Mom of two rockin' girls, Reader of everything, Author of The Dragon Guards series and many more surprises to come!
I am a sarcastic, sometimes foul-mouthed, not afraid to drink a beer, always southern woman with 2 of the most amazing teenage daughters, a menagerie of animals and a voracious appetite for reading who recently decided to write the storied running through her brain. I read my first book, Dr Suess' Cat in The Hat by myself at 4 and was hooked. I believe a good book along with shoes, makeup and purses will never let a girl down and that all heroes of all the books I have ever read or will ever write pale in comparison to my daddy! I am a sucker for a happy ending and love some hot sweaty sex with a healthy dose of romance. I am still working on my story but believe it will contain all of the above with as much SPICE as I can work into it. CHEERS!
Contains sexual content and violence. Berserkers not only have dragons, but they have this more animalistic armor played creature that is made for destruction. I adore the berserkers with there loyalty and viciousness. This is a great story with a HEA.
This is another fun dragon guard romance, and I liked both Raynor and Elizabeth. This book, though, is much like the original Dragon Guard series -- the stories are very similar and quite repetitive. Many of the scenes, especially the love scenes and the mating rituals, are nearly identical in each book. I think the author copies them, with only a few changes, and reuses them in each book. Another complaint is that the dragon guard world has grown a bit confusing. There are so many paranormal characters now, and their powers and characteristics are often not well described.
This book was also a little more violent than I like. I get that Raynor needed to escape from his captors, and also rescue Elizabeth -- but I would have preferred for the violence to be less descriptive and detailed.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
I cannot put into words how emotional this book was. Not only for what Raynor has suffered but also when Banning made contact at long last. Raynor must have felt so alone and lost. I really think you need to have read some of the Dragon Guard books to understand what has happened to Raynor as it is not clear enough in his story. What Raynor had been through and then what Elizabeth suffered was heart breaking. My one and only complaint was this was too short to do Raynor justice. I felt like we got to know Elizabeth fairly well but I wanted more about Raynor, who he was prior to his being captured, just more about him, his likes, dislikes, character. This is my honest review of this book kindly given to me but read through Kindle Unlimited.
Raynor is ancient, angry, and looking for vengeance. He less of a nice dragon and more of a BEAST. As a Dragon Guard Berserker, noting and no one is going to be able to stop him from saving the on the universe made for him. Will artist Elizabeth find beauty in the heart of her darkest nightmares? Can these two broken souls heal one another and stop the evil hiding behind an Armani suit and a slick smile?
This was a nice story in the format of a dragon guard story (and so you know the format that you will be reading). Well written and easy to read and understand this was a great light read that was as enjoyable as the rest of the other stories in the series. Contains some sexual content.
Another Berserker finds love. I hate that I read these too fast. I liked learning that she had fought some adversity in her life. I feel that her talent could have been explored more, and maybe it will be in future stories. I feel that her assistant is a loose end that needs addressing, or at least a passing thought to let him know she is okay. One funny typo-in the dress description there is a sapphire hombre, instead of ombré. I got a picture in my mind of a blue dude with a sombrero.
Once again Julia has given us a fantastic new book in her dragon guard beserkers series. I loved that the heroine was determined to overcome her "disability" as she saw it and refused to allow it to lock her away from the things she wanted most in life. She also refused to allow the hero to allow his to lock him away or keep them apart no matter the odds. If your a fan of her original dragon guard series you can't miss these books either!
Wow! Just, wow! Julia has really created a gripping, incredible story with Raynor. It was a lot more intense than any other book. I was hooked from the first page, to the last, which came way too soon! Elizabeth was such a relatable person, struggling to overcome a debilitating and crippling emotional handicap. Raynor struggles with his own issues, and they both try to set them aside to reach the other. Beautiful story!
Elizabeth has struggled with her ability to feel peoples emotions. Raynor is struggling with the torture of his past. Someone is determined to hurt her. Will Elizabeth find a way out of the darkness? Will Raynor be able to rescue her in time?
I loved how despite what she thought, Elizabeth was stronger than what she felt. I loved how despite his past, Raynor was determined to protect her at any cost and anyway he could. These two were perfect together and cannot wait for more Berserkers!

I loved this book! Julia Mills and this new series are made of all sorts of awesome! Seriously, I loved this a great deal. It was emotional, I could practically *FEEL* the emotions and pain that the characters went through, I loved the connection between Raynor and Elizabeth. When Bannon and Raynor reunited I cried, that's impressive to be sure! Amazing series, fabulous story and great characters! I look forward to whatever comes next. <3
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest! It was a great book! Only his mate will be able to tame this Dragon Guard Berserker. It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book! I can't wait for the next book in this series.
I'm enjoying the Berserkers spin-off series. Suffering for centuries Raynor is free but damaged. He not sure he is worthy of his mate. However when Elizabeth is threatened he must prove himself the mate she deserves.
This is the third book in the Dragon Guard Berserkers series and focuses on Raynor and his fated mate Elizabeth. We get to watch as Elizabeth and Raynor deal with action and suspense while dealing with the mate bond. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I'm loving these Dragon guards. Their adventures are truly spectacular and their mates even more so. I love how swiftly and easily he dealt with the men that hurt his mate and how easily she accepted him.
Raynor stole my heart this character emotional journey will have the tears flowing. His mate will also encase your heart. This was a really enjoyable read I love Julia Mills books
Raynor Dragon Guard Berserker has found the one made for him by the universe. Elizabeth Wentworth, Lizzy for short. Lizzy is a Empath and painting is her way to escape from all the emotions and feelings. Raynor and Lizzy are a Fated Mates Story!
This was an excellent book. Filled with twists and intrigue throughout the story. This book has a very satisfying conclusion with a HEA and dragons. What more could you ask for.
Just couldn’t take any more of the dreadful Scottish accent. I love listening to a Scot talking but trying to read it was distracting me from this book.
I can't believe what Gaynor lived though & to come out the other side was an amazing fate, the running into his mate or rather she nearly run him over!
