Fate’s Fools #3

Fool’s Paradise

Rate this book
Deva Rainsong never expected to find a soul mate, now she has two and is on the run from Fate. The elusive divine entity has it out for her and has begun terrorizing the bloodline Deva has sworn to protect. Yet the young chimera and her five lovers still have no idea what it is Fate wants, or why she is so important to it.

The only thing she is sure of is that she needs a complete soul in order to have a chance at standing up to Fate, but for that to happen, she needs her human lover on board.

Bodhi Dylan is still getting used to the unusual, yet intriguing customs of the higher races. He's fallen head over heels for the beautiful dark-skinned chimera, but doubts he can measure up to the prowess of his higher races counterparts. Besides, he can't quite wrap his head around how the whole "harem" thing works. Because if he agrees to Deva's proposition, that's exactly what he'll be part of.

But when he learns his participation is the key to her happiness, he'll have to make a choice. Agree and risk inviting more of Fate's wrath, or deny her to keep her safe.

Ophelia Bell is the author of the super steamy Sleeping Dragons series. Ophelia loves hot alpha heroes, especially if they’re dragons, but believes the world needs more alpha heroines, so has made it her mission to make that happen. Ophelia grew up on a rural farm in North Carolina and now lives in Los Angeles with her sexy tattooed alpha husband and five-and-a-half attention-whoring cats (one of them is exceptionally large and might actually be a dragon in disguise).

Sometimes you don’t know what you have until it’s ripped out of you by fate.

Deva and her men continue their adventures.
Bodhi and the boys meet Nikhil, Deva’s pops (who has his own awesome stories).
There’s a ton of action and steam.

And ends in a cliffhanger.
Deva doesn’t have Ozzie.
And she doesn’t know what she had until he’s gone.

Oh man things just got crazy! I love this series, Deva and her men are being put through the ringer. Revelations and connections are made, danger is a constant looming shadow and a few new faces join the mix. I don’t want to give anything away, I will say that this book has the same level of action, steam, intensity and emotion that Ophelia has provided thus far. The writing is still amazing and the characters have stolen my heart! Highly recommend this series and honestly anything written by Ophelia Bell because her writing and creativity is amazing!

Why is it that I find myself skimming through most of these books until I almost reach the end, that’s when the book gets really exciting but the book abruptly ends on a cliffhanger and I’m left wanting!

With that mini rant over, I will say this third installment was more of the same stuff. It’s crazy how I can practically predict what’s going to happen, at least between Deva and her mates, because while Deva is a Chimera, she is ridiculously predictable which makes her character a bit boring at times. When she takes on a leadership role, her character totally flourishes and I love that aspect of her. Those mini tantrums regarding Llyr...yeah not so much.

My favorite part of this installment was the concert! That shit sounded awesome! I would love to see something like that, fictional band or not Fate’s Fools fucking rock! Oh and Maddie’s unique situation was also very interesting! I was very happy for her...for all of them!

I can’t say that I’m giving up on these installments due to the cliffhangers, though I hate those things, truth is I’m so invested in Deva and these characters that I just need to see where this all eventually ends. Now I just want to know or rather am curious to know what Deva plans on doing about Llyr and Ozzie, I just hope she goes about her decisions in a smart and mature way...

Deva vs Fate round 3 (a truce?)

Holy drama Batman was this book intense! I wasn't expecting so much action and plenty of filth to go around. (Seriously I need a shower now)

Character breakdown;

Bodhi: I loved how much more I got to read about him and how he got more than even here thought when he mated Deva. I like him even more now.

Deva: well besides the fact that she is at goddess level apparently she sure does go through a lot of crap. But I love seeing her grow with every book and gain new power.

Llyr: I'm seriously dying to know how his mating to Deva will go because the man fascinates me and his devotion to Deva is so charmingly sweet. I want too see his happiness come.

Ozzie: I'll admit I wasn't a fan of Ozzie since this series started but now I like to see Ophelia give the man a break.

Rohan & Keagan: still love them both so darn cute and much more filthy than originally thought.

Fate: I understand it more, don't like it, but I understand

Chaos: YES PLEASE!!

Favorite quote: When you were lost And the world was dark No care for the cost I dared to embark To find you, to find you . . .

