Irish Crown

It was one night together. I wasn't supposed to see him again. I never thought I would. And then the six-foot-three cement graffiti wall of badass strode back into my life, and did it with full force.

He's protecting me from his past, and I'm protecting myself against the heated chaos he erupts in my body. It doesn't help that he can do playful and sweet when he's not doing bossy.

But the overly confident playboy Deaglan Kane is danger, has no boundaries, and is totally off limits. And I know behind his walls there's a man with a dark and damaged past. A man more dangerous. A man who has become the greatest threat of all: the Irish Crown.

I have read and enjoyed every single book in the Tear Asunder and Unyielding series. "Shattered by You" and "Perfect Ruin" are two of my all time favorites and I have re-read them many times...

So when I found out that Nashoda was releasing a new book...I did my little happy dance ;) I think I even stalked her a little :P

Gerelateerde afbeelding

Now for those of you who haven't read the previous series yet...no worries. This book can definitely be read as a stand-alone. I'm an assbackwards reader myself so I get it ;) There are some awesome cameos in this one of some of the previous characters, but the storyline pretty much stands by itself.

Eva wakes up after having "the night of her life" with a very sexy Irish God... Turns out this Irish stud is lacking some manners "the morning after" and Eva leaves doing the walk of shame...literally. Being shoved aside like that has made her a bit angry stupid because she leaves the safety of the taxi he called for her...which leaves her all alone in the dark in a very bad neighborhood. This makes her a perfect target...for assault no less.

FOTO BEWERKEN - makkelijk online je foto's bewerken of aanpassen

Eva tries to go on as if nothing happened, trying to put the sexy Irish stud and everything that happened afterward behind her. No point in crying over spilled milk..she has learned this a long time ago... So imagine her surprise when Mr. One Night Stand, shows up at her work...demanding answers about her assault...

Deaglan wasn't prepared to meet Eva. He has his own rules he lives by and a girl as sweet as Eva doesn't belong in his world... She deserves so much more...but we all know the hearts wants what it wants, and letting go isn't that easy. Especially when it becomes clear that Eva is in more danger than expected.

I had a great time reading this one. The banter between the MC's was wonderful and the steam was through the roof. We even got some very nice "dirty talk". The heroine got on my nerves a few times with her indecisiveness... I also had a bit of a hard time believing she would just go home with a man like Deaglan...considering her past. But then I remind myself that this is fiction and I shouldn't think about too hard...I should just enjoy it ;)

I think the cameos were absolutely awesome !! I loved seeing how (my) Kai was doing... It would have even been greater if I got to see Crisis...but hey we can't have it all :P

Makes me feel like re-reading them all again !! Now if I could only get my hands on Vic's book. I've got a feeling his book is gonna ROCK !! Please tell me he is gonna be paired up with Charlotte ??!! Hardass Vic with a single mom...that would be so awesome !! Maybe they can soften him up a bit ;)

I'm at a loss on what to even say about this book. By now I think everyone knows that I'm a sucker for a strong, protective hero and Deaglan was just *swoon* with all of his crazy possessiveness over Eva. I couldn't get enough of it and it had me loving the both of them because for every Alpha thing he did, Eva pushed right back with her own strength. These two were amazing together and they definitely rank high on my list of favorite couples from Ms. Rose.

Their story was also very intriguing with the suspense of trying to find out what exactly Deaglan did and how deep in the underground it went. He was a bit of a mystery but I really liked that about him and that we had to dig to get the information we wanted. It had me captivated and sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to find out everything I could which made for a brilliant reading experience.

This author seems to have a great ability to keep her books right there on the edge of darkness sometimes and it's something I love about them. I'm always wondering just how far she'll go into that world and it never fails to leave me engrossed in the stories. So the bottom line is, read this book and if you haven't discovered the brilliance of Ms. Rose yet then this is the perfect opportunity to do so.

4 Erase all the Bad Stars ⭐

A one-night stand that goes horribly wrong. Now Deaglan Kane is breaking his own rules to fix what he feels responsible for.

