Until Christmas by T.K. Chapin is a delightful Christian festive offering and part of the Potter’s House series. A perfect read for any time of year.
The main theme of the novel is that of trust. “Everything seems a mess, but I am choosing to trust You.” Even when life is falling apart, we can trust that God has a plan for our lives. Whatever is happening, God is in control. “I feel like God is so distant and quiet.” Our feelings are an unreliable gauge God is working for our good, regardless of what we are feeling.
The story is about true treasure. “Home wasn’t a location… but… a person, a memory and a hope.” Our treasure is always found in a ‘who’ and never a ‘what.’ Money, status and possessions will never satisfy. “He had nice furniture, beautiful art… None of it seemed to help fill the empty void.” We will always be chasing the next ‘high’ if we do not find our purpose in God.
People may let us down. God never will. Once we are secure in God, we will find contentment in ourselves.
We need to discover God for ourselves. “You can’t make a true judgment call about God based on His sinful people… You have to get to know the real God.” If we look for the character of God based on the behaviour of other Christians our view will always be skewed. We need to immerse ourselves in the Word of God to discover and know the heart and character of God.
Until Christmas is so delightful. It has Godly lessons for us all as we learn about the love of God for everyone. Thank you T.K. Chapin for another great story.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.

First, I would like to thank T.K. Chapin for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

Being a big fan of T.K. Chapin for a while now I was very excited when he released his Until Christmas. This book is part of the Potter Series. Lately, I have been on a Christmas book reading binge so this came at the perfect time.

The cover of Until Christmas is one of T.K.’ s best! It is very well done.

In true T.K. fashion he stays true to his faith-based routes and incorporates scripture where it is needed. One thing I like about T.K. is he really gets his message across in a subtle way. In other books of the same genre the author negatively forced their views on to their readers. With T.K. He is always writing about positive issues and sending meaningful life lessons to his readers. I appreciate his writing style and him educating his readers on his faith-based beliefs.

I feel that most of the readers some point in their lives could relate with the character Amanda. Being Christmas time and not having enough money for paying bills, only having one job you are not making much money at, stressing out over money, not sure what you are going to do. I know I could relate to her. My heart went out to her. T.K. creates his characters so that his readers can relate to them. Maybe give them hope if they are struggling in the similar situation. Amanda believed in the power of prayer and it worked for her.

You never know who you are going to meet when shopping for Christmas gifts for your daughter. I loved How Nick and Amanda met. They had a unique start to their unique relationship.

I have been on some bad blind dates before but WOW T.K. really gave Amanda a bad one when she hooked her up with Tom!!

In this clean, sweet, romantic, inspirational, adventurous, humorous, and filled with Christmas warmth holiday story, Amanda takes a second job as the holidays quickly approach because there's not enough money to even stay caught up on bills, but can this extra job turn out to be more than an extra paycheck? Can a chance meeting lead to true love? Or does love not always find a way? Nate has grown weary of never seeing his daughter, Sydney, since he moved away after his divorce so he takes an extended trip to spend quality time with her and hopes to inspire her to return to church taking the right steps in her life. Can this trip turn into much more after one fateful night at the mall? What is God's will for Amanda and Nate? I loved this stand alone story of love, hope, redemption, and second chances where two hearts are molded and shaped by the Master Potter and blessed by the greatest love of all.

Someone once told me that our kids need quality time even if we could not spend large quantities of time with them. My friend was sadly mistaken. Maybe that works in the short-term; but over the long-haul, they need lots of quality time. This story beautifully supports that position. The leading male character was alarmed by reports he received from his ex-wife about their young teenage daughter. After spending time with his daughter, she started opening up to him. That in itself was a huge blessing many parents never experience. Whatever the author wanted to convey in the story, the relationship between the father and daughter and the tremendous difference it made in the daughter’s life provides a significant message to dads everywhere. I received an advance copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.

Wonderful Story of Love and Acceptance!

Have you ever read a book and you instantly have a connection? Well, this is that book for me.
I've been going to Spokane, Washington to visit family for years and when I heard this story was based there, I knew I'd love it.
I wasn't disappointed, Until Christmas is a wonderfully written book with sweet, tender moments.
TK Chapin is a gifted author who knows how to write stories that will relate to many people. This story touches on the need for acceptance and love and how the only way to find them is through Jesus Christ. It also covers the subject of where our treasure should be; not in money, jobs, or success, but in Christ who gives all things to us.
I totally enjoyed reading this story and highly recommend picking it up!

