Inspiration can come from the unlikeliest of places...in Greer’s case, from the lips of the sexiest man he’s ever laid eyes on.
Struggling to keep his family’s cafe afloat after his parents passed, omega Greer finds himself working insane hours and sinking quickly. Something needs to fall into place if he is going to avoid losing everything.
A chance encounter with a sexy alpha and a few flirty words change the entire trajectory of his life as they inspire him to turn his failing cafe into a doggie-and-me ice cream shop.
Alpha Tennyson spent his entire focus on becoming a tenured professor at the prestigious university he’d been giving his all to. The university had other plans, and Tennyson begins a life of travel, aimlessly searching for he isn’t quite sure what, only keeping his studio apartment for some semblance of roots.
When he meets Greer while walking his injured friend’s dog, he begins to question the direction his life is heading.
A few months later, the two reconnect and sparks fly, as Greer’s business booms and Tennyson’s career heads down a familiar path, one that led him to failure before. Can the two men find the balance between their professional and personal lives? A little bundle on their way is counting on them to do just that.

I loved this as always with this author the story is sweet and fluffy and makes you feel warm Inside and since i Love animals this book was perfect so all in all a Great Comfort book that make me feel good and smile
Lorelei Hart had me at the Dachshund (I proudly own two of the Barkaholics) and baby on the cover. And then the first scene of the Greer the Omega MC walking his Dachshund, the very story Shrimp and the Alpha, Tenn leisurely strolling with an older Basset Hound. I was in doggy heaven! Just what I deserved for the first day of my vacation. Started it off cleaning, reorganizing, getting up early as I listened to this book while I enjoyed this snowy sunny Saturday.
Started my second Vacay day a bit later, but loved the bit of sleeping in before finishing this wonderful book today! It was even better than I imagined. The Alpha and Omega met each other at the right times in their lives. And a very strong mutual attraction occurred, but they did not immediately get together. Even though that first conversation led to a renovation of the Omega's family business.
The old adage absence makes the heart fonder truly applies with these main characters. The more time they spent apart even when they were building their relationship and falling in love really cemented things for both of them. Despite their jobs limiting their time together, each worked hard at what they did best. I thoroughly enjoyed how the dogs weren't forgotten about in this story. These pooches are secondary characters though just as important and impactful as their human counterparts.
Initially the Omega was the super dedicated worked while the Alpha was the slacker, even though he had opportunities to work. In many Omegaverse books I've read, Omegas often had few or no chances to work. And the types of jobs were often menial and controlled by Alphas. It was wonderful to see an independent Omega with some great business acumen.
Unfortunately one of the characters was a 'Mommie Dearest' and tugged on her son's strings like a masterful puppeteer. Patience, determination, and maturity made him keep his cool though his mother would've tried the patience of a saint. This is the first in the Cafes of Love series. I will definitely be reading them all whether or not they continue to contain adorable pups.
I really enjoyed the story line and the characters! I know it’s got to be hard to keep coming up with different storylines but Susi Hawke always seems to do it. Definite recommend!
An sweet read. Tennyson and Greet are great characters and I loved them together. Sweet, funny and a dash of sexy... This book is a fun read. Definitely recommend.