He is a wild ride.

And he knew his way around a woman’s body. Knew how to make her beg and scream and make her body quiver.

Good Girl Eva chose the wrong guy to break her dry spell with. Yes, it may have been worth the orgasms, but being promptly kicked out the following morning is mortifying. Making the mistake of not accepting the taxi Deaglan arranged on her behalf, was a huge error on Eva’s part.

Mysteriously badass Deaglan never sleeps with the same girl twice. And Eva is no exception. But a couple of days later when he learns that Eva was hurt while leaving his place forces his inner caveman to right was wronged.

"Deaglan was like jumping off a cliff. Knowing the end was going to hurt but leaping anyway because everything before the landing was worth it."

From being thrown out and never expecting to lay eyes on Deaglan again, he’s back and in Eva’s space at every turn. He may claim it’s for her protection, but the way he is acting speaks volumes. And falling back into bed is proving that his one-time rule doesn’t apply in this instance.

Irish Crown was action packed and reminiscent of vintage Kristen Ashley. Deaglan was the perfectly alpha male that would move mountains to help his girl once he pulled his head out of his ass. The chemistry was hot, the plot not very original and the cover to die for. Don’t get me wrong, this book was enjoyable and good in parts. Unfortunately, I liked it, I just didn’t love it…

IRISH CROWN: Is a standalone romance novel by new to me author Nashoda Rose.

It all started with a one night stand that wasn’t supposed to go any further than that night. He knew she was a ‘rare’ kind of girl but he didn’t want any commitments and she doesn’t belong in his world.

But the morning after he wakes up and tells her he has ‘shit to do’ and basically throws her out the door.

Ruffled feathers Eva does the walk of shame, as she’s leaving his apartment she fights off a mugger, goes about her day as though nothing happened and tries her hardest to get over the Irish sex god that rocked her world, never expecting to see him again. But that’s not how this story goes.

He turns up at her work place all alpha with his sexy Irish brogue and her life is turned upside down. He saw what happened to her outside of his place o his security tape and saying he was a raging bull was an understatement, he was fuming, he couldn’t believe she’d put herself in that position when he’d ordered a taxi to take her to her destination. But both of these characters are pig headed and don’t often follow the rules.

She knows nothing of this Deaglan guy but now he’s taking over her life, he’s taking possessive to another level because this guy is off the charts possessive.

He believes that wasn’t a normal mugging and that her life is in danger. And like a Knight in shining armour she’s under his protection.

This book was so good, I crazy loved these two characters and the other characters that made an appearance in this book, this was a true goody, it had everything, scorching sex, nail biting drama, bomb threats coming from an unknown source which kept me on the edge of my seat. And a sizzling romance that burned brightly.
This most definitely won’t be the last I read by this author, this book just reeled me in and didn’t let go. I’m so glad I took a chance on this, I couldn’t put it down, such a unique read, the twists and turns were an added surprise.

Holy fuck...

Nobody writes a swoony, protective, badass alpha like Nashoda Rose does...

That s like written in stone...

The story

It all started with a fan-fucking-tastic one-night of marvelous sex....and it all ended with his words:
Pet, I got shit to do.

Eva couldn't be THAT wrong about a guy, right?!
I mean, her senses couldn't fooled her like THAT, again...right?!
God dammit...he was THAT perfect.

It was left unsaid, he called her a cab, in which she DID NOT enter, and then she got mugged right outside his warehouse/apartment...

dammit, this couldn't just be any more shitty for Eva...

BUT then, two days later, he walks right into the ER, her working place, demanding a conversation.
Yeah, she couldn't forget the night they spend together, but she also couldn't forget his assholery move, but then again, her gut also told her, despite the hurt pride and all, that there was definitely something about Deaglan Kane , this broody, overly protective, demanding, persistant alpha badass of a man.

