Caleb has just signed a contract with a new team which is part of a new league and so his football career isn't over. His focus: the game. Too bad their team is on a downward spiral before they can even begin and their starting quarterback is at the center of all the doom. No one can stand the guy, but Caleb is determined to make the most of a bad situation. He's just got to keep his head on straight. He had no plans for a relationship because he couldn't guarantee that he'd be staying in town. But what quickly developed between him and Jodi was obviously the furthest thing from casual and he would give anything to stay a part of the losing team if it meant he'd get to keep her.

I had high hopes -- it's football romance and I love a good game. This was no winner for me though. The writing felt awkward and stiff, the characters immature, and the storyline limited. I just wasn't in it to win it. I don't think I'll be moving forward with this series.

I'm a big S.R. Grey fan, as I've always found her stories to be highly addictive, so there's nothing better than Ms. Grey creating a story about my happy place, football, since I'm 100% obsessed with this exciting sport. Fair Catch is the story of Jodi Knapp, a wedding planner, who finds herself in a bad situation, who is rescued by Caleb Fortier, one of the best tight ends to ever play the game. She instantly feels an attraction to her sexy rescuer, but doesn't trust her heart one bit, so she's leery despite the instant attraction she feels for him. Caleb is having a very bad time in life at the moment, as critics are calling him washed up, but he's positive that he has a bit more in the tank, so he's determined to prove them all wrong. And that means that he's not in the market for love, as it's a complication that he has no spare time for, but that was before rescuing the beautiful wedding planner, who he has an instant attraction to. So to recap, we have a pro football player who isn't looking for love while making a comeback, as football is his first love, and a wedding planner who doesn't believe in love. I can't help but chuckling over that sentence, especially the whole wedding planner who doesn't believe in love situation. Well, lets start with their chemistry, because see, it's intense & already started simmering the moment they met. And it doesn't take a genius to figure out that when you find those type of sparks, it just won't be denied for very long, and honestly, the heart wants what the heart wants. However, there is a push & pull because of certain walls up high, and a man working at a big comeback. I would go on, but really, there's no reason to as spoilers could make an appearance by accident, since I loved this story. So, here's the deal, will Caleb show Jodi that she should give love another chance?! Or, will he be too focused on his comeback? Or even, will Caleb realize he can have both?! Fair Catch holds all the answers, so I would encourage everyone just one click this amazing story as soon as possible, because I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

This was an enjoyable read. Caleb plays for one of the worst football teams ever. One night he sees a woman in need. That woman happens to be Jodi. After saving her from a bad date with one of his teammates they start a relationship. Of course there is drama but in the end it all works.

OMG!!!!!!
This book had me hooked from start to finish and I absolutely loved both Caleb and Jodi. So much so, you couldn't help but want to be friends with them.
Caleb has a rather sad team he's playing for and when things get pretty bumpy hes not sure what will happen, then he meets Jodi...Oh boy, you can feel the sizzling chemistry between them and the way they get along is amazing...like they've been friends for ages. The banter was brilliant and Jodi with her best friend Becca was fun to read about, they really have each others backs.
Can Caleb rule with his heart or his career?? There is some suspense as well, and I was on tenderhooks as to what would happen. I could have read so much more about these two. Brilliant story!!

(audiobook) I was excited about this book because of... hum... the narrators, and because it's a sport romance. Neither disappointed: the narrators did a great job, and there's really some football in this sport romance. The rest, though...
I liked the characters. Jodi is fun and her relationship with her best friend is priceless. Caleb looks like an alpha male but is instead a real gentleman. They meet when he saves her from a terrible blind date with the local a**hole--the new quarterback of the Comets where Caleb plays as tight end. The dynamics between the trio, plus Bridezilla, the horrible bride Jodi is working for, is great. A real trainwreck.
Everything happened too fast though. The chapters are short and to the point. I didn't have time to really dive into the story. And there wasn't enough tension for my taste--the real obstacle to the relationship appears near the end, and is quickly resolved.
A lot of potential, and I may come back to this author because I really enjoyed her characters. Not the masterpiece I was expecting though.

I must say S.R. Grey pulls you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end! Caleb and Jodi have an undeniable chemistry, but Caleb wants to keep it casual but his head and heart are saying two different thing. When things get hot and heavy, there's a confrontation between teammate and Caleb runs scared!

