This second volume of Strawberry Panic is even gayer than the first one, and it is exactly what we needed.

Regarding the plot, the next round of the Etoile competition is coming up, which creates more drama and tension between the characters whose love is put to the test. Some characters did surprisingly well, while others messed up quite badly, if you ask me. Despite that, their actions made a lot of sense and propelled the plot to keep going, so I think we are up for a heavy character and relationship overall development for the next installment.
Regarding the characters, they keep giving us lovely and funny moments between them, friendship-wise and love-wise. The Lulim trio is such a cute one, and I adore their little plays, whereas the duos of Nagisa/Shizuma and Hikari/Amane still show great chemistry in their scenes together. I really like where their relationships are going.

To sum it up, I think this second volume is a good follow-up that keeps on giving. I will read the next one as soon as possible.

Finally on the second volume, I can't get enough of this series! The comedy, the yuri romance... it just all makes a great book.

The Etoile competition is heating up, when all of a sudden Makoto comes back! An old student of Astraea who went to study abroad in Russia for six years.

This volume revolves mainly around the Etoile competition, and all the twists and turns it takes.

A new transfer student who might be Astraea's greatest star yet?
Second round event - The Faceless Devil*?
Surprising disqualifications?
A couple withdraws?
A St. Lulim St. Spice alliance?

A book that I could not put down; full of suspense, the craving for an ending, and it just keeps getting better!

*Faceless Devil is when the couple has to stay apart for two weeks, and afterward will be reunited. During the event, an anonymous person tries to tempt them, and if the faceless devil succeeds, can pick a partner and enter the Etoile competition themselves.

A little scattered all over the place but it had some major twists and turn. The way this one ended, I'm onto the the 3rd and last volume right away.