Yeah, she couldn't be that wrong about him...and yeah, inspite her trials to avoid him and not pay attention to his constant, dominating presence that he's imposing after he found out she was attacked in front of his place, she can't escape him, with the tight ring of protective team of his friends/colleges working for VUR (Yeah, you know them already - Deck, Connor, Vic, Tyler, Kai *swoon again*) as he slowly penetrates into Eva's life and captures her every essense while organizing and conducting protection against this seemingly phantom threat, Deaglan is convinced it's connected to him and his past, and Eva just found herself in the crossfire...

Until he finds out what is going on, Eva will be under his protection, whether she likes it, wants it or not. For a man, who stays clear of relationships cause of his dangerous business, Eva is sure getting under his skin...
I+d never had a relationship. Never wanted to settle with anyone. But more than that, I never wanted the attachment.

but he can't and won't deny it anymore, and what has started as a one night stand of pure sexual bliss, soon developed into the mixture of carnal desire and feelings of belonging.

And Deaglan protects what's his.
Baby, I broke every fuckin' rule in my book the second I walked up to you. Did it anyway.

But of course, it's not that simple, as Deaglan's past comes barging in all the way from Ireland...and yet he's determined to protect Eva from it, even if it means his own demise...
I didn't deserve her. My past was stained with so much hatred and filth. And yet I couldn't let her go.

I can't give you all of me, Eva. But I'll give you the best pieces I have.

when finally faced with the danger from Deaglan's past, all the little bits of secrets that he never had the chance to explain and reveal, become all-consuming and shattering, cause somehow with all that, it appears that not only has Eva's own past been hard enough to go through BUT it's also linked to Deaglan's past in the way she couldn't ever imagine possible...

now, not only Deaglan needs to save Eva from the life danger, he also needs to salvage and prove the love that merely started...as Eva must realize it too...that there's no escaping him...
Love wasn't about loving only the best pieces. It was about loving all of them

Action, suspense, hot protective badass ALPHA and a feisty, sweet heroine with smooth bickering skills, and scenes of love and hawt steamy passion are just a small glimpse of what this story brings to you in a phenomenal effortless writing of Nashoda Rose.

I have been privileged with an early ARC...

I have been waiting for the next book by Nashoda, my Nash, my music sista...and now, here it is...

and it was WORTH the WAIT, believe me, or don't... *wink*

Irish Crown is a breathtaking contemporary romance by one of my all-time favorite authors Nashoda Rose. With a perfect blend of passion, action, and tender romance, Irish Crown is one captivating read. Eva is a responsible hardworking nurse who would never dream of spending a night with a stranger. And yet, Deaglan Kane is one tatted bad boy that she cannot resist. After spending one night with Deaglan, she never thought she would see him again. When some unexpected circumstances bring the two back together again, Eva is hesitant to trust him. However, Deaglan is not someone who takes no for an answer. Once he decides Eva is his to protect, he isn't letting her go. Both Eva and Deaglan have complicated pasts and as the demons of their past begin to terrorize their present, both are drawn closer together. As passion and romance continue to bloom, Eva and Deaglan will do whatever it takes to find their way together!

"God, I never want him to leave."
Overall, Irish Crown is an absolute must-read for Contemporary Romance fans who enjoy a tatted alpha male paired with a strong heroine. Told in dual POV, Nashoda Rose has crafted a beautiful story with a complex plot. The characters are thoroughly explored and as the secondary characters are revealed, we see many of our favorite characters from the Unyielding Series. I am always excited to read a Nashoda Rose creation because her heroes are protective and beautifully damaged and always paired with strong contemporary women! The pacing of the read is intense as the danger is real for Eva and Deaglan is the only person who can protect her and keep her safe. If you are looking for your next unforgettable read, look no further and download Irish Crown as soon as you can!

I looked up at Deaglan and I finally stepped off the cliff. I had no idea where it led, or when I’d land, but right now it was in the arms of Deaglan Kane.

