Welcome to Crimson Elite, the most exclusive sex club in the world.
Enter at your own risk, and always remember our number one rule—
You must never speak of Crimson Elite—the punishment is severe.

Creed ‘Too Hot for Words’ Christopher

If God created the perfect man he would closely resemble Creed, on the outside that is.
He’s as cavalier as they come. Unconcerned. Cold. Dismissive. I wonder if he has any feelings at all.
And when his lips touch mine, everything goes black. He takes me into his world, and it’s the most magical thing I’ve ever experienced.
And I’m sucked in time and time again.
Like a moth to the flame, I am ready to be set alight.

Elicea ‘F*cks With My Head’ Beckham

Elicea is a firecracker. She has piqued my interest, and no one piques my interest anymore.
Beautiful women are what I do—it’s my work.
Not one of them has managed to get their claws into me the way she does. It’s as if she’s seeing my icy heart and trying to melt it, set it alight with each touch of her sinful lips.
But that can’t work, it won’t work.
Not in my world.

Very enjoyable audiobook!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
Romance: 💙💚🖤💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📔
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎🌏
Character development: 😁☺️🤬🥵😘

The heroine: Elicea - a waitress who is not afraid to stand up for herself. Sometimes to her own detriment. When she fights back against a handsy customer she immediately quits her job rather than get fired.

The Hero(s): Creed - he and his friends own the Crimson Elite. An ultra exclusive sex club where rich and famous come to play. They take privacy and secrecy very seriously and Creed is the one that doles out the punishments for anyone that breaks the non-disclosure agreement they sign when they become a member or come to work at the club.

The Story: Creed and his friend are at the restaurant and see Elicia fight for herself and walk out. Creed follows her out and offers her a job as bartender at his club. Elicia agrees and feels a pull toward Creed like she never felt before.

The love story between Creed and Elicia goes through a lot of ups and downs. Creed is of the mind that he is damaged and incapable of love because he enjoys his job. Though he loves his mother, he has never been in a relationship and doesn’t want one. Though he does want Elicea.

I liked the supporting characters in this book. The other guys who own the Crimson Elite with Creed were great and all have strong personalities. I plan to read on in this series to get their stories as well. This wasn’t your standard sex club (BDSM) type book. Despite the fact that many of the scenes take place in the club, this wasn’t a BDSM or sex club book. It was just the place they worked and the guys make a ton of money on the club so go to mafia-like extremes to safeguard their business.

The narration was done by Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright and they did a terrific job. I like the alpha male, gravely voice of Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie sounded age appropriate for Elicia. I enjoyed listening to this one and can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series.

⭐️ 5 "Explosive" Stars ⭐️
Cavalier sounded amazing just from the blurb and it incontestably ended up being a highly addictive read! I couldn’t put this book down and read it in one sitting! T.L. Smith shaped a couple with an explosive chemistry that burned up the pages and fashioned an intriguing fast-paced plot! I absolutely loved everything about this novel!

Creed is such a fascinating hero. I love that kind of distant, broody and dominant man with a dark side you want to understand better. He’s all enigmatic and has such a compelling presence. When he first meets Elicea, he’s instantly intrigued by the feisty brunette and offers her a job at his sex club, Crimson Elite! He admires the boldness and defiance she shows and is so alluring to him. She’s definitely an interesting heroine that isn’t afraid to push him outside of his comfort zone. She’s not bowing to his demands and I love this kind of strong lead woman!

This couple has the kind of powerful connection that made me lose my breath from their excessively intense attraction. Their relationship is sinfully hot, but it also evolves into something more. Creed isn’t familiar with these kind of affectionate feelings he develops for Elicea, but in the way he acts with her it’s clear she’s becoming important to him. He’s jealous and possessive when other men take an interest in her. His friendly rivalry with Falcon was surely entertaining. I loved witnessing this alpha losing his mind over Elicea! It was exciting and sweet at the same time.

