From bestselling author JC Harroway comes the third book in the Billionaire Bachelors series!
She made the rules. But he’s changing the game…
Within thirty seconds of meeting Reid Faulkner again, I’m reminded of exactly why I had a crush on him for so many years. That confidence, that effortless control, that thigh-clenching hotness… Only, this time I’m not little Blair Cameron, sexually frustrated teenager. No, now I am an adult woman reliving every filthy fantasy I’ve ever had about him…
His dark, sexy stare is filled with naughty promises. Promises of sex. Great sex.
But I’m here to work for him. I have a contract, and I won’t let any man—no matter how delicious—underestimate me again. So I am proposing a second contract. An unofficial one, where we explore my every desire. It’s the perfect no-strings arrangement—all sex, no emotions. The only problem is that I made a to play by his rules.
Now we’ve crossed that line and tasted the forbidden. It started with only a touch. But will a man who controls everything protect his heart at all costs…even if it means breaking mine?

This is the first book that I have read from this author and I really enjoyed it. It was a quick read that will keep you wanting more. It was well written and the characters were wonderful. It had some touching parts when the brothers are dealing with their father who has the early onset of dementia. This book was all types of hot. If you pick this up, you will not be disappointed.
I don't think I was in the right head space to attempt this one. I wasn't able to connect with either of the characters or the plot. Maybe I'll try again some day because I've loved other books from this author!
Forbidden to Touch by J. C. Harroway is the third story in her sexy Faulkner brothers series ‘Billionaire Bachelors’.
Working in the family hotel business, eldest brother Reid Faulkner knows that the mantle of leadership falls to him, especially with his father experiencing memory problems that might signal early onset dementia. When he discovers his father has made a business contract with family friend Blair Cameron to do some major interior design renovations, he’s reluctant to go through with the plans during the hotel’s busiest time but understands that honoring the contract is something his father would want. And it’s no hardship to be in Blair’s company.
Blair’s family has a friendly business rivalship with Reid’s but unlike the rest of her family, she’s set off on her own with an interior design company. Though she had initially started it with her fiance, when she found him cheating on her it was the start of the end of their personal and professional partnership. A contract with a big hotel chain like Faulkner’s is what she needs to get her business back on track. Blair has harbored secret fantasies of Reid since she was a teenager. Back in Reid’s presence, those fantasies nudge her to take a leap of faith and make a double deal with him – do business together, and indulge in some sexy no strings attached nights. Reid is definitely interested, but will they be able stick to their deal of separating business and pleasure?
Blair Cameron has had a crush on Reid Faulkner since she was a teenager. Now, she’s renovating the hotel that Reid’s family owns. Can she stay away? Or, will she give Reid a chance to fulfill all of her dreams? This was a contemporary romance with a lot of steam but something was missing. I wanted more from the other characters. I wanted to know more about Blair’s family. I felt like I didn’t get the whole story. Knowing that this book is part of a series, I may need to read them all. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily reviewing it.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. I love a steamy romance along with hot scenes that will take me away from the every day to a fictional paradise and this book does it great justice!
Very steamy read, great characters and interesting story overall. The fact that she’s ten years his senior is even better for me as there aren’t many books like this and I was so happy to read another strong woman who will be toe to toe with her lover. The fantasies, the contracts and everything they go through will keep you wanting to read faster than any other books.
Forbidden to Touch is the third book in the Billionaire Bachelors series by J.C. Harroway.
When I first started reading the book I worried that it was going to be one of those that have a lot of sex scenes just for the sake of it with no real storyline to get into. How wrong I was though. The more I read the more involved I got in the characters lives. By the end of the book, I felt as if I had read a really good story with just a bonus of the passionate sex scenes.
Reid Faulkner and Blair Cameron are the main characters. Blair has been employed as an interior designer by Reid's father to renovate their smallest, yet flagship hotel. The problem is that since she signed the contract Reid's father has become ill and has retired from the business, and Reid knows nothing about the contract.
Blair convinces Reid that she is up to the job, she also convinces him to have a no-strings sexual contract too. She has known him for years. When she was a teenager and he was 10 years her senior she never dreamed that she could even have a kiss from the man that she seriously fancied. Now, years later she is more than ready to have that kiss and much much more from him. He is happy to oblige.
They both come with baggage from their pasts which is why they are happy to have a no-strings relationship, but as their feelings begin to grow for each other will that baggage cause a permanent rift between them?
If you like your books sweet with any intimacy behind closed doors this definitely is not the book for you. Blair and Reid have a hot steamy sexual relationship where he acts out the fantasies she has admitted she used to have about him when she was younger. You might need a fan handy when reading this book! As I said though, this book isn't just sex, the story held me 'til the end and I was more than happy with the outcome.
Book three in the 'Billionaire Bachelors' series is Reid and Blair's story and it is sizzlingly hot.