To say that I've been mildly impatient to get my grabby little hands on this book would be a HUGE understatement. For those that have read Kept From You , then you'll recall Kite's mysterious and sexy cousin, Deaglan. And for those that haven't, not to worry, because this is easily enjoyed as a standalone.
Hatred blurred survival. Survival crushed morals. Morals suffocated under revenge.

If sexy and brooding uber alphas are your thing, you NEED to meet Deaglan Kane. The man is pure tatted temptation. A mystery wrapped in an enigma and all of that in one deliciously sinful package that you can't help but lust after.

Written in Nashoda's signature style of sexy and gritty, Irish Crown sucked me in from the very first chapter.

Eva is a good girl. She's not the type the type that goes home with a sexy stranger that gives her the best night of her life. She's also not the kind of girl that knows how to deal with that same man giving her the brush off the next morning and all but kicking her out. But she is the type of girl that knows how to persevere and maintain her pride. So when that same mystery man that rocked her world shows up at the hospital she works at, demanding to protect her after learning she was attacked as she left his place... Well...she's not sure how to deal with that either.

I absolutely loved Eva. She's strength and vulnerability wrapped in a sassy package that gave as good as she got. And even though she didn't make Deaglan work for it as much as I would have liked, I can't quite blame her for it either. Deaglan certainly makes one impression and no ovary in a 100 mi radius can fight his appeal.

As for Deaglan...GAH. Just GAH! I couldn't get enough of him. His past is a darkly shrouded mystery and with each layer that peeled away, I fell harder and harder for him. I loved seeing his protective and possessive side come out with Eva when he was determined to stay away from her. I loved watching him fall harder and harder for the woman that he never expected.

For those that have read Nashoda's other books, you'll definitely appreciate the numerous cameos here. There's also some new faces that make an appearance that you'll be desperate for more on. One silent enigma, Vic, to name just one.

The book loosely ties in with Nashoda's Unyielding series, which this reader really appreciated. I loved getting more Kai, Deck, and the rest of the VUR team.

If you're looking for a read that has a sizzling romance, page turning suspense, and some high octane action mixed in, then you really can't go wrong with this one. I can't wait for Vic's book next!

I enjoyed this one quite a lot. Although it lost a star for the completely pointless scene with the chick the hero had a ONS with. Like, honestly, do authors have a checklist or something? Because what exactly was the purpose of adding a scene with some skank he slept with when it added nothing and went absolutely NOWHERE? Lord, I am SO tired of this kind of shit in books...the other thing, which wasn't really an issue per se, but this author was drinking some serious KA kool-aid because part of Deaglan's background was straight out of Knight, and it also had a heavy Rock Chick vibe to me.

But as I said, I enjoyed it a lot and will probably give the next book a read...

Irish Crown is the first book I read by this author, Nashoda Rose, and I have to say, I did enjoy it, even with a few niggles. I also felt this had a KA vibe to it, right down to the hot alpha lingo.

Both MC were very likeable, and even though Deaglan was a hot alpha bad-a**, he also had a
sweet and tender side to him. Eva was very sweet, and but was very gutsy when she needed to be. Deaglan and Eva were both dealing with a violent pasts, yet it seemed they needed each other to overcome their fears and help heal their broken hearts. Of course, there were times when I wanted to scream at one of them for being ridiculous, and I figured out the big mystery from the start, but overall, it was a good read.

There is a hint of the next book in the series, and I will probably give it a go, after I go back and read the Tear Asunder and Unyielding series.

The synopsis of this book intrigued me and I looked forward to reading it.
It was interesting enough, but nothing really sucked me in. I felt the writing was too simplistic and there wasn't enough character development in my opinion. On the plus side the story line was gripping. But it just fell a little flat for me. I put it down a couple times before I was able to finally finish it. Overall, just an okay read for me.

In short:
Hero 3/5 | Heroine 3/5 | Plot (Point, Originality) 4/5 | Writing Style 3/5 | Steam 4/5 | Romance 3/5 | Angst-Suspense 3/5 | Darkness 0/5 | Humor 3/5 | Secondary Characters 3/5 | Drama-Conflict 2/5 | Mystery 0/5 | Twists 3/5 | Pacing Fast | Action 3/5

Deaglan is my Rare !!

