When the Global Allegiance terminated all Cyborgs, rumors were rampant that they still existed, either hidden away with wealthy collectors or—even more scandalous—part of the Cyborg Rebellion.

Aria

I never intended to join the cyborg rebellion. In fact, cyborgs never crossed my mind until my best friend fell in love with one named Dash. Their love indirectly lead to me being kidnapped to be used as a bargaining chip. I’ve been rescued and now I’m free…kind of. During my time in captivity, I inadvertently became the mother to cyborg child and may have accidentally started to also have feelings for a certain cyborg. Not just any cyborg — the leader of the cyborg rebellion. Mr. Gray, Annoying and Wielding-a-battle-axe bad-to-the-bone cyborg. I’m not sure Reaper is the one but I can’t keep my hands or my heart from wanting him.

Reaper

I am the cyborg rebellion. I make sure that those in my care are safe and well taken care of, but neither of those things requires me to be nice. I’m a Military Model. I don’t do nice. Well, I didn’t until I saw her.
Now I’m suffering from system wide malfunctions that includes wanting to give out hugs, and the random urge to hop up on tabletops and jump for joy. And it’s all because of one tiny blonde female.
Aria has invaded my processors and hijacked my circuits. How can one female cause so much chaos?
And how do I make her mine?

Kelsey Nicole Price is a midwestern girl who shares her brain with a lovable bunch of cyborgs and a stray alien or two. While other girls were dreaming of Brad Pitt she was crushing hard on a certain android from Star Trek TNG.

As an adult she longed for a cyborg of her own so she decided she'd write him. One blue cyborg turned into a whole bunch of different colored cyborgs and she couldn't be happier that she gets to tell their stories.

When she's not writing she can be found watching Unsolved Mysteries with her hubby, snuggling her two cats, indulging in any kind of dessert and secretly wishing for a pet sloth.

“Welcome to the cyborg rebellion.”

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️💖
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏🌍
Character development: ☺️😊😁😉🥰

The Hero: Reaper (a.k.a. 825-397) - he was the first military cyborg and is now the leader of the cyborg rebellion against the Global Alliance. The GA made owning cyborgs illegal and made it their mission to destroy all cyborgs because they saw them as defective since they had a soul and couldn’t be controlled.

The heroine: Aria - best friend to Iris from the first book in this series. Aria was afraid for her friend when she initially saw that Iris had cyborgs in her house since they were illegal and having one was a death sentence. So, she wasn’t very nice or understanding at first. Though when she saw that cyborgs were really just people on the inside, despite their computer chips and enhancements, she came around.

The story: Aria rubbed Reaper the wrong way from the start and vice versa. When Aria was kidnapped by the Global Allegiance, Reaper and his team of cyborgs came to the rescue. Though not before she was experimented on and tortured. She also saw many dead human women and dead cyborg babies in the lab and among them, there was one living cyborg child whom she bonded with.

Now she is at the headquarters of the cyborg rebellion, doing her best to get herself and little Theo through the trauma they both suffered. She doesn’t want to talk about what happened to her in captivity, yet Reaper keeps on her to open up. They initially don’t get along, but it isn’t too long before their attraction for each other takes over.

I liked this story as much as the last one, there are so many colorful characters (literally and figuratively, since the different types of cyborgs are different colors). I just love a lot of good supporting characters in a story. Theo, the little cyborg was so cute and I just love some of the other characters and can’t wait to read their individual stories. This one mainly took place at the cyborg rebellion headquarters which is underground and has lots of space and apartments for all the cyborgs and the few humans who are with them.

I had a really long review that disappeared off my Kindle. Again. Talk about frustrating. Price needs to beef up her world building and write half the number of sex scenes. She has a solid story and I have so many cyborg questions. More focus on the sci-fi and less on the romance would make this so much better. I am interested, but the tepid sex - pages and pages of it- bores me. You have me hooked, now do something with it, Ms. Price.

A military model cyborg falls in love with a single mom. Reaper is the leader of the cyborg resistance, he knows only order and battle.
“For Military Models, protection is their default setting. It’s their way of caring."
Aria has adopted Theo, a human/cyborg child. (The only child that survived the evil doctors experiments) Aria has nightmares from her time being experimented on and Reaper brings her peace.
I felt safe. Protected. Reaper was my lighthouse in the dark.

A truly good second installment

This is Aria and Reaper's book. It picks up where the last one left off. Dash's book brought laughter, joy and some pain. This book was no less good, it had a good amount of laughter because well of a pilot child cyborg. Yes the fit st thing ever! You will absolutely fall in love with him. But a long with the laughter and cuteness there is pain th heart break. Aria is rescued but can't or won't speak about what the evil Dr. Rosenfield did to her and Theo. Reaper has been at her side through it all, but didn't now how to process his new emotions so he comes off sounding like a pain in the ass. So much happens, healing begins, friendships are form and love explodes into this military models life. Together they become the parents of the first cyborg child and take on the evil Dr. Rosenfield once and for all. 💖I just hope all the other horrors the evil witch has wrought over time can be fixed. I would say one of the only draw backs has to do with some editing. There are some missing words or phrases out of order. It doesn't ruin the book, but it is a bit of a distraction . However I do love that last chapter that is a teaser for the next book. I'm definitely going to read it. 💖

Reaper

Book two of this series, I'm enjoying this world of cyborgs. The MMC is a “military model” cyborg, quite the hard ass.

“Show me to the entertainment files. I refuse to let Dash have more fun than me. I will conquer fun and be the victor. Military Models will own this thing called fun.”

It takes a bit for him to figure out how to be approachable to the woman he likes.

“Kissing wasn’t a skill required to kill, so I never learned. Not that any females were lining up to kiss me anyway. My admission effectively cancelled my cool cyborg card.”