Reid is the sensible older brother, except where his first wife was concerned, his trust in her ultimately threatened his family, and he vows not to make that mistake again When Blair, turns up unexpectedly he is surprised on three fronts. Firstly that his father commissioned her to refurbish The Faulkner, their anchor hotel, without his knowledge. Secondly, she is no longer the moody, shy teenager he remembers, from ten years ago. Finally that he is distractedly attracted to her.
Her offer, surprises and excites him and he aims to make all her fantasies come true. Unfortunately, this doesn't guarantee them a happy-ever-after. They have professional conflicts, internal issues with trust, and family issues and expectations to consider.
The story is explicit, passionate and sensual, but the physical ecstasy is soon accompanied by emotional attachment. Can they trust each other, to go for what they want?
An incendiary ending for the billionaire bachelors. The perfect, sizzling Summer series.
I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon via NetGalley in return for an honest review.
Reid likes to make sure his girl is taken care of, ‘I’m going to run that bath. And then I’m going to let you sleep for a couple of hours before I drive you home.’ I silence her objections with another brief kiss..." I liked this book, I liked Reid.
Their dad is suffering from memory loss. The doctors have given him a diagnosis they don’t want to accept. Therefore, will be taking him for a second opinion. Since they own a chain of luxury hotels that is their family business it leaves his three sons no choice but to step up.
Reid had been groomed to one day take over the business work from the ground up. But his dad is only sixty. So, instead of sailing, he will now be captain of the Faulkner Group. His brothers Drake and Kit will be there to help. Not only at the office but with Graham their father.
They believe the transition has been smooth until they find out Graham had scheduled and hired a small company to redecorate. At first, Reid thought he would enter the meeting dismiss the decorator because their too small to handle any job of their scale. But when he takes the meeting it’s none other than Blair Cameron. Her father is his father’s friend, business rival (friendly one), and golfing pal.
Growing up they both had been attracted to one another. But with the ten-year age difference. They both knew nothing could come of it. But now they wouldn’t mind exploring and still, nothing comes of it. Their libidos were in dire need. Both their exes had left terrible lasting effects.
Now a verbal contract can change everything for them. Will it help keep them detached as they want or bind them together, especially, with their families.
I enjoyed this book, a nice change where she got to fulfill her fantasies. I liked how they were so comfortable with each other once they got past the second meeting. Their banter was funny and sweet. This is one sexually charged couple. Her relationship with his dad is interesting. But caring and sweet too, not wanting to give it away.
Wow! The new Dare series is nothing like the norm for Harlequin. It is exciting, enticing, and keeps you in tune with the characters. Not saying that Harlequin was dull. Just saying that this book is super spicy! So what that Blair and Reid grew up as family friends. So what that they are 10 years apart. Ten years are just a spatter on the calendar when they come back together to fulfill a contract that Reid's dad put in motion. She fits with the family. She knows his past and hopefully she wants to be part of his future.
I just finished this book and really enjoyed it. Actually I couldn't put it down. I like the fact that the Reid and Blair switch roles in their relationship rather than always retaining their archetypal roles with the man being the instigator and the woman just going along with what he says. It was (bitter)sweet to introduce Graham's condition - I've gone through a similar situation with my father, and I thought it was a nice, and unexpected touch. I would love to read other books by JC Harroway - an excellent writer. Thoroughly enjoyable book.
Sexy and fun. Ten years is a lot when you're young, but this story tells the tale of the advantages of that age gap when you meet again as adults. This was a fast paced and fun read with a perfect HEA. There were some very emotional scenes with the guys' father as he battles dementia. Well written and plotted. I love this DARE line ny Harlequin and this author fits it perfectly.
Reid is now running the family business due to his father's health issues. Blair has come to work due to a contract she signed with the father. She has had a crush on Reid for years and now she offers a second contract for him to complete her sexual fantasies. This book is steamy and emotional.
Within thirty seconds of meeting Reid Faulkner again, I’m reminded of exactly why I had a crush on him for so many years. That confidence, that effortless control. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.JC Harroway is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can't wait for the next book.
Reid Faulkner is used to being in control. When his father starts showing signs of dementia, Reid steps in to ensure the family business continues to thrive. When Blair shows up for a meeting to discuss the renovation plans for the Faulkner flagship hotel, Reid is thrown for more loop than one. Not only was he completely unaware of their meeting, he was unaware his father had discussed changing their flagship hotel. On top of that, little Blair grew up into quite the confident and sexy woman. Reid has been avoiding anything romantic since his divorce, but Blair stirs something I'm him. Their physical attraction cannot be denied. But, do they want it to be more?
