This volume mostly covers Rimuru becoming an adventurer, affiliated with (I think) Fuze's guild, and so having a "human identity" as a disguise to travel around the human nations. We also have some treaties and trade deals being made, and Rimuru officially making his way to the children.

Now, it's just a matter of fulfilling Shizu's wishes, and saving these children the way that she was unable to before her demise...

Chapter 44. So Rimuru might get a letter of introduction from Fuze for when he goes to the place where the children are? Makes a lot of sense honestly. Technically, Rimuru would be a strange person coming in off the street interested in a bunch of children he’d never met before 8’D

Oh those cheeky buggers XD The “idiotic adventure trio” have been selling all the stuff they get from the Jura Tempest and pretending to be big-shots when they’ve mostly just been given things by Rimuru and co XDD Still, they seem to be pretty good people :P

This bit never happened in the anime I don’t think… An exam for the “subjugation division” of a guild. Neat that you need to pass an exam to become an official adventurer though! Makes a lot of sense c:

I feel pretty bad for all these monsters that keep getting summoned by this guy honestly. They stand no chance against Rimuru and they’re being killed so QUICKLY.

Chapter 45. Makes sense that the nation of Blumund would want to have a treaty with Tempest. They wouldn’t really stand much of a chance if they went to war against that nation 8’D The treaties make a lot of sense on their end too (mutual defense, and mutual passage), and whilst the mutual defense one doesn’t really offer a lot of value to Jura Tempest, the mutual passage one does!

So apparently manga solves all XD Rimuru reveals he’s ALSO from Japan (and from further in the future than this guy) and proves it with manga that was unreleased when that guy came to this world. And thus… he has a loyal friend forever ;D

Chapter 47. Learning about how (and why) some people (like Shizu) end up in this alternate universe…

Sp if a child is summoned, and that child does not develop a skill during the summoning, the excess mana/magic power that is incorporated into their bodies during the summing ends up killing them within approx. 5 years… well… that’s bullshit.

This volume has some of the usual diplomatic negotiations but also Rimuru travelling to the city Shizu came from. And Rimuru also joins the adventure guild. Quite versatile volume actually!

I liked the guild stuff, short and on to the point. Of course everybody knew Rimuru is gonna pass with flying remarks but people's reactions were funny. It's also just nice to see the other cities/countries and how they work in this world.

Then Rimuru gets to Ingrassia and to meet people that were important to Shizu and her mission that Rimuru has now inherited. Yuuki is fun, otaku even in another world. Ingenious gifts btw, Rimuru. :D
The kids aren't just any kids and their origin expanded the lore in a way that I liked. This part is also a new kind of job for Rimuru, so it was refreshing.

Thumbs up for that big library.

Well now, unless my memory failed me, this volume contains the most material not in the anime - specifically the part where Rimuru was traveling with Eren's group and until he reaches his destination. Or maybe I'm just misremembering? Not sure, but I found the journey itself to be funnier than I remembered from the anime.

Anyway, yes, Rimuru is on a trip - essentially trying to tie up a loose end with him having made a promise to Shizu to take care of her protégés/students. From the anime, I didn't particularly like this arc, as I just found Rimuru's teacher role to be somewhat underwhelming.

What's welcome in the volume is more worldbuilding outside the Jura forest - specifically, human kingdoms. A bit of conspiracy, diplomacy and trade gets thrown in as well, to remind us that Rimuru is still very much a person of interest.

Another pretty good one, but certainly takes a turn away from the building of the city of Rimuru. Well, partway through. There is a bit about working on that but the main portion I would say is Rimuru himself working on finding the children he sees in his dreams.

While the series is light hearted and amusing, it does delve a bit into some more serious ideas. Don't let it pass you buy.

Verdict: Worth the read. (I didn't make it to the first light novel yet, but it is on my list!)

Time for adventures among the humans! Rimuru is on his way to finish what Shizue left behind, but a monster isn't a welcome sight in a human town... especially the leader of an entire monster nation. So Rimuru is going undercover and travelling through the lands west of Jura only to become a teacher to five kids... and also uncovering secrets about how humans (from our world) ended up in a real-life D&D module.

Arrivé en Englasie, il découvre bien des secrets ...
Un tome plus calme qui malgré tout fait avancer l'histoire.

I really like how the story continues to develop at a good pace, including other manga but as parodies in a section was really cool and funny at the name changes.

Well this turned different, Rimuru is out of his city and being a human helping kids wield their magic and preventing from perishing. It’s an interesting change of pace to follow humans now instead of monsters but will see

On a journey to human society.

On a quest to find Shizu's former students, Rimuru is on a journey to find them but a slime cannot simply walk into Mordoor (err Blumund) so with his human friends guiding him and taking on his human guise of Shizu, Rimuru has started a new chapter in his life. He will have to do his best to make new allies and face new challenges to come as he discovers the truth about people from our world being summoned to this world.