This first novel in the Crimson Elite Series was utterly amazing! T.L. smith outdid herself with the level of passion and suspense packed into Cavalier. I'm more than intrigued with Creed's partners at Crimson Elite and can't wait for their own novels. Grab this incredibly sexy story now, you’ll sure have a great time!

This book... holy god, it was like a shock to my system, to my senses... to everything in me. From the moment I saw the blurb of Cavalier—and that delectable cover—I knew I wanted to get in on it. It just sounded so dark and daring and sexy as hell. And I was right—it was absolutely all of that and more. It was raw and gripping and downright intriguing. Every page had me holding my breath and clutching the sheets. I was completely sucked into the world of Crimson Elite and there was just no getting out. Nope, because I never wanted to put this book down.

Creed doesn’t care, doesn’t have any feelings. He’s completely cavalier about everything, or so he says.

Creed was an enigma with layers upon layers of complicated darkness. One minute, he’s got you melting at the palm of his hand, and the next, you’ll want nothing more than to kick him in the nuts. Let’s just say that he retreats and shuts down as quickly as he can make a girl come. He doesn’t talk as much as his friends do either, so you tend to hang onto every word he says even more. But as perplexing as this man is, he’ll just have you hooked the more you unravel him. Getting to know Creed, peeling off those layers, was honestly one of the highlights of this book. It’s like a drug, giving you the best kind of high you could never shake. And I loved it—I loved watching it all unfold every step of the way.

He’s like heaven and hell wrapped in a package that was made purely for me.

Elicea, on the other hand, was a heroine with a backbone of steel. No matter how intense and heady Creed’s effect was on her, she still found the strength to stand up for herself. She knew her limits and she stuck to them. She thrived on her independence and didn’t accept any handouts. She’d rather break her back working, knowing she got what she deserved, than to take the easy way out and take advantage of people. Spellbound by Creed’s charm or not, she stayed true to herself and I admired her to hell and back for that.

The kiss I know no one could ever replace. Because even when his lips leave mine, and his breath no longer licks my own, I still can’t open my eyes. Who kisses someone like that? Creed does.

Together, these two were pure and absolute fire. Creed and Elicea’s relationship—and the way it progressed—was far from conventional, but it was sinfully delicious, hot as fuck, and so uniquely theirs. Their chemistry was intoxicatingly explosive and so powerful, you’ll feel it deep in your bones with every page you turn. And the tension—it just grew so thick, you’ll have chills every time they collide.

T.L. Smith has undoubtedly created a world that’s so incredibly addictive and irresistible with Crimson Elite. Cavalier’s plot, characters and the emotions radiating from them will just have you tangled up in knots right from the get go, and you won’t be able to help but devour and want more of it even thereafter. This is only the beginning, but by the time you hit the last page of this book, you’ll end up being the one who won’t want to escape it all. I’m ready—my body is ready. Bring on the next book!

I don’t know what happened when reading this. Cavalier sounded promising with an enticing blurb that offered salacious deviance, an exclusive club setting, a dismissive hero, a feisty heroine and one explosive relationship. However, reading this made me so frustrated with everything that happened between Creed and Elicea.

I couldn’t connect with either character nor their relationship. It disappoints me because I loved Kandiland! Majority of this narrative is revolved around Creed and Elicea’s instant attraction towards each other in between some intimate scenes. I couldn’t step inside these characters’ heads, to feel that same attraction; to understand the inexplicable draw towards each other.

Creed doesn’t care, doesn’t have any feelings. He’s completely cavalier about everything, or so he says.

Creed is described as being quite aloof; the quintessential tall, dark and handsome brooding type. While this is an appealing characterisation, it didn’t work with Creed as these attributes were mentioned far too often they lost all lustre. I found Creed neither compelling nor enigmatic, because it felt as if an insignificant amount of information was disclosed about his personality. When we eventually learned more about this complicated character, it was repetitive detail.

On one hand, I appreciated Elicea—she’s a strong-willed woman with thriving independence and rooted pride. She realised her limits and understood them, believing that hard work is more fulfilling than accepting easy options and handouts, no matter how charming and spellbinding Creed is. However, on the other, she’s stubborn beyond anything else.