***I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
A ten year age gap is different when one is a teenager still, but when Reid and Blair reconnect years later those ten years disappear because as adults they can act on the sizzling attraction that has always been there between them. FORBIDDEN TO TOUCH is sizzling hot, like all the titles in the Harlequin Dare™ line, yet there is a poignancy as well when we meet Reid’s father who is going through dementia.
Though Blair and Reid have known each other for years as family friends, and Blair’s intense teenage crush, now they come together under far different circumstances. Reid’s father has gone through with plans that Reid believed were shelved, but dementia makes decisions for his father now. When that decision brings an adult Blair back into his life Reid is about to get a wake-up call. Blair’s not afraid to go after what she wants – and what she wants is him.
FORBIDDEN TO TOUCH is sizzling, hot, emotional and simply a darned good story. The emotions run the gambit from intense anger to extreme sadness, with a really good dose of hot, sexy need tossed into the mix. I enjoyed Blair and Reid’s story, and if you like your Romance on the sizzling, spicy side then you’ll want to pick up the third title in the Billionaire Bachelors series now.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
FORBIDDEN TO TOUCH by JC Gateway is a sexy, touching contemporary romance. The story of Reid and Blair having known each other, as family friends for years. Then seeing each other again the chemistry is off the charts!
Forbidden To Touch is the third book in the Billionaire Bachelors series and an old friends to new lovers story between a luxury hotelier and an interior designer. The characters were quick to catch my eye with their past connection and their sassy wit.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a steamy read and previously spurned characters who have to work through their past in order to reach their happily ever after. Really enjoying this series as a whole and especially this book!
I love this series by JC Harroway!! These are sexy, steamy reads that are scorching hot!! I’m talking get a fan because Wowza! Hot! Hot! Hot!! Perfect for fans who love sexy and steamy reads. Happy reading!!
Good, very hot, very sexy read. Family friends to lovers is fun reading, especially with all the steaming pages it delivers. Age isn’t a factor, family isn’t either when Reid & Blair set up their fantasy come true time. What started out as a crush years ago turns into more for both. Fears & failures get in the way but with the truth from his family & honesty from each other the future looks brighter. A good book. I received this book from the publisher through Net Galley for an honest review.

This was a quick and hot read! I read it in one sitting! This was my first Harlequin Dare book and I look forward to reading more. This book was full of angst and I really enjoyed the characters and plotline. Definitely a great read!
I absolutely love "friends older brother" or tropes like that. This one fits the bill. Blair has known Reid's family her whole life and while she is the same age as one of Reid younger brothers it didn't stop the teenage crush she developed on Reid who was 10 years older than her.
I loved the couple in this book. It showed major depth with both of them. I especially liked when the author showed Reid's vulnerability. This to me, showed how much he trusted Blair and also showed him heaving feelings.
Reid is a man who likes control and order. He is not someone who gives his trust easily, even to a woman who has been a family friend all her life. He is always looking for a hidden agenda.
I will admit there were times I wanted to throat punch Reid for not trusting but yet this was his journey in the book.
This is the third book in this series I haven't read either of the first two at this stage and I had no trouble following the story line so as far as I am concerned they are total stand alone after saying that I enjoyed this book so much I will be purchasing the first two books
This is the story of Blair Cameron and Reid Faulkner she was friends with his younger brother but she always lusted after the ten years older Reid. He is a an in total control of his life he lets no one in. When they meet again after not seeing one another for a while she has a contract with him but she intends to form a nee contract one where they sample one another no strings attached because this time she is determined to taste the man she has always dreamed of. So the scene is set for one super hot romance that steams you glasses and melts your kindle Be prepared fr a super hot ride
Having read Devoted of JC Harroway a few years back, I decided to give her another go. As you can read in my review of Devoted, I was a bit puzzled by JC Harroway's writing. So, when I saw the Dare series on Netgalley I requested Forbidden To Touch. Technically I found that Forbidden To Touch was better than Devoted. The hot-and-steamy-factor was definitely there, but still the story didn't always make total sense to me. Reid Faulkner is shocked to find out that his father's memory lapses are most likely caused by dementia. Therefore, he and his brothers have to step up to ensure the family business can continue before their father makes the wrong decisions or forgets about his decisions all together. Like his agreement with Blair Cameron, the daughter of a family friend, to redecorate one of the hotels. Reid is suspicious whether Blair has taken advantage of his father, because of his memory issues. Therefore he doesn't really trust the contract that has been drawn up. But when Blair proposes another contract all together, with him and Blair living out her sexual fantasies about him, how can he resist? The dementia of Reid's father and his memories of Sadie (Reid's ex) and the setup of the contract are a bit strange. However, don't let this get your panties in a twist, because they will get damp in the end. Four out of five steaming stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

I finished this book and really enjoyed it. It was hot and steamy but in all the good ways. There were some places where it was a bit bittersweet when mentioning Graham’s condition. This book was a fun, fast read. I would definitely recommend to anyone and would read this author again.
