This was one of the easier simple Hebrew books that I’ve read. It is the story of a secular Jewish woman from Australia who marries an observant Jew and makes Aliyah in the late 1960’s. She has a very hard time adjusting to life in Israel, and especially learning Hebrew, but eventually comes to feel very connected to the land and the people.