Having just signed a contract with a new football team, Caleb, a Tight End, is determined to make this season his. Too bad their Quarterback didn't get the memo. When he saves Jodi from a date going all wrong, he never expected love to be in the cards. This book has its ups, downs and laugh out loud moments. S.R. Grey did an amazing job on this book. I'm excited for more.

Book two in the latest exciting new series from S.R. Grey and I was so excited to dive in.
They believe that tight end, Caleb Fortier is washed up, but he is bound and determined to prove the critics wrong. He has no time for love and yet fate steps in to put a spanner in his plans in the form of Jodi Knapp.
Jodi has been disappointed in the past and although she is a wedding planner, she does not believe in love or a happily ever after.
When Caleb rescues Jodi, he has no idea that their lives will change in a variety of ways. Although they are both attracted to one another, neither are ready to pursue the chemistry between them which is off the charts.
Will Caleb be able to show Jodi that love is real or will he remain focused on football?
I really loved both Caleb and Jodi, separately and especially together. Fair Catch is extremely well written with characters that will engage you and a story that will draw you in, hook,line and sinker. There was plenty of steam, laughter and romance and I absolutely devoured it. Caleb is certainly swoon worthy and Jodi is a woman who could certainly be a friend.
This was a great addition to the series and I cannot wait to see who will be next in the Men of Fall series.

Caleb Fortier is the new tight end for the football team .. Columbus Comets’ .. he sees the future as living right here with right now because he isn’t sure how this team of some or one misfit will last. He doesn’t was to get attached or buy a house because he says .. who know what next year will bring ??
One thing he didn’t count of was meeting his match in Jodi Knapp, a wedding coordinator that can give it as good as anyone can take it and more. For the first touch, sight and kiss they both feel this is more than just an attraction but when Caleb get cold feet he may just destroy the BEST thing that has ever happened to him .. besides football.

This is book two in the Men Of Fall series and it did not disappoint. I read book one liked that one, but I liked this better. With football season upon us, this is the perfect red. I read it one go and now I honestly think I may have my reading groove back. This book had just the right elements to keep the reader there.
Jodi Knapp has her own business with her best friend. Ske is a wedding planner. She goes on a blind date for her friend because she is under the weather. I love her lack of no filter.

When Jodi helps her bestie out by going on a blind date in her place, Jodi almost immediately regrets helping. A date that is super handsy and making her more uncomfortable with every second that passes, she ends up locking eyes with a hottie at the bar, who ends up coming to save the day. Thankfully instead of causing a huge scene, the hottie, Caleb, knows her blind date and ends up getting the date to leave. When the two of them are left to their own devices they strike up conversation and their mutual attraction grows quickly. But for Caleb a relationship is the last thing he needs, but Jodi makes it super hard to just keep things simple. Will Caleb let his fears keep them from having anything substantial?
This was an ok read. With some really tame naughty times and a bit of low key drama, this was nice afternoon read. I give this 4 stars.

Caleb was certainly more than a fair catch !! Caleb has just received a second chance on the football field with an up and coming team ...The Comets . Jodi is a wedding planner that just did her bestie a favor by going out on her blind date. The date is more than disasterous and a handsome man comes by to save the day. Caleb should be focusing on football but soon finds the lovely woman in front of him more captivating ! This was a great quick read that takes you from the football field to the business of wedding planning and then on a whirlwind romance with quite a few bumps in the road!!!

This is the second book in the men of fall series and I have to tell you that it does not disappoint.
The chemistry between Caleb and Jodi is freaking great.
This book left me super satisfied and there was points where I seriously laughed out loud because it was just that great.
This story has its highs and lows and leaves you turning the page as fast as you can because you just HAVE TO know what happens next.
Let me just say I’m glad that Jodi didn’t like Dumbo and was ogling over Caleb from the start!!!

I love S.R. Grey's writing and love her books, but this book wasn't a favorite of mine. I had a hard time connecting to the characters. It's a good story, but I felt detached from the characters. I really liked Caleb. He's good book boyfriend material. I loved Caleb and Jodi's date at the fair. That was my favorite scene in the book. I really didn't like Dan, Caleb's teammate. Though I wasn't the only one because he rubbed many people the wrong way in the book. I was waiting for karma to deliver some justice. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

Jodi and Caleb meet while she is on a terrible date with one of his teammates. Caleb saves her and the chemistry is alllll there. These two are pretty adorable falling for each other. Caleb isn't sure about being in a relationship because he should be focusing on football, but there is this pull to Jodi he really can't ignore. Jodi is falling and she can't help it.
There is a slight of suspense, their connection is there, cast of characters were fun. I enjoyed their story and looking forward to the next book in this series of football guys.