He's like heaven and hell wrapped in a package that was made purely for me.

‘Complicated’ isn’t an accurate word to describe this couple’s relationship. Sexual tension between Creed and Elicea created a desirable build up, otherwise they played a constant game of push and pull, or they’d keep running away from each other rather than have a mature conversation. Creed's friends—Echo, Darby and Falcon—are, too, immature asshats. One second they're vilifying Elicea, the next they want Elicea back with Creed.

I despised the ending trope. Without giving much information away, it felt easy. Cheap, a convenient excuse to bring the couple together. It added virtually nothing, sad to say.

Welcome to Crimson Elite, the most exclusive sex club in the world. Enter at your own risk, and always remember our number one rule—You must never speak of Crimson Elite—the punishment is severe. This book started off really interesting but quickly turned sour I don't think I have ever read a book that the story line is so disjointed, it was all over the place and at time pretty immature, with zero chemistry between the characters they were really boring, this book was not for me at all.

I did enjoy the narration.

This just shows you that a hot guy on the cover doesn’t equal a good story inside.

I guess anyone can write and publish a book these days. I couldn’t pass the juvenile writing.

“His torso is carved straight out of the best models that ever walked a runway. His hands drop to his trousers and I lean up on my elbows as I wait for him to drop them, eagerly waiting to see what’s been pressed upon me several times before.”

There is a thousand ways to describe a sexy body and you choose this lazy approach.
But hey, thumbs up for the attempt though.

I recently had the fourth book Insolent show up as a GR recommendation for “hero hung up on an ex” (it’s not) and noticed that this has been sitting on my kindle for about four years… so I decided to bang it out first. The blurb sounded alright, but I’m pretty positive I purchased this because of the smoking hot cover.

Creed is the quiet muscle (a smidge like Trent from Scandalous- there’re also 4 of them that went to school together and into business) of their secret sex club… which is hardly discussed.

Myself—in charge of the girls and recruiting them. Echo—in charge of security. Falcon—handles the money. Plus, finds our Elite customers. Darby, mainly known as D—who runs everything else.

One night out he notices Elicea and offers her a job. Creed is smitten, but he doesn’t talk much… so we don’t get a ton from him. Elicea is that h type that’s “feisty”, but it’s portrayed more as childish and prickly. Like she’s so tough but runs every time she’s overwhelmed.

I didn’t like this one; I couldn’t get on board with the general mood of the book. It’s hinted at being dark and dangerous with H’s that aren’t afraid to kill if needed plus the criminal/secret sex club shenanigans, but it wasn’t. We’re told about how ruthless the H’s are, but it’s never backed up… and the sex club is barely on page. If I’m honest, if felt immature and silly at times. I’m feeling lazy so I’m just going to post some examples…

Bottom Line- A miss for me… I started skimming hard around 50% and would’ve DNF had I not spent $4 on it. I found her annoying AF and him a poor excuse for an alpha male. The audiobook is free if you have an audible membership. Good narration but zero chemistry.

Creed shouldn't be the first book from the series...
We didn't get to see his personality from another point of view, and so we don't get his dark personality, because he is all love sick puppy since the beginning. It's only from the friend's point of view that we know that his behavior is not normal.

Their relationship Is a bit forced!

She is not that special, and we don't get why he was so drawn to her...

The blurb is a little misleading... The story doesn't focus on the sex club, neither is dark.

My favorite of the Crimson bosses was Echo, but I'm not too excited so see his baby mama drama...

Darcy was the most intriguing... I hope he has a girl tuck in that house of his!! 😂

SO MUCH NO.

I couldn’t stand the heroine. She was weak and whiney and treated the H like complete shit. There was zero chemistry between the H and the h, which made me not care one iota whether they ended up together in the end or not. The audiobook was narrated well - I just hated the plot and the characters. Pretty much everything else.

