. I loved it.

When they were young, Travis and Stacia were in love. But their alpha forbade their relationship. She went away, with his family, and he stayed, marrying several years later, although not with the alpha pretender, with his daughter.

Almost 30 years have passed and Stacia returns home. She wants to see Travis again. And he, who could not forget her even when he was married, wants to be with her. But he doesn't want her to give up her job for him. They want to be together, but they don't know how to express it.

I liked Travis and Stacia, and I loved Carmen.

I recommend it.

I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.

Both stories are fantastic but I liked this one the best:

Always Her Wolf by Mary Winter---Stacia has come back to her old pack after 25 years. The old alpha that told her to basically get lost so Travis could mate with his daughter is dead. She shows up at his business, a boat charter. They catch up a bit. She tells him she;s working in a nearby city as an engineer. She reconnects with Carmen, the new alpha. Who tells her she never liked what her dad did. Travis invites Stacia on a run with the pack but before she can go she receives a frantic call for help from work. A few days later Travis goes to visit to find her at work trying to get a bad situation better. She gives him her key and address to go to her place. He shops for food and starts cooking supper After they eat he asks her about her job and what would happen if...before hearing her out or even discussing job situations they come into an argument. She tells him to quit comparing her to his deceased wife. He leaves in a tiff. Stacia doesn;t know what to do or how to handle it. She;s been alone too long.

Both are beautiful stories of silver wolves both male and female. Love isn't only for the young as these stories show. Make sure you have some tissue just in case!!

Two very enjoyable reads in one book. Both stories are about getting second chances after living separate lives for years and fate throwing them together.

50, FIT and FABULOUS by Kimberly Forrest has Ginny taking a one-week vacation, her first in years, to celebrate her last week before turning 50.  She meets Scott, a retired military man, who is traveling and enjoying visiting new places as he decides what to do with his life. They end up having a whirlwind week of adventures and making memories to last a life time before she needs to return home to her pack and her sedate life.

ALWAYS HER WOLF by Mary Winter is a love story that took 25 years to come together.

Forced apart just as they were falling in love, Stacia and her family relocated and Travis stayed with the pack.  With a new Alpha of the pack and a career relocation, Stacia decides to reconnect with her old pack and Travis.

There is plenty of excitement, emotions, suspense, and surprises in these two heartwarming stories.

So grab your favorite beverage, get comfortable and enjoy.

can a warm weather vacation change her life? Widow Ginny had mourned the loss of her crazy Jimmy years ago, and moved onto an orderly, list driven life.

But now that her 50th birthday is approaching, she wants to make sure that she takes a few risks.

Naturally, she loses her bikini top when she tries to wade into the water - and is rescued by Sergeant First Class Scott Sloane, with a well timed t-shirt and towel.

A chance exists to have a holiday romance, and lots of fun - is she up for the risk?

She might lose her heart and have a heck of a fun time!

A steamy romance with sweet connections!

Well written stories full of heart and heat

Both of these stories were highly entertaining and fun to read. Kimberly Frost's is a new-to-me author and her story showcased a gal deciding to live it up on her vacay. She's over 50 and is tired of putting life aside. Well, she meets someone that has her saying yes, yes, YES! Romantic and sweet with such interesting characters and a vividly described setting has me looking at more titles from this author.

Mary Winter gave us a second chance at first love romance, full of what-ifs and if-only's. The sizzling chemistry between these two was off the charts - as it should be for fated mates. I loved that she was intelligent and went for what she wanted. She made the first move and left him reeling. Good fun!

Fifty, furred and Fabulous: Ginny, from VA, went on a vacation of new beginnings met Scott from WY. He took her on a series of first time, new adventures. By the end of vacation, Ginny was in love with Scott. Did he reciprocate? Is this really just a vacation? Can they blend their lives?

Always Her Wolf: Stacey and Travis were in love. The Alpha wanted Travis to marry his daughter, Carmen and encouraged Stacey to leave. Travis later married Lydia who's since died. 25 years later she returns to reconect with Travis, Carmen is now Alpha. Travis never stopped loving her and welcomed her back. Stacey's job kept interrupting reconnect time. Will they ever find time for themselves? Is it too late? Are they too different? Or, once a mate, always a mate? Nice loves stories!

Fifty Furred and Fabulous

First let me state, I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.