Free Image Hosting at FunkyIMG.com

What a book it was AMAZING !! Ive been waiting for a book from this author is ages. So when I knew this book was coming I was so so happy. Deaglan and Eva's story is just so good. They have both had there fair share of bad times and Deaglan isn't the easiest guy to deal with. But this sexy Irish guy had me melting from the first page. He is super alpha and so protective. He doesn't do relationships he just does the once rule. But meeting Eva had him in a tail spin she was his Rare and once was never goin to enough.

Free Image Hosting at FunkyIMG.com

Eva is a brilliant character. The things she has been through is crazy. She isn't the timid girl she used to be years ago. She is now strong and sassy and won't stand with the crap from any man. She has been there and done but no more. So when she had finally let her guard down to this hot sexy Irish guy she thought things were looking up. But this is Eva and things don't alway go easy. Deaglan wasn't goin to be a guy that would just walk all over her. She would just kick his back side well try anyway. The only thing was one night with Deaglan wasn't so easy to forget.

Free Image Hosting at FunkyIMG.com

Like I said this book was just brilliant I luvd every part of it. The story was so good. It has everything in it. Deaglan and Eva are so hot together with he sexual tension is alway steamy with them. They also make a really good couple to. She make him better and calms him in a way and Eva needs a guy like Deaglan after what she has been through she doesn't need any more drama and he will protect her no matter what. I would highly recommend this book. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the whole book I was dying to know what was goin to happen. The twists made it so good and seeing some of the other characters from past books just made it even better. There are a few characters that I'm dying for more of so I m really hoping for more of them. Just so I can get more of My sexy Irish guy.

Inhalt: „Bad. Irish.

Excellent writing, with engaging and interesting characters. The female narrator (Justine Eyre) did a great job with both voices and was especially good at narrating the 6 foot 3 Irish playboy. The male narrator was unnecessary and distracting.

A steamy one night stand after a two-year hiatus, kicked out before the morning pee, Eva ends up feeling embarrassed and used. Deaglan is an alpha male with caveman tendencies, but all is quickly forgiven because of his steamy accent and bulging muscles.

I know it sounds like I didn't like this story, but I really did! The characters had depth and the steam was delicious.

OTT and completely ridiculous twist at the end, along with the seemingly required break up scene before the reconciliation. I'd be so happy if authors quit doing this.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Ms. Rose did it again. Another amazing book.

Deaglan was super HAWT and yummy, and a wee bit of an ar$e sometimes. But when he got his head out of his ar$e, amazing. Eva never backed down, but she sure could overthink stuff. There was a seriously nasty bad guy to take care of. Her friends are amazing and I hope they all get HEA (maybe with his friends).

Now let's talk about his friends...It's the boys of RIOT. Yep, Deck and all his peeps. Plus Deaglan knows Tear Asunder and Matt. I was in almost heaven.

After the book...the list of upcoming books is Vic's, that big yummy chocolate bar, and another Tear Asunder book.

I am not exactly sure how long “Irish Crown” by Nashoda Rose was on my reading schedule – but even after the first release was postponed I could not bring myself to take it off the list. Usually I mark these books in Goodreads and clear my reading schedule but I read a bunch of books by this author and I knew this book would be worth keeping it on that list.

Having it there ensured that I would keep in mind to check upon the status regularly and you can imagine my joy when about two weeks ago I got the notice that the book will now be finally released. During one of my check in’s with the author she told me that she felt something as not right with the story so she postponed the release. Now after reading the book I really wonder - I wonder what the plot was like before because now – well now it was damn’ near perfect for me.