Recipe for interesting book:
Sex club
Men who are so good looking they don’t look real
Names that are mysterious nouns (Echo, Creed, Falcon.. oh and then Darby? Fucking Darby? What’d you do to piss off the author?)
People getting off’d if they talk about fight club. I mean sex club. You know, because it’s soooo secret and special. But it only has “girls” 🙄 bc a sex club with men for hire in it is just so not going to happen in this world. ::insert side eye::

Ok I’m clearly running out of good things to say. There’s so much potential here and it failed. Utterly failed.

The MMC is supposed to be the quiet broody type but falls flat. He’s lacking something integral to making him feel real. He feels two dimensional. And the MFC isn’t any better. Their instalust/love is so shallow and unbelievable. The other characters are interesting & it’s almost enough to make me keep reading… but is it? Is it enough? I have 33 years worth of a TBR list and not sure I need to go any further than this.

Oh, last rant-

It’s as if these grown ass people don’t know how babies are made. 🙄

She blames him for “not wearing protection” as if she wasn’t conscious all the times they had unprotected sex. Wtf is wrong with these characters.

I was expecting a magnificent storyline, based on the cover which is stunning I'm sadden it was not even close to the cover.

El is a girl with the attitude of a petulant child yet is an adult her story really never clear or interesting other than she needs a job and is no pushover WTH.

Creed and Elicea have zero and I mean zero chemistry. Creed is supposed to be this cold dark scary yet beautiful man to me he was more like a kid playing killer for no reason other than he was bored. This book is not dark, nor romantic and definitely not funny. It's a complete disaster. Creed loves his Ma as he calls her which according to one chapter she struggled to raise him and another chapter he says they were always wealthy his mom being a successful lawyer yet he bought her a house when he made his own money and began to support her financially. Really!!! No sense at all then he is this bad dark wolf who craves darkeness I swear i'm laughing now.

I gave this book a two because the cover is great and the book really had potential unfortunately the writer just didn't decide which way to go and was all over the place.

As an avid reader I expect a book to hit me in the heart either funny, sad, romantic, etc. But when the writer puts her or his thoughts and words together and makes an epic story that stays with you I applaud it. I fill this book was dead before it had a chance the words and the way the characters communicate with each other which was really by nothing was just horrid and a total disaster. If this author would have made a story out of these characters were there was connection, feelings, tears, emotions I would have given her a 4 but this book had nothing zero nada..

Another great start to a new series by an author who always gives the reader something different. Although we meet four broody sexy alphas this book focuses on Creed and the woman who gets under his skin. I love when authors write strong resourceful independent women and Elicea is all that and more. A story that is dark and delicious and also crazy hot. Can't wait to get the other men's books I'm intrigued by all of them.

This sounded so promising and the author had to use the most useless couple to fall in love. The couple had no chemistry whatsoever. It’s just dead. Fyi, sex doesn’t make chemistry for a couple!!! The heroine is annoying and immature. I couldn’t stand her after awhile. I just wanted to the hero to just fucking leave her or something. It was a bad read because of the horrible main characters.

I knew I was gonna love this book and for me TL Smith has gone back to her old ways of writing and giving no fucks in doing so. She shows the guts of her old works. The ones I first fell in love with and in Creed I see 2 of my favourite characters of hers shining through.

This book isn't all sweetness and light, far from it in actual fact and I found myself sucked straight to the story and fought sleep, cussing my Kindle and eventually giving in for a few hours to jump feet first back in. Now I refuse to say anymore on story or what happens but know it's brilliant.

Creed And Elicea are great, playing a brilliant game of cat and mouse from both sides is the making of the story. But in saying that the other 3 men is this book are fantastic all in their own special ways. Bring on their books. I really can't wait.

Another huge recommend from me. This book will leave you with the feels and a raging temper. Well maybe that could just be me.

This was a quick and very enjoyable read. It had the perfect amount of suspense, steam and sweet moments. The storyline was engaging, and both protagonists were well rounded.

