“It’s dreadful what little things lead people to misunderstand each other.” –L.M. Montgomery, Emily’s Quest
Quick, one-shot, clean: no angst… except for poor Mr. Darcy.
“Somewhere between love and hate lies confusion, misunderstanding and desperate hope.” –Shannon L. Alder
We open at the scene in P&P where Darcy goes to Mr. Bennet for his consent to marry Elizabeth. Only one problem, Mr. Bennet is operating under the old assumption that Elizabeth doesn’t like Darcy. That tweaks their conversation a bit as each man is coming from a different direction. This was hilarious. However, I’m sure Mr. Darcy didn’t think so.