I seeing more of the pattern where the author might be taking this and I have a suspicious feeling that Ozzie is going to suffer more and more. But despite that I look forward to reading what comes next. I am extremely curious about Chase and the bloodline with more power than normal. I would love to jump right into the author's mind to know!

Oh my god what an extraordinary story Completely well written and thought through. This books had such a wonderful flood to it I could not put it down. I read it through in one sitting.
This is Deva's continuing story. In this book she learns some very important keys. For one how important it is that she claim Bodhi. This book is mostly about the two of them and what they need to do in order to help her defeat fate. He thinks he has the upper hand but they discover a little hitch in his plans. He may not be as all seeing as he claims to be. Now she’s in a race to claim all of her mates before it’s too late. I still can’t wait to read the next book. This is been one heck of a ride and I don’t want to see it end but as I say that I want the next book now.
Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do; they value your opinions too.

I wonder what Deva Rainsong sees, I wonder what she feels as she stares at the reflection in the mirror? He loved me all along....

Finally, a small victory in her struggle with Fate, well maybe not that small, but at what cost?
Nothing is at it seems and why would Ozzie do this? What has Fate done with Ozzie??

Does Deva have it in her to do what Fate demands to save the bloodline once and for all?

This series intensifies with each release and at times will leave you breathless. Full of delightful characters on a quest to 'save the world'...well at least part of it. I love the emotion, the characters personal discoveries and the relationship building. Personally, I'd dial back on the angst a little, but that's a personal preference...I'm a no nonsense kinda girl.

This is book 3, I highly recommend you get started, there's more to come!

This is the third book in the Fate's Fools series. It's a fast-paced and continuation from Book Two that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. There's action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, twist/turns, enemies, survival, intrigue, mystery/secrets, surprises, trust, truths, conflict, happiness, pain, fear, anger, protection, confusion, hurt, agreement, magic, strength, romance, passion/lust and love.
In this story, each character has their own opinion in the part they play in what happens in the race against Fate.
Will get human lover come on board? Or will Fate get what it wants, Deva.
Read to find out what happens. Can't wait to read the next book by this author.

To think I thought this series couldn't get any hotter - boy was I wrong. You will need all kinds of cooling devices when reading this book as a fan or cold shower will just not cut it.

Bodhi finally gets his chance to make a serious play for Deva but it is not without obstacles. Secrets are revealed and Deva doesn't know what she has until it is lost to her. Deva finally meets Fate and has decisions to make regarding the bloodline and her mates. Chaos makes an appearance and strikes a deal with Deva.

Written from a multiple pov, no cheating and ends once again on a serious cliffhanger. This book should not be read without first reading the 2 previous books in this series. Again, I cannot stress enough how hot this book gets, so prepare yourself.

This series just keeps getting better

In this 3rd installment, we find Deva searching for missing people, love mates, and her own strength. She has activated her dragon and ursa aspects, has found the link which binds them together, and has embarked on a journey to find mates for those humans with higher level blood. But Fate isn’t the only entity looking for her, and Fate’s hounds aren’t the only danger she, her mates, and her friends face. Can they find Sandor in time? Can they stop the hounds from killing the un-mated? Can she discover what Ozzie has been hiding from her and regain the wind? Will she ever be whole?
This book was very satisfying, but ends with another cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read the next installment in this story.

Another extremely hot read. Deva already has two parts of a soul courtesy of the two mates she has already taken but she and they and the rest of the “boys” have realized is that in order for her to be whole it will take the other three to hop on the “band” wagon and agree to joining. Fate doesn’t like that idea at all and tries to stop it but even Fate has its weaknesses. This book pulled my emotions up and down. The sex scenes are as always with one of Ophelia’s books extremely hot. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series to see what happens next.

Oh My! I love this series!! This is another spellbinding book in the Fate’s Fools Series that I absolutely couldn’t put down. I read it almost non-stop!!! There are a lot of twists and turns that I totally did not see coming. And the ending (a cliff hanger) left me anxiously awaiting the next book to see what happens next. I’m hoping for major forgiveness given to the remaining two of Deva’s (now) future mates. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book picks up right where the last book left off. Deva and her delightful male collective continue to bind themselves closer to one another, while trying to outwit Fate. The drama, intrigue, angst, emotions, chemistry and heat just keeps intensifying, as the story continues to enthrall. There are twists, turns, recriminations and revelations that left me wanting more. I can't wait to read what comes next. I read a complimentary copy of this book.

