This book is a treasure trove. If you are new to the field of Trauma studies and don't know where to begin, this is where you start. It concisely discusses the major clinical, historical, literary and cultural theories on the phenomenon of trauma. The many references provide a much needed starting point to know what you have to read next. More than just summarising major theories, the book will also help you in finding your own position among several concepts and approaches out there.
