This set is part of a mega box set that I'm reading and I've reviewed each part separately, so I'll just say that this is a great read - intriguing yet believable characters, fast-paced and with a fabulous sense of place.

It's set in South Africa and a virus is loosed upon the world, turning humans into hungry zombies. Yes, it's been done before, but I liked this because of the writing style and the huge cast of characters. There's mystery and suspense, betrayal and loyalty - and gore, of course (no, I don't like that but it's part of the genre).

Overall, I would recommend this series to those who enjoy this genre.

The Dangerous Days series intertwines with the Death's Children series in the end.
A very good Z-Series with strong female character(s) and their sidekicks. The books develop nicely and it never gets boring. Surviving the Zombies and other humans who are just as bad as the undead.
I have read the books individually but would have loved the box set, because once you start you don't want to stop.

A captivating tale of adventure and the evil of man. Great scenes with great characters.
If you love the zombie apocalypse genre ,you will love this box set.

I completely enjoyed this series, and actually hope that another book would be released since I wasn't ready for it to end. Lots of action, lots of zombies and well defined characters. Looking forward to reading more books by this author. If you enjoy zombie apocalypse books then read this. You won't be sorry!

Awesome boxset. It has books 1-4 packed full of action with zombies and gang's even people who you needed to count on as well. Fair warning this author doesn't hold back what the gang's do it can be very difficult and touchy subject's. Plays big time on every emotion person has. These book's shows you the real meaning of zombie apocalypse can be like (if) ever happened.

A great zombpoc sets in South Africa for a change.
Strong female characters (esp. in 3rd and 4th book) , some villains, lots of actions and twists.
A little bit more editing'd be nice : italicized sentences are only for inner thoughts not part of a dialogue nor an narration....

Ugh, I wish this series never had to end! If you're a fan of character-driven zombie fiction (like AMC's Walking Dead franchise), this is a series for you. Tons of action, many well-developed characters (good and bad). I loved every minute and can't wait to read more of Higgins' work.

This was an easy read and it was interesting. No one was.safe anywhere. Survivor against survivor was twisty. I will be reading more from Baileigh Hoggins.