** If you're new to the series, it is necessary to read the books in order.

I voluntarily received and gladly review an Advanced Reader Copy of Fool’s Paradise. An awesome continuation of the previous books. That being said, however, without reading the previous 2 books, you will be utterly and completely lost. You will not get the full impact of this story or the storyline. I did go back and gloss over the previous book so it was fresh, before jumping into this book. I loved this book. I really enjoy the unique storytelling ability of this author.

I truly love this series. It has everything a lover of the paranormal romance reader could want. There is action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, twist/turns, bad people, intrigue, surprises, love, lust and hot sexy times. The characters in this book (and the entire series) are strong but with vulnerabilities. I really love how each book answers some of the questions from the previous books and at the same time, sets up the next book so seamlessly. I can't wait for the next book! I voluntarily received this ARC and this is my honest review.

Oh my where to begin with how amazing this book is. It has everything you could ever want for example it has shifters, magic, drama, music, love, and of course romance. The characters draw you in and make you fall in love with them, each have their own part to play and strengths that are brought more to life throughout the story. It's very detailed and very well written and easy to follow I couldn't put it down. I love this book and recommend it to everyone.

Ooh this is a very good continuation of the Fates Fools series. Deva's saga continues with a meeting with Fate and a new, character Mr. Chase, who may or may not be helpful or a hindrance. You'll have to read the book to find out. The romance is steamy as usual and leaves you wanting more. The story is well written and fun, looking forward to the next one anxiously!

This is the third book in the Fate's Fools series and I must say that things got super crazy in this book. Many connections and revelations are made through the danger that is hiding in the shadows. All the guys get to meet Deva's dad Nikhil and oh boy, is he pissed. The ending of this just broke my heart and I hope there is a fix to what happened in the next book.

An epic adventure and a race to keep a head of Fate and his/her hounds.
Deva can't understand why Fate would want to deter her from joining with her soul mates and hurt the bloodline.
Many answers are found but more questions pop up in their place.
Will happiness find all involved without sacrifice?
Read on to find out!
Love this book!

I soooo can't believe what happened 2 Ozzie. Fate is a real asshole!! It was awesome that even though they met choas they were able 2 find Maddie's soulmate that was hurt by fate. Fate had no rt 2 hurt him since he was innocent victim. It was awesome that she tricked fate 2 let go of his petty issues with the tural and now they can b free just like every higher race does now. I soooo hope that Ozzie is found asap and lyr is 4given asap. I soooo can't wait 4 more asap!!

I’ve read a few of Ophelia’s books and each time I wonder if she can top the last. Well let me just tell you that with each and every book she does just that! This series has sucked me in from the very first page and the twists and turns keep you on the edge of your seat. I’m going to very sorry when this series ends, but hopefully it won’t be anytime soon.

I love the Fate's Fools series, and this installment draws us ever closer to getting answers. The twists and turns keep pulling me into the games at hand. Deva has not one, but two soul mates, and she and her lovers bond in more sizzling moments while they try to stay a step ahead of Fate. And the mysterious Mr. Chase enters the game, but what is his agenda? With more intrigue and adventurous times ahead, I'm anxiously awaiting the next book!

I really am enjoying this series. Deva is such a caring and compassionate person and deserves the best. Bodhi really wants to be there for her and step up even if it endangers him. This third book really puts everything in play and it will be exciting to see what happens now that so much is out in the open.

Awesome! Finally getting some answers to Ozzie's dilemma. I have been following Ozzie's story for a long time. And in this one, you get some answers. You meet intriguing characters along the way that entice you as well. This is the best book in the series which is saying something because I loved the first two books so much. Can't wait for the next book.

OMG! This series is getting extremely hot and intense. Fate is definitely not liking that Deva doesn’t fall into his rules and definitely doesn’t follow them. This one centers around finding and saving one of their friends and finding his fated mate. This relationship and scenes are very extreme with no limits. Expect m/m, m/f and m/f/m/m. So like I said no limits. I can’t wait for book four.
