Thirst is a poetry collection teeming with poems, psalms, and inspirational prose that inspires you to remain hopeful in seasons of suffering. In the midst of chaos and calamity, cry out to God. Look to the future with expectancy, following the guidance of this poetry book as it walks you through Psalm 42. This book of poetry will show you how to hear God’s voice as He sings over you songs of love and victory. Fix your gaze on the Lord, choosing faith over fear.
Lot of really great scripturally-based reminders. The only problem I have is with a few pages that speak on “destiny” (which isn’t inherently an issue, but could have been approached better).
Read this in one seating today at the book fair because it was a Christian poetry collection and I've never really seen those. It's a short and snappy collection, inspired by God in the place of prayer and waiting —as said by the author— and it certainly shows. Bosse writes entirely in reference to Psalm 42, offering the believer who is weary hope and light from the word in times where "the storm" is ever present. She also heavily references the power of choice in every situation, even in some of the most overwhelming ones, which can often seem impossible, but we're drawn back to David who, it is recorded, "gave thanks" even in dire circumstances. Thirst is a call back to looking unto the source of everything, God as the source of everything, even when he seems very far or when there's no sliver of hope that he is there. It is a redirection to the truth of the word, as it is written, and it was a very timely read for me.
This collection of poetry was absolutely beautiful. It felt like a huge hug and heavenly reassurance from the Lord. Loved it and would whole heartedly recommend.
It’s beautiful! The poems & the Bible verses included are all so beautiful together. It would be nice as a gift to encourage someone, definitely recommend!