Fair Catch by S.R. Grey is the second book in the Men of Fall series and gives us a fun and charming sports romance. Caleb is dealing with so much right now, including an unsure future. The last thing he has time for is romance. Then a sweet and sassy wedding planner enters his life. Jodi does not believe in love after being hurt before. And yet she is drawn to Caleb. Together they share great chemistry and I loved the banter between them. A quick, sexy and charming read!

This is the 2nd book in this awesome series, and is Caleb and Jodie’s story. When Caleb and Jodi lock eyes in a bar, he comes to her rescue when she is in a sticky situation and the chemistry between then is sizzling. This is a beautifully written story which is humorous, with witty banter and with just a tad suspense, which all kept me hooked and intrigued throughout. I highly recommend for all.

Found this to be an enjoyable read! There is a lot of indecision and doubt as Caleb and Jodi work toward a relationship. Will jealousy split them apart? Great characters with interesting interactions add to an entertaining story. Recommend this book!

She stepped in to help her friend on a blind date and ended up meeting her soulmate. Jodi was on the blind date from Hell when Caleb came to her rescue. They hit it off and everything moved along with them. They were very little suspenseful moments but you also get lots of steamy ones and funny moments. Great read and great secondary characters.

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. Caleb I find is really different from Graham. I mean Graham was hot shot. And Caleb is trying stay a float but the man does have potential. Jodi was really up beat, but I have to be honest here and say I felt there connection was kind of forced. Like they were trying to hard. Cause I mean Caleb's main goal is football. Which in my opinion took away that spark from them.

Caleb isn't really fussy when it comes to the activities he does with his woman, "...now we’re on our way to some mystery location of her choosing. That’s cool. I like surprises. I don’t care where we end up anyway, so long as I’m with her." Sometimes its just easier to let his woman have whatever, "...she’s in a feisty mood. But she wavers in her insolence when her eyes trail down my almost-naked body. Smirking, I reply, “You keep the sweatshirt. It looks better on you, anyway.” I liked this book, I loved Caleb.

Love this sports series!! Hot football players and romance mixed with an interesting storyline. I found myself laughing and enjoy this story wondering what was going to happen next. Caleb and Jodi had the perfect amount of chemistry and the suspense aspect of the story made things more intriguing. One story you want to check out and definitely a series not to miss. Looking forward to Lars story.

Loved this story! Although I've found I love everything I read from this author! Flawless writing that you can't read fast enough, characters you can't help but love! Caleb and Jodi have irresistible chemistry that draws you in to their story! I highly recommend this story and this author to everyone!

I loved the second book to the Men of Fall series! It had humor that made me laugh out loud! It had relatable feelings. It had enough suspense to keep you guessing! I automatically liked the main heroine because or her klutziness and lack of filter! Such a great book and author! It made me feel like I was reading a Hallmark Mysteries movie!

S.R. Grey writes another fabulous novel set in her “Men of Fall” series, she is truly a master at writing sports romance. The story immediately captures my attention and holds it straight to the end. The characters are realistic and easy to relate to. I adored the two leads, Caleb a 27 year old football player who wants to prove that he is not at the end of his glory on the field and that he still has it as a tight end. He is picked up by a team in a newly created league, the Columbus Comets. He is committed to give it all he has got. The story flows naturally and there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, both relationship and team, some angst, some twists & turns, heartfelt moments and some hot romance. S.R. Grey, thank you for another great and entertaining story.
I listened to the Audible edition, Reagan West and Teddy Hamilton are fabulous narrators and voice artists. They do a fantastic job portraying the characters, humanizing them, giving each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture and project the characters emotions into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. S.R. Grey writes another fabulous novel set in her “Men of Fall” series, she is truly a master at writing sports romance. The story immediately captures my attention and holds it straight to the end. The characters are realistic and easy to relate to. I adored the two leads, Caleb a 27 year old football player who wants to prove that he is not at the end of his glory on the field and that he still has it as a tight end. He is picked up by a team in a newly created league, the Columbus Comets. He is committed to give it all he has got. Once I started to read it I simply couldn't outburst down. It was that addictive.

Each chapter will hook you up even more than the latest. You'll see.
