SHE WAS EUROPE'S GREATEST BEAUTY -- AND A SEA CAPTAIN'S GREATEST PRIZE
Sable St. Germain, ebony-haired love child of Raven Barrancourt and Charles St. Germain ... her diamond-bright will ruled the wild and barren Scottish hills where she grew to womanhood.
Sir Morgan Carey, renegade nobleman, captain of the clipper Defiance, bound on a secret mission of danger ...a danger as nothing compared to the searing heat kindled by Sable's brilliant untouched beauty.
Now and Forever... his bold need frightened her; her towering pride drove her wanting heart from him--until destiny overwhelmed them on a journey to the sensuous palaces of Constantinople.
How vain to deny love's power! Yet how they tried. They feared, and yet desired, the passion recklessly mounting, bound their flesh ...
Even though Ellen was born in Germany, she was raised in New Jersey (insert Jersey joke here). That’s probably why she suffered extreme culture shock when her family moved to South Carolina when she was sixteen.
After all, it's hard to be uprooted from a pretty colonial town, say goodbye to lifelong friends, and be dragged 800 miles south by your parents. Ellen freely admits that the transformation from Jersey Girl to Southern Belle was a rocky one.
But steeped in history, the Lowcountry of South Carolina is the perfect place for a writer to live, because Charleston’s gorgeous historic houses, cobblestone streets, and moss-draped gardens serve as the ultimate “romance laboratory.”
So 40 years later has Ellen acclimated to living here? "Heck yeah, y’all."
Definitely one of my favorite romance novels to date. There’s action, there’s story, there’s character development, there’s romance. This book is what really got me into reading romance novels. Definitely recommend it to those who like enemies to lovers and action with romance. 📚💞