I liked the child in the story. His relationship with the MMC starts out fraught,

“My human said I’m supposed to be nice to you.” Theo informed Reaper matter-of-factly. His little hands on his hips, he tipped his head to stare up at his larger counterpart.
One single pale gray eyebrow rose. “She did, did she?”
Theo gave a nod. “My mom said even assholes need friends.”

I also had fun reading about the various relationships between the MCs and the side characters, especially Brone and Dax.

Cyborgs

So big business made cyborgs, science made the AI actually work for real, and so big business recalls them and destroys them.

Of course, some humans won't go along with that and help save some of the cyborgs. But big business won't let that fly=it's bad PR! This is their stories.

There are several "new adult" parts and some adult war type violence. I enjoyed the romance building and loved the action parts. The best part for me was the relationship between the main characters only hold about half the book, the other half is the overall story. But the author wraps it right enough that it isn't a cliff hanger!!

This book was by far one of my favorite books this year. Only surpassed by Dash which was the 1st book by this author that I read earlier this year.

This is the story about Reaper. He is not used to having these felling. Before he was free such things would get you terminated. Now he not only have to learn how to be vulnerable with the woman in his life but also the only cyborg child but also those evil people are still looking for them. Can't wait for Acer and Dax story HEA.

Love gives strength

This is Reaper and Aria’s story, They have both been damaged emotionally and physically. Neither one thinks they are worthy. Aria begins to heal by caring for Theo, the first cyborg child created by the mad scientist that held her prisoner and tortured her. Reaper rescues them both. Aria and Reaper save each other and help the other one see how worthy they truly are while falling in love. They become a family while fighting the mad scientist.

Love me some cyborgs!!

I was very unsure about a book about cyborgs. I mean filling in love with a machine??? Really?!? But I was so wrong. I was hooked after just a few pages of Dash & Reaper was just as good if not better. These cyborgs aren’t just machines, they are real sentient being with feelings, fears, dreams & a soul. I love getting to know lol the members of the cyborg rebellion!!!

Better than book 1. Cute & funny with a bit of drama sprinkled in.
Took me a bit to get into it... the beginning, for me was a fest of eye rolls. You finally get a few scenes of what Aria went through, while it was terrible, the cyborgs all went through ordeals a hundred times worse. So taking everything with a grain or two of salt made it a decently tasty snack of a story.
I am definitely looking forward to book 3, Odds and Ends (Acer's story).

Love this series

I don't normally leave reviews but I want to encourage others to read this relatively new author. If you are into paranormal or alien series as I am, you should defo give this a go. The stories flow a lot better and have a greater depth than a lot of more established authors out there. If you are a fan of this genre you will know what I mean as soon as you have finished the 1st chapter.

Book Two Shines

The second book in the series often lacks something, but not in this case. Aria has been captured by the Global Alliance, and tortured. Reaper doesn't know how to help her, but he keeps trying. I love that the author didn't shy away from putting her heroine through an impossible situation, and that it's not actually the hero that begins her journey toward healing. Throw in little Theo and it's a great story!

Another great cyborg story by Kelsey Nicole Price! This is the extremely steamy story of Reaper and Aria. Be ready, this one is hot! There’s some dark elements involving the crazy doctor, a rescue mission, and the cyborg/human family I’ve become fond of. Any lover of sci-fi romance will thoroughly enjoy this book! 4 stars

Reaper

The evil Dr. Is horrific , I had to skip reading what she does to Reaper and I cried at the aftermath . But that is just me , I have to be in the right mood to read that kind of torture to a favorite character. However the book has a HEA ending. Kelsey is an excellent writer.

Loved this new series!!!

I started book 1 yesterday finished book 2 today!!! I normally wait until the series is finished before I read them saving myself the pain of waiting but this one just sounded so good I couldn't resist. I loved both of the Cyborg stories but Reaper was my favorite. This one is a total winner

LOVE this series!!!!!

This is such a good series!! First, read them in order. This book continues the story of the cyborg rebellion. Dash and Iris, from the first book, are mentioned frequently. Reaper, Aria and Theo are amazing. They're so believable and likeable, even when Reaper is being a military model a-hole. It does need some minor editing.

Wow!

Loved it !!!! The story covered every known emotion. I had tears in my eyes at one point. I really appreciated the tenderness this book contained. Even though humans and cyborgs were alike, that meant that they could be bad and/or good. This book has it all. Kudos to Ms. Price !

We need more Cyborgs

I was not a fan of Reaper in Dash's story, but after starting Reaper's story I realized there was more to this Military Model then just a warrior. Theo is adorable and it would be fun to read a story about him finding a female to make goo-goo eyes at.

Excellent series and can't wait for the next book

Reaper

I must tell you the first book was cute, but this one hands down tugged at all my heartstrings. Funny and brought tears to my eyes. The talent she showed writhing this story was AMAZING! Reaper was one cyborg with an attitude, who showed that even a harass can have a heart. A MUST READ!

Want more

This sci-fi romance was a marvelous adventure and love story. With strong lovable characters I just wanted to keep. I would love to hear many more of their stories. This one focused on Reaper and Aria and the young cyborg orphan Theo. I enjoyed how the author showed Reapers evolution from a damaged hard military cyborg to one who showed his heart more

I didn't enjoy this as much as book 1, mostly because the ratio of sex scenes to story line was a little skewed for my liking. Howver, the writing and story flow smoothly which makes it an enjoyable read. Happy to wait for book 3 without any great urgency.

New favorite series

You can't help but fall in love with these cyborgs..so much personality in spite of the cruelty inflicted on them. Like humans they are diverse and conflicted. Their humans are interesting and kind and just as conflicted.