Holy shiznet!!! It's about time someone wrote a story like this about an older woman. This story was not & gr8. Ginny is funny & so daring. And Scott, OMG, he's hot and so perfect.
Her Always Wolf
Wow, I never read about shifters not being together when they are fated mates. But Stacia and Travis lived so long apart. It was gr8 to see them working to get back together. And it's so true how as we age we have our set ways of doing things and don't know if we can change them when we get with someone. This was a very touching story. I recommend this read 5 Thumbs up

Fifty, Furred, and Fabulous! (Malsum Pass Series) by Kimberly Forrest-- A good story. Ginny's mate had died and Scott had never had a mate. Let the good times roll.

Always Her Wolf by Mary Winter-- I don't understand why Travis' father would not let they take each other as mates. Then almost force Stacia to leave the pack. After so many years not being around one another to come back now, there will be questions that will have to be though through. I hope that they can come to terms and live happily.

This two book collection has one book I really liked and one that was just so-so for me. The first one by Kimberley Forrest was very good about two older wolf shifters who meet while she is on vacation. Emotional and thoughtful, these two are likeable and I was rooting for them both to have their HEA. The second story was disappointing as the characters seem immature for a “Silver” story. I didn’t connect with them at all. I would recommend this for the first book alone and you might like the second more than I did.

These two authors are fairly new to me and they have each written their own stories in this 2 piece book.
Book 1 by Kimberly Forrest, Fifty, Furred and Fabulous it’s exactly as the blurb says.
Ginny Weller is a wolf shifter she’s a widow and about to turn 50, she meets Scott and has the time of her life.
Book 2 by Mary Winter, Always her Wolf.
Travis’s father the alpha of the pack would not let Travis and Stacia even though they were mates be together so Stacia leaves the pack. 20 years later once Travis’s father dies Stacis is back to see if she still has feelings for Travis.
These are two amazing stories and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Fifty, Furred & Fabulous!:
First, I received a copy of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily reviewing it. Second, the first story was adorable. For a short story, it was wonderful. There was just enough depth to the plot and the characters that I enjoyed it immensely. For someone who is already in her 50's, it was a joy to see older characters finding love again. The only negative for me was that it didn't have a dual POV format.

Always Her Wolf
This also was an enjoyable read. This book was written in a dual POV format. It was nice to see what the characters were thinking about was important to understand the why's and why not's here with these two.

An entertaining pair of second chance shifter romances. In the flirty and fun first story, widowed wolf shifter Ginny takes her first vacation in years, away from her job and her hometown. And finds love with a sexy wolf man. The second story reunites a pair of mates who were separated for twenty-five years by the actions of their pack alpha. Two stories of second chances for love. I enjoyed reading this book!

2 stories about falling for someone who already has lived a life and have their own experiences of being with someone.
The first story is an island holiday romance with a light touch of shifter mixed in.
The second story is a kind of second chance story, where true mates find each other again after both have had other mates.
Intersting topics and brought to life in these stories.
I enjoyed the books a lot, but would have liked the stories a little more detailed

A pair of really good shifter romances.💞🐺💖💞

This book is made up of two short novellas, Fifty, Furred, and Fabulous! by Kimberly Forrest and Always Her Wolf by Mary Winter. Each story is about an older couple, hence the Silver Wolves title but this pair of couples certainly prove to provide the passion and heat. 💕💗🔥💕

I really enjoyed each story and was amazed at the depth of each one. If you are looking for a quick, but satisfying read, then this is the one for you. 😊😍

The two stories in this book are just as the blurb described. You know exactly what to expect going in and I can guarantee that it’s a fun and quick read. Both stories are about getting second chances, something that doesn’t happen too often and the chance to make things better. If you love romance and love seeing things turn out for the better, then I recommend this book.

There are two books in this read. Both are Short, sweet, and steamy reads. Ginny and Scott were the perfect couple. They both seemed to enjoy the same things in life and liked adventure. They seem to be on their way to their HEA. A follow- up on their adventures would be nice. In the second read although they are mated, Stacia and Travis must overcome some big previous and current obstacles.

Nice to read some shifter stories that are based on older people not the young for a change. Well written with all the wisdom and regrets of an older shifter. Still hot and fun ( old doesn't have to mean boring ) a well written book that will appeal to many .