Creed and Elicea have explosive chemistry, they're completely different type of people but they work so well as a couple. I loved their interactions and felt a genuine connection between them. There's a bit of drama thrown in, to spice things up, but things fall into place quickly and I couldn't help but swoon at how their relationship grew. I'm definitely gonna continue reading this series because all of Creed's friends are very interesting and want to know more about them.

"We may not end up perfect, we may not end up the happiest couple to ever walk this earth, but one thing I know for sure is that I will have room in my heart to love her"

Ending this year with another powerful, sexy, dark romance. Cavalier is the first in an all-new series by T.L. Smith called Crimson Elite. Even the sound of it is delicious, and it is. I wish I could love it as much as it deserves, but in the end, it was an okay read for me.

Elicea is trying to make ends meet with her job, but she's on the end of the line working as a bartender. And then coincidence has it that she met Creed when she finally quits her old job. Like an angel sent from above, Creed offered her a job working for him and his three equally good-looking-slash-mysterious friends as a bartender in his elite sex club.

Everything from then on is a whirlwind of emotion. It'll take you through a dark tunnel, downhill, uphill, and into the clearings, and on and on again. I got dizzy after reading it. Luckily, it's not a lot to take, so I'm sure you'll get to enjoy it.

First, I love a dark romance, so of course, I decided to pick this one up because the blurb is amazing. Second, who's not intrigued by an exclusive sex club? no worries it's not as graphic as it sounds.

Although, I wouldn't mind. Third, Creed is sinfully delicious. He's as reserved as a man can be and very very possessive of a woman he said to have no feelings for. Lastly, the heroine, Elicea is something else, hence her name. She's stubborn as hell, has enough backbone to back her up, and takes no shit. Literally, a superwoman, in the most humble ways.

Okayy, moving on to the sad part of why this book didn't work out that great for me. Partly because of the characters' relationship. I feel like watching a tennis game where they toss the ball over and over to each other waiting for the other person to drop it. The on and off is the very definition of 'complicated' in a Facebook status. And in the end, I don't know whether they're officially in a relationship or not. I know there are some people that like the 'go with the flow' relationship and you don't have to label it.
But in the end, I have no confirmation that's why I felt undecided. And that robbed me of the satisfactory ending. Also, because I'm very invested in the romance and the relationship is the biggest factor that contributes to it.

Nevertheless, would I recommend it? I would. It's an okay read for me, but I'm sure it would be another experience, and hopefully, satisfying read for you. So, if you're into a dark, steamy, hot affair, this book is for you!

Definitely not a gentleman...a cavalier indeed.

3,5 stars

It was my first book by this author and I enjoyed it really much, but I think the story had so much potential yet to be explored.

The plot was fast paced and a little disjointed, things would change suddenly and, more often than not, the couple were looping, kind of dancing around each other in a hot-and-could relationship. I think I needed a deeper background and personality for both the hero and the heroine.
I had a little difficult time believing their feelings for each other.

But even so, I enjoyed the heat and the secondary characters. I was intrigued by their banter and their realities, I liked their interactions and I enjoyed their friendship that outgrew their fights and arguments.

I want to know more about them and I need to read the next books in this series, and I also want to know more about this author.

Finally, an audiobook that didn’t make me want to toss my phone against the wall!

This was my first-ever TL Smith book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I kept getting pleasantly surprised with how things unfolded as the story went along. Also, if you love HOT books, trust me when I say this one is your jam! 😂 Holy hotness, Batman! Creed and Elicea sure had a very healthy sex life. I definitely do not recommend listening with anyone around! 😅 I kept having to lower the volume in a panic every time a sex scene rolled along, and it happened often. 🔥😂

I absolutely loved Creed’s character. Mysterious, broody, and angsty! My only issue with this book was Elicea. Her reaction to certain, uh, events, kind of irritated me, but honestly, it wasn’t that big of deal. I still did like her character overall which was great since lately that’s been my biggest issues with books.

Oh! Alsoooo…I absolutely LOVED the dynamic between the Crimson Elite guys. I am very much looking forward to checking out Echo, Darby, and Falcon’s stories!