It had been a loooooong while since I read her previous books but I directly felt – wow – I know a bunch of these guys (which is a feature considering I read like a 1000 books or so since then NO KIDDING). So I went back to check on the authors book list to refresh my memory – there they were – gosh it all came flooding back. But make no mistake – If you haven’t read anything by this author before – you will be perfectly able to read this book as a standalone – and you will be yearning to hear more about some of the secondary characters. Surprise surprise – their books are already there … Usually with other authors you often get spoilered on these kind of characters and you learn their whole story – so you would never go back to read the other books. Here ? nothing like that – you will only be left with a pull towards these guys wanting to know more about them – and well you can…

With my memories also my NEED came back - how much I loved these character and how I wanted to have more – (greedy little reader that I am) and even I got a surprise – because there is still room for new books as even I found a new and interesting character I want to read more about – (his name is Vic by the way).

And finally – there was this damn near perfect male specimen that got the lead in this book and I am still looking for his flaws – nope sorry couldn’t find anything worth mentioning. Except maybe his questionable taste for one night stands. Interesting is the authors ability to make this character so damn ( I use that word a lot today I am noticing) intriguing without really given a lot of information on him for a loooooong time - #writer magic - I guess. Oh and his Name is “Deaglan” by the way and “he has such a way with words” – well that alone should have been enough to dislike him – but NOPE that did not work.

Any other guy calling telling his girl “Pet, I got shit to do” well – lets say it would not have been pretty But Deaglan well he lets a line like that get followed by “Baby, I broke every fuckin’ rule in my book the second I walked up to you. Did it anyway” –And any half sane woman has molten by the time he is finished speaking.

Eva the female lead feels good to read, believable – not to soft and not to hard as a character. I liked her as she was easy to relate to. So it was no hardship that most of the book is told from her PoV – it only made the few chapters that Deaglan spend with the reader even more remarkable.
There is not a lot of forward and backward like other romances with tortured heroes tend to have – these characters only go one way and that is forward without apologizing. And it’s refreshing. No excuses – no complaining and a male lead that is almost psychic in his abilities when it comes to his woman – crazy ? no more remarkable and probably what every woman dreams about if she is honest with herself.

So is there anything that this book did not have –
Yeah – one tiny thing – MORE PAGES …. And please dear Ms. Rose – do not let us wait to long on the next chapter of this amazing journey through the plots you pull from your mind. I understand perfection like Deaglan needs time but your readers are a greedy bunch and your characters are simply to amazing ….

I liked this book.
It is very much like an early Kristen Ashley, Alpha Hero who works in.... hmm that's vague. He has alpha friends and she has a girl posse.
It starts off a bit like Tack and Tyra, a ONS where he calls her a cab when she's barely opened her eyes.
He doesn't do relationships or anything longterm and she's been in an abusive relationship 2 years ago.

No intimate details other than the Hero and heroine.
Abusive ex drama, other woman (secretary) he had a thing with in the past who flirts but he is all about the heroine.

HEA.

Breadcrumbs dropped about characters I assume are in author's other books.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

GAH!!! Nashoda Rose has legit dropped the mic on one of the most amazing stories she has ever written!!! This story was intense, mysterious, sexy af and so gripping. Deaglan was fiery and protective and so impressively alpha I could not contain my excitement! The explosive banter between them was on another level and I seriously could not get enough. And that prologue?! Good Lord you're not ready for that glorious gutpunch. I was addicted to every word!

Eva thought she was having a great night. But after being unceremoniously thrown out after a mindblowing night with private, sexy and tatted up badboy Deaglan Kane, things go from bad to worse when she is attacked in mysterious circumstances. But she could never have expected her mystery man to come back and offer her protection. What follows is a tumultuous connection with the deeply private, protective and intense Deaglan where all his painful past secrets come to haunt Eva in the present.

Gah this story was INCREDIBLE and pure Nashoda Rose goodness. I loved every word. The story hooks you from the first page and doesn't let you go until the very last word. Deaglan is one of my favorite characters Rose has written to date. He was so real, raw and consuming and his connection to Eva was just so provocatively intense. Their tension and chemistry was palpable off the pages and the underlying suspense and amazing side characters were just the delicious cherries on top of this story!