This book was an encouragement to me to wait on the Lord. I'm a do-it-yesterday type of person and waiting is always hard for me. As always with Mr. Chapin, real problems of realistic characters are addressed from a Biblical point of view. Being obedient to the Master Potter and letting Him change their hearts, Nate and Amanda find true peace with the circumstances surrounding them. This is a sweet romance as well as a good look at parenthood and what it means and can mean to children. If there was anything negative about the book, I would say it got a little preachy in places. Mr. Chapin usually works the spiritual points into the story without that, but I still enjoyed the book immensely and recommend it without reservation.

I received an advanced reader copy of Until Christmas from the author, T.K Chapin. Feelings expressed in this review are strictly my own.

I found myself in a reading slump as we approached the end of the year. No book seemed to have been able catch my attention or keep me focused. However, I knew I wanted to end my year on a good note and I knew T.K Chapin would not disappoint.

It being Christmas, it was fitting to read a book set around this special holiday. Until Christmas was a warm, short and sweet story about finding time to love and trusting God with your relationship needs. It reminds us that if God will bring us to it.... He will bring us through it.

Thank you T.K Chapin. Your books never disappoint.

I enjoyed this clean Christian romance as it didn't shy away from the fact that life can be messy. Amanda was struggling with finances and takes on a 2nd job as a shop assistant to make ends meet and due to distance, Nate rarely got to see his daughter after his divorce so this book had lots of real life issues needing resolving: relationships - with his daughter after being pretty much an absentee father in the past and working with his ex wife/her new spouse with parenting issues, work/family balance etc. A well written, enjoyable story with a HEA. I received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.

What a heart warming story of putting your faith in God’s plan! All too often we put career, fame, money and position ahead of what’s most important ~ family and our faith. In this story, a divorced father lives half the country away from his only daughter. He comes for an extended visit and reconnects with her. God’s intervention in ways I won’t divulge lead him to make a life changing decision. It’s a beautiful read leaving you uplifted and reassured of God’s love and plan for each of us.

(I received this as an ARC for review.)

Until Christmas by T.K. Chapin was definitely a story that rugged at the heartstrings! A story about a broken marriage and family, and feeling like you’re all alone in the world. It touched on some tough topics like divorce and drug use. But my favorite part was how the love of God was written in throughout the whole story! It was beautifully written and I was so happy to see Nate and Amanda together in the end and Nate’s relationship with his daughter, Sydney, restored! It really showed how through God all things are possible. This was a great read!!

This is a beautifully written book about so many moments we too often dismiss as ‘chance’ when God is always present in our lives “working all things for good”. There are caring moments of generosity for a homeless person, sweet moments of friendship between strangers, difficult moments of acceptance in faith and joyous moments of recognition that God’s loving plans for us are so much better than anything we can imagine.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It made me laugh and required tissues. It is a perfect book for Christmas or just any time.

I like the way this book brings to the fore that we can have a personal relationship with GOD as we make Him the priority in our lives & He is our provider that will make good out of the bad things. I like that GOD provides good out of the things in both Amanda's & Nate's lives. I like how Nate loved his daughter. I like how forgiveness was extended in this book & the good outcome. I like how Nate extended himself & helped a homeless woman & told her about GOD who loves her.

I really enjoyed this book. Amanda has such faith in God's care and faithfulness to meet her needs. She struggles with life decisions, but always turns to God to help her deal with life's difficulties. Nate has some tough decisions to make and also is desirous of listening to God for His leading. I received a complimentary copy of this book, but have chosen to give my honest opinion without any compulsion.

What Really Matters?

This is a fall in love quick but can't work because of distance book. A divorced man with a daughter and puts money and business first, realizes he is missing out on a lot in life. A single woman, hurt from a past relationships falls quickly for Nate, but has to let him go since he does not live in town. No the characters use prayer and the Bible for answers and strength. I received this as a free book and chose on my own to write an honest review.

Real

I thoroughly enjoyed this faith-based story! There was enough scripture and references to actually consider this book Christian fiction. I enjoyed getting to know the realistic characters and seeing how God uses even chance meetings for His plan. I found myself sad the book had come to a close.
Another wonderful read by TK!

Listen for God

Wow that was a wonderful tale of romance and family. He meets a lady named a trip to be with his daughter. The daughter is acting out but settles down for her father. Daughter’s family doesn’t do church, but his new girlfriend gets a chance to witness to and encourage her. The rest is pretty much all God so you’ll have to take a look for yourself.

home is where family is

We can learn so much from this book. A daughter might not care about all the monetary gifts. She wants her dad. Amanda got to learn firsthand about God's direction and provision. Very well done!
