Clio screwed up—and it wasn’t just someone’s drink order. She accidentally set an evil yule god free, and now he plans to bring war to the magical world. The only thing standing in his way is the final Christmas star, and if Clio wants any chance at defeating him, she’ll need to find it first. Only problem the star has been lost for centuries. It’s a race against time and the odds are stacked against her. But Clio is willing to do anything to succeed—even if that anything means finally embracing her strange and unique powers. She might just be the one Christmas being with a chance at stopping Belsnickel. But can she take on a god and live to tell the tale? Find out in the epic finale of the Christmas Magic series.
Alexandra Moody is an Australian author who writes romance novels for young adults. She lives in Adelaide with her husband, three children and naughty dog. When she’s not busy writing, you’ll find her reading or spending time with her family. She loves to travel, is addicted to caffeine and has a love/hate relationship with the gym.
I loved the addition of Jack, but the series definitely lost momentum, partly because the entire book was an isolated road trip with Dash and they got NO action? Absolutely none? No romantic tension or anything? I appreciate they’re focused on a goal here, but the chemistry in the first two books that had been building up completely dissapated with their no nonsense routine. Even the end it was like “oh you’re alive!” They hugged, and now they’re moving in together?????? The ending was rushed so I can’t help but feel unsatisfied, however I liked how Belsnickel turned out and I’m happy Adara could return as well.
3rd in the series. Don't start with this one. This is a YA story. A couple of kisses, but no sex.
This one wasn't too bad. I was thinking it was going have a predictable ending, but the author surprised me. Not really impressed with the caliber of writing, but it's fine for a YA.
Good story but relied heavily on the previous books.
I only read Christmas stories in December, so although I’ve read the previous books in this series, they were spaced at least a year apart. Which caused me some issues. This story relied heavily on knowing what was in the previous books, and with all of the fantasy tales I’ve read before it was a struggle to remember who was who, outside of Clio and Dash, and how they came to be in the tale. It was a continuation of the previous tales, so anyone picking this up as their first story and expecting a standalone just wouldn’t get it. I do like Alexandras writing, and I’m sure I will read more of hers in the future, but for this book I wished there had been more descriptions of the secondary characters, kind of like mini catch ups, to appreciate them fully in this tale.
I really enjoyed this series! It was so engaging I binge read the whole thing! I get attached to the characters and love how they evolved. There was no way to predict where each book was going and I really enjoyed that! It is Not your usual Christmas series! I'd give it 10 stars if I could!
This was an enjoyable conclusion to a series I quite liked. It was fun but not saccharine like many Christmas stories are. If you've read up to this entry to the series, there's no reason not to finish. If you're reading this and haven't read the other books, though, you should go find Christmas Magic, because the books are very serial in nature.
I really enjoyed this series. It had it all magic, romance and action! I wish there was more! I want to know what happens with Jack and does Vixen every admit she like Blitz? This series needs to continue. I would recommend this to anyone who loves
This was a really fun fantasy series. It's rare to find a YA trilogy that's not the same recycled ideas, and a Christmas book that isn't cheesy from start to finish, but this series was solid. I would rate each book a 4, 3.5, and then a 4 again, but the series overall is entertaining enough for a 5 rating.
I just have to say that I LOVED this series and I'm very sad to see it end... I loved the action and romance. There were so many surprises in this book and I loved that it ended on 2 happy notes, 1st being Sage and Belsnickel and then the one at the very end. I didn't want to give to much away. I wish you'd write more in this series. This was just an amazing read!!!
The continuous love and adventures story of Clio and Dash. The light and the dark must unite to save the last Christmas star. Clio and Dash must go to the Dark Kingdom too ask the Dark Queen for help. Will she help? Has Jack learn Clio's secret? Great story.
I was so worried as we headed into book three on what was gonna happen with the third star and Belsnickel & everything else.
Without too much back story and also without dragging or racing over parts, the story plays out at a good speed and still holds the focus. I really enjoyed this and the ending wasn't what I expected, it was so much better.
These books were fun, thrilling, exciting and adventurous with a little love, friendship and family thrown in. Enjoyed all three books. I loved the concept and creatures too. Great holiday read.
This would be a 4.5 star read for me, so I'm rounding up. Anyway, it's a great ending to the series, and an enjoyable read in its own right, which is only spoiled by needing a little more editing in places. It's most certainly worth the read though, despite those issues.
When I started the first book, it wasn't quite what I expected, but I kept reading. I'm glad I did! It's an interesting twist on magical Christmas beings. This final book wrapped the series up nicely.
Buy the set, and save a few Pennies. Great writing and a great story. Definitely worth your time. A new twist on Christmas that was enjoyable to read. Happy reading.
What's a small Clause to do when the world is counting on her to save it from destruction. When all things start going wrong it's up to three friends to save it.
- Glad I completed the series - Enjoyed the spin on Christmas - Somewhat predictable throughout all three books - Sad there were spelling and grammar errors
When looking for a Christmas read I chose Christmas Magic (book 1) because I had received it from a free promo. I love paranormal romances so this fit the bill. After reading book 1 I decided to buy books 2 & 3. Worth it! This was a good story with unexpected twists. It's safe for anyone. There's no sex and only mild language. Highly recommended!