The narrators, Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright, did a great job bringing the different characters to life.

All in all, a great book and one I recommend!

I devoured this in one day! TL Smith can write hot and steamy like no other. I was sucked into the dark, mysterious and sexy world of the Crimson Elite from the beginning of this one, and I am so excited for this new series by her. These men are arrogant, successful, wealthy and extremely devoted and protective of one another. They look after each other like brothers, and I loved their relationships as much as Creed & Elicea's.

Creed is one of those tall, dark and yes...cavalier heroes who you really don't want to like, but you can't help but fall for him. Gah - this man! From his tailored suits, to his broody attitude, to his stalker-like tendencies with Elicea - he is all Alpha-asshole and I am here for it. I absolutely loved his fascination with Elicea from their first encounter, and no matter how intimidating this man is to everyone else - he has no problem showing them all how he really feels about her. He is possessive and passionate and I loved every second of it.

"He's like heaven and hell wrapped in a package that was made purely for me." - Elicea

Elicea is a simple girl who is just struggling to make ends meet when she meets Creed. I loved her naivete at times, but also her fierceness and determination. She did not let Creed or anyone at the Crimson Elite get to her. I love strong, independent heroines and she was definitely one.

Elicea & Creed together were all-consuming. Their chemistry was off the charts, and their push and pull kept the pace of their story going non-stop. Sometimes we just need the dirty and gritty, and Creed and Elicea's story is just that. Not only did I fall for Creed, but the other men of the Crimson Elite are just as tantalizing, and I can't wait to get my hands on their stories. Well done once again TL Smith!

First I have to say that this is my first book by T.L. Smith and I feel like I have lived under a rock in the reading world because HOLY HADES SWEET BABY JESUS this woman can WRITE! I mean she threw me into a world where I wanted no needed more because I could not get enough and with each page I wanted to know more about each character and I was scrambling to read and ended up reading all night till I finished the story.

This is the first book in The Crimson Elite serious and holy hell it started off with a BANG! I mean we get this alpha sexy AF smart male who is business with his friends. The business is a secretive sex club that no ones knows about unless you are invited and if you tell anyone else about it you will end up....... I don't know because everyone keeps their mouth shut because they love the club so much. When you are reading you get this feel that the club owners are into to some serious dark and kinky stuff that may be just a tad bit better than BDSM.

Creed is one of the owners of the club and he hires Elicea. Only when he hired her did not know his life was about to change and change it did. Creed is sexy AF and always brooding and just a straight up a$$hole. Elicea is a no nonsense girl that takes no crap from anyone and she sure as hell is not going to take Creeds crap. I love the banter between these two because they run hot and cold and are always going at it because neither will back down. Then add in the chemistry these two have, it is amazing just simply amazing. I was so enthralled with these two I need more of them. I need another book to see how they continue their relationship.

Cavalier introduces us to a new dark world created by our queen of the dark. T. L. Smith again created a magical world that will suck you right in. The Crimson Elite Club lead by men with charisma you can't simply escape. Be warned: Entering at your own risk.

"It's like he takes away my world and replaces it with his. Everything is black and all I can see and feel is him."

Creed, I can't describe him any better than the blurb already does. A dark soul, speckled with gold and a golden heart, speckled with black. What you'll get to see depends on what he wants to show you. Radiating something you can't explain, he's an enigma you want to solve.

"He's like heaven and hell wrapped in a package that was made purely for me. Will our hell take over, or will light shine through our darkness?"

Elicea is the woman you want to be in this story. You want her strength, her courage, her wit and definitely you want to be the woman touched and inflamed by Creed. Her chemistry with Creed is off the charts, creating steamy hot scenes you don't want to read in public.

"It's a kiss that makes the stars sing. A kiss that begins all great love stories. This is our great love story."

Taking a chance on Cavalier you must be prepared for a pageturner that won't let you sleep. It will drive you sheer crazy: Drama, darkness alpha males, sassy women and a unique storyline. Even after turning the last page, it will leave you craving for more.
