Holiday Hell

Rate this book
Christmas sucks! Or at least that’s what Sheridan Lewis believes. With plans to hide away for the rest of the season, she’s dismayed to be sent on a trip so close to Christmas with her boss and arch nemesis, Brady McGuire. Not only does she have to suffer through the season, but work closely with a man who thinks he’s hot stuff because he’s the CEO’s grandson. So what if he has dreamy eyes, broad shoulders and a physique any Olympian would be jealous of, nothing good could possibly come out of their trip together. Insufferable brat! There’s nothing more that Brady McGuire wants to do than take Sheridan Lewis over his knee and give her the spanking she sorely deserves. She’s loud, obnoxious, and has a Napoleon complex. It’s bad enough dealing with her on a daily basis, but being through together for a two week trip where they’ll have to work closely together. No way. The last thing he wants is his holidays to be ruined by this little Scrooge. So what if her very scent drives him mad and she has a body made for sinning. She’s still a pain in the ass. Thrown together during the holidays, these two headstrong idiots may just find their common ground in each other and turn their hell into a holiday after all.

Opposites attracts in the pairing of Sheridan and Brady! This was a well written story of how a boss and his top seller's contempt for each other turns into lust then love. Sheridan and Brady we both stubborn but during the the course of this story, love prevailed. Learning why Sheridan detested the Christmas season was understandable and made me really cheer for her!

Julie from the previous book returns to console Sheridan when needed which was reflective of her helpful and supportive relationship with Sheridan.

I recommend this book highly!

SHE CALLED HIS DICK MR. HAPPY!?!?!

Honestly, even with the cringe and the unrealistic height issues, I was sitting on a 2-2.5 star rating. I got to NINETY-SEVEN PERCENT before this became an instant one star. I couldn’t get past all the other shit anymore. No sir. Not if she’s saying this with a straight face and he’s into it so much he SHUDDERS “Then I guess I’m going to have to give Mr. Happy a kiss before you expire.” She pressed her lips at the tip before following up with a long stroke of her tongue. Brady shuddered with his need for her. “Yes, baby. Like that. Take it in your mouth.” there is no way I can take that serious. Ever.

Now, all the other shit is hard to ignore. The heroine explains herself as “half an inch away from five feet tall” but there’s a scene where they jump in the shower, she’s facing the wall with her back to him and “Brady leaned over until his lips nearly touched her ear... He hooked his other arm around her waist and ground his erection against her ass.” now, I’m somewhere around five two to five three, and I would just like to say, without some MAJOR effort and contortionist shit, this ain’t happening. Her mid back maybe, lower is pushing it but possible, but unless this woman has absolutely no torso, and he’s actually quite short for a male but it was never mentioned, then no. Stop making heroines super short and forgetting it the second people have sex. Even kissing. Why isn’t he ever bending completely over to kiss or? Or just picking her up straight away? If it hadn’t have been this huge issue for her I probably would have let it slide, but it was mentioned MULTIPLE times, she even went off at home at one point for a short joke, but then it completely disappeared. Dumb.

Also, he gave me super creepy vibes, just in how he talked to her at the start. Like you’re her boss, sir. If she was so pissy about him she would have threatened with HR the second he grabbed her. & the holiday drama was... a bit of overkill. Along with her attitude. Man did I dislike her lol.

I love this book

I wish I had read it at Christmas but better late than never. I love how these two fought their feelings for one another. They was a hot mess , he.judge her to be a bitch and she judge him to be an ass hole, both found they was so wrong about each other and found a real love that touch my heart an the passion they had for one another was so deep and strong that i was afraid they would kill each other before they gave in to what they had for each other. I love the granddad. He know what was happening and try to get them to see what they had for one another. I love this book. Thank you for this heart warming story of a strong woman who was broken from the hurt of her past but still soilder on in life. I like that we visited Julie and got an update on her life.

DNF!!!!

I think I made it to chapter 4 before I had enough. Whatever chapter he decided to grab a woman who didn't like him and who he was the boss of, and start kissing her and sucking her titties was when I gave up. You don't do that, you don't just sexually assault your employee. On top of that, it wasn't romantic, it wasn't sexy, and worst of all, it wasn't realistic. My God, is it too much to ask for some damn realism in these erotica/romance stories? Who would just do something like that? And why did it happen so damn early in the book? He wanted to shut her up when she was insulting him, so he does that which is fucking insulting. Leave that nonsense to the romantic comedy movies.

Kindle unlimited is gonna be the death of me, I swear there's nothing good there. Bezos get it together.

It was an decent read

This was a short, decent read. I do like that the characters are relatable (though not much different than her other characters and their traits) and the storyline flowed well- not too fast, and it didn't drag on. Some of the character language was corny, and if you read Eve Vaughn's work often there's a lot of similarity in tones/language of the stories and the dialogue of the characters, often there is the same type of character personalities and especially similarities in the same kind of content in the "scences". Pretty much just a change in the character names and occupation.

Holiday Hell

This was first story I read from this author. I loved it. This story was sexy, passionate and just brilliant. I loved the premise of two people who seemed like enemies but deep down were nuts for each other. I loved Sheridan and Brady. He was a hottie. And god love his grandpa and his matchmaking. It worked like a charm. She was the best thing to happen to Brady. A fab story and I will read more of her books. This one gets two thumbs up! 👍 👍

Endearing

I absolutely loved everything this book offered.
The way Sheridan and Brady interacted was surreal. This book touched my heart when Brady made his confessions known to Sheridan while making love to her the first time at the Smiths mansion. The hurt he felt when Sheridan was being cruel to him afterward was brutal, and his reaction was so heartfelt I had to read it twice.
I encourage you to read this book.

Working Vacation

Sheridan could sell ice water to Eskimos. Brady is the owner's grandson. Who could have imagined the two were attracted to one another since they usually snipped at each other at every turn. Well , grandfather must have had some inkling when he sent them on a working vacation. Then he enlisted two old friends to assist with his plan. A great holiday read whenever you pick it up.

Soooo.....

An ok read. I just didn't enjoy all the "leave me alone .... no, don't leave me alone.... childish game the Heroine played for more than half the book. Then at 94% of the book she decides to open up and not very convincingly either.

But don't just take my word for it give it a try.

This was more of a novella to me. It was a good quick Christmas story. It wasn't rushed, I just wanted more of Brady and Sheridan. I loved that grandfather, he was a true character..lol!

Oh Sheridan

This was a cute quick read although Sheridan got on my last nerves. I lost count how many times I rolled my eyes at her. She really needs to get over herself. Brady was a good dude and his Grandfather was sweet.

Holiday Treat

What a nice holiday pass time. If you are looking for a quick read with a different gender spin this story is for you. The heroine was a pain the the butt while the hero tried to love her. I gave 5 stars but I wished the story was longer.

I enjoyed this love story, I didn't care for Sheridan at the beginning, but you come to realize her attitude hides a world of hurt.

Sheridan got on my very last nerve. I’m so glad for Brady. Although he had to chase after her, he still didn’t put up with too much of her attitude.

Sheridan needs a psychologist and an AA sponsor.

Not very good

This is usual for this author. It was unrealistic and the plot was thin.
I do not recommend this book.
