I don’t answer to anyone. Why should I? I’m the boss.
Veronica My assignment: Interview billionaire Aiden Thomas about his new development project. Investigate his rich as sin life. Avoid staring in his crystal blue eyes. Ignore his sinful smile. Pretend he’s not getting under my skin with every word that comes out of his mouth.
What I did: Tumbled into his bed after too many shots of tequila. Had an off-limits one-night stand with the notorious playboy. Discovered there are consequences bigger than I could have ever imagined.
Aiden Veronica is smart and beautiful. A spitfire with the brains to back it up. Only, I don’t do relationships. But there’s a price for our affair. And she’s the one who pays. So I step in to help. Now I’m her boss. And things just got a lot more complicated.
**This is a Standalone enemies to lovers billionaire romance with plenty of steam, heat and an alpha billionaire to melt your heart.**
USA Today Bestselling author, Violet Paige, lives in North Carolina and would rather be by the water than anywhere else, maybe it’s because she’s from OBX, yes that OBX. Writing full-time, mom’ing full time and taking any stray dog that walks by the porch keep her inspired, busy and mostly exhausted, let’s be honest. She writes hot, edgy and angsty romances with strong heroines and fierce loves.
Victoria Strickland is a young, savy and smart reporter for an on-line newspaper with a soft spot for the environment and people displaced by developers. Her life becomes entwined with Aiden Thomas a young and ambitious 'take no prisoners' young capitalist who buys big land deals and properties, fixes them up and sells them for a huge profit. His constant 'run-ins' with Victoria make him see that there is more to a reporter than he thought. He is deeply attracted to this woman much moreso then other women he tends to bed and run from. Victoria on the other hand, sees a softer and kinder side to Aiden then he normally shows. Their relationship has fire and passion and many ups/downs and turmoils but they learn to trust and to communicate and work out their differences in a 'normal' and real way. (Refreshing in a book - no magic wands here to make things all rosey!) Aiden demonstrates deep passion (something uncommon to him) and Victoria demonstrates strength, kindness and compassion with both learning about compromise and trust. A great read that moved well and had depth.
I read this book with Kindle Unlimited. I really wanted to like this book, but it fell flat on a lot of places for me. The things that drew me I were: Hot guy with commitment issues, who likes to sleep around. Unfortunately, there was no sleeping around with multiple partners in this book, only him saying that he did. He also claims that he doesn't do commitments, but he starts asking for more from a woman that he only slept with once.
Veronica the reporter acts more like a teenager than an adult. She gets mad at Aiden for asking her to leave when he has a business meeting, with her reporter status and all. Then she gets mad and jumps on a plane home after a misunderstanding with Aiden. She doesn't even give him a chance to explain.
This book definitely miss it's mark. There was a lack of chemistry. The relationship seemed rushed. She only got the outcome of what happened to Quinn, what happened to the other residents of the trailer park?
Don’t Go- has completely blown me away, or maybe I should say set my everything on fire! 100% unputdownable!!!! The chemistry between Veronica and Aiden is palpable. Both are strong main characters on their own and when they aren’t butting heads they can’t keep their hands of each other. This book is written with so much emotion and you can feel everything from the Texas heat, to beach culture in South Padre. The secondary charters add to the story, the flow of the writing is smooth- it’s a guaranteed scorcher!!
Great read. Veronica is the reporter with great instincts following a story about land development on South Padre, an island in Galveston. Aiden is the land developer that is wanteing to build a resort on the Sound which would disolace the residents of a tiny trailer park. The story line is great. I love the characters. Everything flowed effortlessly. And being a native Texan I always find it enjoyable when I read books set in Texas.
A well written tale - everything balanced beautifully. I thoroughly enjoyed getting absorbed with the lives of these two characters, who were well rounded and likable. They took you along on their journey, rocky at times, but thats life. This is the first Violet Paige novel I have read, and will certainly invest in more. I love her style and wit. No second thoughts about recommending this read.
Was slow and relationship full of ups and down. Real life! Liked how they talked through misunderstandings and issues like adults should. Wasn’t all roses. Only thing I wanted was different transition from last two chapters. Left me confused about what happened with cove and beach. As well as the rest of trailer residents. Only mentioned one person.
gw kesel gitu bacanya, drama banget si heroine nya... gak percayaan, tp gak mau nanya.. menyimpulkan sendiri, trs minggat.. padahal ya gak punya trusting issues loh, gak percaya aja sama masnya ude titik.
I've been reading these kind of books for years. But this book was really good 👍Some books I would pretty much know how it would end after the first chapter but this one kept me very interested all the way through.
Aidan and Veronica met on Padre Island. She was a reporter, he a very private tycoon. She wanted an interview. He did not give interviews. Little did they both know that their destiny was entwined and they would have a HEA.
Good story and the author crafted it well. There were times where I wanted more of them together and more emotion. They were sexy together and he said some lovely things. They were good characters and consistent in their actions.
The uncle part was funny actually. So was Harper and Quinn. Unexpected and relative. Glad he asked her to marry him. Her sister's life is horrible. Good story.
I read til slightly past the 50% point. Both the H and the h, are so unlikable, with zero chemistry, and nothing to hold my interest, that I had no desire to finish. This is not a book I would recommend.
Aidan and Veronica’s story was very sweet and romantic. I am guarded about the romance because I did not really feel it. It is an okay read though. I wish there was some closure about Veronica’s sister and niece though.
I am so glad I found this author. This was my first book read by Violet Paige and I loved it! Fell in love with Aidon and Veronica's story loved it cover to cover. This one is a keeper.
Loved this book so much , the story line was ace , but the ending wasn't what I hoped for ? Did they marry have children ? Did cassie n Lexi come back please tell me there's another follow up book ??
I love all the Don't series. It came to me as a reading suggestion on facebook and I couldn't put them down. I love Kaitlyn and Cole and I was so happy when Aiden got a book of his own! After reading this series I'll definitely try other books by this author.
I liked the beginning where she said she wanted nosstrings attched it got so confusinf after that like it contradicting itself. Also it was kinda boring with their jobs and everything.

Veronica Strickland is a young journalist for an online newspaper on San Pedro Island. She has been assigned to find out what is happening at the trailer park in the way of New land development deals. Aiden Thomas is a young very wealthy land developer she just happens to run into down at the trailer park. The story goes from there. Veronica has problems with her family, and one of the residents in the trailer park reminds her of her sister. If the land is developed she wants to know where are the residents going? Aiden just wants to get in, build, sell and get out. Not worry about anything else, but that's not going to happen this time. I really enjoyed this book. So much was happening but it a was tied together well. It's a standalone easy read HEA. Fun read
