Be Yours Trilogy #2

Be Your Savior

Rate this book
Two months ago, I came to Independence Point, WI for inspiration, and I certainly wasn’t looking for love. But it found me anyway in the form of an alluring, tall, gorgeous, and tattooed man named Seth Archer. He’s the magnetic lead singer of an up and coming, successful local rock band, and he persisted his way into my heart despite all my efforts to keep him out. I found the love, but not the muse.

I’m Jessalie Reynolds: A writer who can no longer write, a woman starting over for a third time, and I’m literally drowning in a secret that could threaten our future together. Seth may have some darkness, but I’m not without my own shadows; a secret darkness that might mean the end of us. The end of everything.
I succeeded in pulling Seth back from the edge before, but this time I need him to be my savior, before the one leaping off the edge is me.

**Update** ALL "Curse" books will be on audio; Invisible and Inevitable are already available, Insatiable is in production and should be available by year's end, and Invincible will be available a couple of months after release. **

Sariah Skye physically resides with her family in southern Minnesota but mentally everyone is pretty sure she’s from Uranus. She’s a typical quirky Aquarian that swears too much, loves wine, shiny objects, and hates sarcasm and never, ever uses it.
She also loves Star Trek, Doctor Who, ‘90s reruns, and Imagine Dragons (probably a little too much).
In addition to all this oddity she’s an unprofessional obsessive fangirl, loves reading, hates anything domestic, and loves her pretty pink straitjacket. Oh, and she loves to chat with her unwilling kidnappees—err, “fans”, online at various places, like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram .Or drop her an email at sariahskyeauthor@gmail.com or private message her on Facebook.
She also has a private group called the Shenanigan Squad for anyone who might possibly want to follow her works, progress, or just share a silly meme war (though she really doesn’t understand why anyone is there, she loves them all nevertheless). If you want to join, you’re more than welcome:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/11818...

You can also sign up for her newsletter, and maybe she’ll actually remember to send one out one of these days: http://eepurl.com/cqSJWD

I genuinely like just how real these characters are. They have real-life problems to go along with their fairytale-like love. This isn't some cutesy story where there is a big, bad villain trying to keep them a part. Instead, this story (this trilogy really) is about the internal demons that might plague a relationship, and I believe the author does a good job of bringing these types of problems to light in the story.

Character-wise, I really fell for Seth a bit more in this book. I thought the first book had done a great job of introducing the characters, providing some background, and depicting some character development. However, in this book I felt as though Seth had a great deal of character development. He really grew. Jessie didn't really seem to have much development. We learned more about her past, whereas the first book we learned more about his past, but beyond that she didn't really grow as a person in this book. Toward the very end, we get some. Similar to Seth in the first book. Considering the amount of world and character introduction thr first book required, less character development is often expected. Come the second book, generally we expect to see that development really take off. I believe it did for Seth but not so much for Jessie. I'm hoping in the last book we get to see more growth from Seth, but really I hope we get some real character growth from Jessie.

I absolutely love how detailed this storyline and all the characters are. This series so far deals with real life issues such as mental illness, alcoholism and biological issues and all of the things that people deal with on a daily basis. I love the main characters Jessie and Seth, how even though they both deal with their own illnesses, fears, etc, they stick together and support one another. In the last book, Be Your Downfall, we learned about Seth's mental illness and both Seth's past and some of Jessie's past and her experience in dealing with mental illness of a partner. This book is a fantastic continuation of Seth and Jessie's story. But this time not only are they trying to keep Seth on track but they are dealing with Jess's biological clock ticking away at her and everyone around them either giving birth or adopting. Things need to be discussed and compromise can be made. I really love how this time we are seeing Seth be the one to help Jessie as she works through her inner demons. I love how their love for each other saves them both. Some of the twists I was not expecting and they broke my heart a little bit. That surprise at the end was a phenomenal twist and I can't wait to see how they handle it all in book 3. Emotional rollercoaster ride for sure, one I want to ride again and again. I love this series so far and I can't wait for the third book in this fantastic trilogy!