All in all, Irish Crown was another amazing addition to the Unyielding Series and I seriously can't wait for more (Hello, Vic Gate.) This author puts her heart and soul in her writing and it is clearly evident in this book. Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

Nashoda Rose has done it AGAIN! She has brought her A game to the table and the gavel has been slammed down! Damn girl I missed your writing so much I miss those fun loving boys from Tear Asunder but you brought it with Deaglan.

Deaglan is a man who is a hard man who has had a hard life. So he lives life like no ones business by having one night stands being a manwhore who does not give a shizz about anyone but himself and getting off. Then he has a one night stand with a fiesty woman and she changes everything for him. She is one bas a$$ mother working and living her life until the day she met Deaglan.

When they get together one night something happens to her and Deaglan is determined to find out what happened and protect her but she wants nothing to do with him. She tries to stay away from him but he is determined to make her his but can his past destroy his future? Can he pulled his shizz together enough to grab the girl he wants and keep her?

Reminded me of a Kristen Ashley novel and the hero talked like a KA hero.

I never understand when authors make out a character is Irish yet have them speaking like an American. Deaglan (weird name)! Grew up in Ireland and still spends a lot of time there yet he says Mom. The Irish are more likely to say Ma. He also says asshole not arsehole! Basically he has no irishness about him. At the beginning he calls her 'pet' a lot but then for rest of book it's baby until the end when he's saying Gaelic words!

Eva was OK but a bit too forgiving of Deaglan's past. His past is similar to KA's 'Knight'.

However, I quite enjoyed it, it was an easy read and I'm interested to read the others in the series. If you like KA books you'll probably like this.

I love This author

I really liked this book. Yes there are parts that upset me or I didn't like but you definitely feel the book. I want a man like Deaghlan for me, for my friends, for my daughter, and you get the gist. At first I was like no way but as time went on you felt his love and his protective tendencies. Eva is a nurse and goes on a never done before one night stand. It was awesome but then he kicked her out before she even woke up. I wasn't sure at that point but then it kicks in. She gets mugged outside his warehouse and Deaghlan enters back into her life a week later. He was way over the top but I loved him. Eva was a victim of domestic violence in the past and that really plays into the equation. Deaghlan is convinced it wasn't a mugging and he's off to find the bad guys! There's human trafficking also going on and he is after turbocharger runs it too. I loved all the characters and I need to go back and re-read Kai's and Deck's stories because they are a big part of this. And there are some new ones I really want to read about. Ronan, Tyler and Vic. They are great characters. Yes there is some crude sex scenes, personal hate of mine, but I can overlook them due to the book as a whole. There is violence to for those who don't like it but at the end of this book I was totally involved with their world and I didn't want it to end. I love this author.

I love Rose's novels. Had I known this novel was a spin-off of the Unyielding series, I would have pre-ordered! I love the men of the Unyielding series. I can't wait for the next book.

4 Solid Stars

Ok, so I liked this book a lot but just didn't love it. The writing was great as always, this author is always a go to for me but this story it just lacked something. Maybe it was too fast, maybe I wanted a bit of angst to rev it up...idk, but I do know the ending as much as it was good, it wasn't my type of HEA....I wanted way more than I got sadly.

All in all love this author and cannot wait for Vic's story and even Tyler's too, oh heck Ally and Charlotte and of course I think I can see where Kendra's will be heading...I hope lol.

Holy smoke! Now i know why Nashoda needed more time.....this one’s só hot,my ipad nearly combusted!

What Eva went through with her ex was tough and it hurts to know there are men out there who treat women that way. And her ex was the worst kind of man, trust me!
Deaglan is the very opposite and só protective of Eva,that is.....once he gives in and allows himself to be with that very special girl. The one he knew from the first time he saw her,she was the only one that he needed to treasure, the one he had to do his best to keep.

Only...the past has a nasty way of interfering. Can they survive that past.....and can they survive it together?

Thank you,Nashoda! For this beauty! I loved it!