No spoilers of any kind included or I’m going to try to not give away any spoilers that is.
This story was absolutely freaking amazing!
Omg I thought the first book in this series was awesome but Be Your Savior just blew it out of its spot.
This book gave me a rush all throughout the whole story.
Lots of steam, lots of ups and downs, twists and turns that I actually felt like I was on an amusement park ride.
Lizzie Fox aka Sariah Skye is an amazing story weaving genius with the way she’s able to transport her readers into the world that she has created.
She makes her reader fall in love with the MCs by making them just like us by making them perfectly imperfect, flaws and all.
So it’s going to be a big HECK FREAKIN YEAH I most definitely do recommend this book to anyone who’s searching for a positively amazing story to get lost within.
But far warning if you haven’t read the first book in this series well then I highly suggest that you do otherwise you will get confused on a lot of things.

Be Your Savior follows Seth and Jessie's relationship and gets into more detail about Jessie's troubled past. We get appearances from others who have played important roles in both Seth and Jessie's lives. Seth and Jessie try to keep their relationship strong, whilst Seth's career is taking off. The impacts of Seth's career on Jessie are huge - does she have what it takes to be a rockstar's partner? Just like Be your Downfall, Be Your Savior is raw, emotional and vulnerable and focuses on tough topics. It's a great second installment in the Be Yours Trilogy.

I am so in love with this series. It's just amazing. My heart was all over the place in this book. The ups and downs keep you hanging onto every word with baited breath. Jessalie and Seth are perfect . They love each other unconditionally and want only the best for each other no matter what. This book focuses more on Jessalie's demons. Seth realizes she needs him just as much as he needs her. They both complete each other. I could say so much more but I don't want to give away any spoilers. It's a wonderful story!

I really enjoyed reading this book. In this edition, Jessie & Seth find ways to save each other, despite the fact they both have to deal with their own personal demons both individually and together.

If you are a fan of raw romance that really cuts to the heart of the relationship, you will enjoy reading this series. That being said, I strongly recommend you read these books in order. The development of these characters is amazingly well-crafted in each story, and you don't want to miss a detail.

This is a sequel to Be Your Downfall and reading book 1 first is a must. I found this book to be exyremely good. It was less intense and more light hearted than the first. Although this book still deals with subjects that are triggers to many, the character's relationship lightends the loan. I love Jess and Seth's relationship and their message of love can conquer all. I'm really looking forward to reading book 3 and cant wait to see how it all ends.

❤️ Seth and Jessalie

This is a great follow up to book one and I loved reading more about the characters and their story. This book has more of a focus on Jessalie and her struggles/secrets. I love that the author is continuing their story and allowing readers to see the power of love, along side the right support can bring healing and new beginnings to broken lives.

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem

The romance genre is full of Insta-love stories. While I sometimes love getting lost in a short easy story, I in general would rather read about relatable issues and real relationship struggles. Jessie and Seth's story is that and even more. The compassion and love they have for each other is endless.

Great love story!

This was a amazing story about struggles, loss, and true love triumphing in a modern setting! Books 1 & 2 are so fabulous and now I'm cutting this review short so that I can buy and enjoy book 3!

Life is always a roller coaster

Life with a loved one with mental illness has a lot of ups and downs. Caregivers tend to try to “protect “ them by keeping things hidden. Thank you for showing both sides of the story. They are not told often enough. Love this series.

Contemporary romance at its best!
We continue the story of Jessalie and Seth. If the first book was awesome, this is effing amazing.
This author has the ability to bring all the drama and find a way through it all to let love endure.
Highly recommendable series.

Another raw, emotional and deep book that captivates the reader and has the reader inhaling it! This book goes more in depth into the characters and the ability to overcome those obstacles in their relationship. A great continuation to the series!
